RAIN'S EYES snapped open, the first thing that came to her sight was the night sky. Stars light the sky like snowflakes scattered around the dark canvas, yet appear still like a picture frame. Rain smiled, it was a promise of life in the darkness, a sense of warmth springing from the coldness. She always liked the night sky. It was such a welcoming sight, appearing like magic and disappearing, promising to appear again.
She peeked at Keith from under her lashes and admired him, the light of the moon reflecting onto his face giving her the perfect view. She blushed a little as she thought about their previous activity. They did it again, not once- but three times.
She glanced at Keith, his hair was messy but not in a bad way, in the sexy bed hair way. He had long eyelashes that framed his chiselled face. She gazed at his lips and wondered what it would be like to kiss him. Although they had slept together, he didn't have the intention of kissing her which led her to wonder what it would be like.
Will he be rough or soft?
Rain groaned as she realised what she thought, of course he would be rough, it's him.
Her heat was finally over and she was glad she took the decision to mate with a male, she looked at Keith's arm which was tight across her waist. When she tried moving from him he would only tighten it.
"Keith..." She whispered as she slowly nudged on his arm. He groaned in annoyance, burying his head in Rain's chest and Rain let out a low, warning growl.
"What the fuck do you want?" He muttered, placing a soft kiss on her chest.
"For you to let me go,"
"Never." He replied.
What are you doing? Stay with him!
Rain shut out her wolf, now was not the time. She needed to get away from this male and fast. She nibbled on his earlobe and he smirked, giving her nipple a pinch.
"Let me go..."
"No."
She was frustrated and wanted to bash the males face in, but she needed to think of a better plan and a more believable one for her to be set free.
"Keith." She spoke, Keith growled in hunger when she spoke his name. "I need to pee, I promise I will," not "return to you." Keith was silent and she thought she had failed but when he loosened his grip on her she smirked in satisfaction.
"Aright, but if I see you gone then trust me mate you'll regret it." He looked into her eyes, meaning every word. There was a dark glint in his eyes and Rain knew it was something she wouldn't like.
Too bad, you'll have to find me first.
Rain thought, she quickly got up putting on Keith's shirt that he lent her. She made her way deeper into the woods and when she was far from sight she shifted into her wolf and ran. She wouldn't make it in human form especially with the pain between her legs.
What are you doing? He's our mate!
Rain reminded her wolf, mate or not, they are all the same. Her wolf wasn't pleased.
Rain pushed herself to run faster, she made her wolf cover up her scent so it was hard for Keith to find her.
Rain shivered when she heard a loud growl echoing throughout the forest. Keith had obviously noticed her disappearance and she pushed herself more knowing that Keith was already looking for her. She didn't once look back.
Rain growled when she felt a force throughout her mind, she was confused at first but came to a realisation that someone was trying to communicate with her. She wasn't in ties with anyone to be communicating with them. And then it hit her...
No, it couldn't be!
Rain thought as her mind went into panic, her wolf was happily wagging her tail in delight. Rain tried blocking the force but failed as it got stronger. He was fighting back harder.
Don't block me out, mate.
Rain mentally gasped, it couldn't be. She thought. But how? It wasn't possible for a male to connect with his female without the mark.
How are you doing that?
Innocent little Rain, you don't know shit about me. Maybe if you return to me then I'll tell you.
Never!
Rain could feel his anger, she could picture the dark smirk on his face as he caught her. Even if she wanted to come back, there was no way he'd let her get off that easily.
When I find you, I'm going to put that fucking mark on you so you better watch your back mate.

Rain struggled a little on her paws, he was growling again and this time it was much louder. She couldn't help but whimper a little in fear at the power and anger that was put into that growl. He was fucking pissed.
She ignored his growls and when he communicated with her, she realised the less she communicates with him the harder it would be for him to find her. If she continued on communicating with him her wolf would give them away.
And so she continued on running, running from her mate and a not so bright future.
Or so she thought.

It has been a week, a week since she last saw her mate. Rain settled down in a human town far away from any nearby packs. She would continue on running in a week or so until she thinks it's safe to settle down completely.
Rain's wolf wasn't happy about her decision to run away, she wanted to stay with her mate, to be by his side, to love him, to give him a pup. Rain couldn't help but cringe at the thought of love and providing pups. She would never love and she would never create pups with any males anytime soon.
Rain was currently settling down in a kind lady's house, the kind lady- called Sophia found her taking shelter under a tree with bruises all over her body. Rain was confused at first but then she realised what bruises she was on about- the bruises that were created by her mate.
Rain was embarrassed a little but didn't correct Sophia, Rain felt guilty for taking advantage of her kindness but she had to do what she had to do.
"Ella dear, I made you some cookies!" Sophia called out.
"I'll be right there!" Rain replied, she gave Sophia a fake name not wanting to draw any attention towards herself. She quickly slipped on a pair of jeans and a black, patterned t-shirt. Sophia gave the clothes to her saying it was from her daughters old pile of clothes.
Rain ran downstairs, heading towards the kitchen where Sophia was. She tried keeping her distance with Sophia but Sophia was the type of person you click with in an instant.
"Here you go deary," Sophia handed her a plate of cookies with a smile on her wrinkled face, Rain thanked her, taking a bite of the delicious goodies.
"I know what you are." Sophia said, she was leaning against the counter waiting for Rain's reaction.
Rain snapped her head towards Sophia, her eyes were wide in shock.
"A human?"
"No silly, a werewolf." Sophia said, like it was a normal thing to discuss the topic of werewolves in a human town.
Rain choked on her cookie and Sophia came rushing besides her while handing her a glass of water.
"Oh dear, are you alright?"
"Y-yep, but how?"
Sophia smiled, deep in memory. She looked towards Rain and sat down in front of her while clearing her throat.
Rain was curious as to what her story was and so she listened quietly.

Do you think that Rain is making the right choice?
Personally I'm on both their sides, Rain doesn't know what it's like to be with a male but all she's ever known is how they act around females and she doesn't like what she's hearing. But at the same time she hasn't really given Keith a chance and instead ran.
