Hello, my lovely babies~♡ I know you guys are not actually babies, but I will call you that because I love you all~♡ So I put all of the chapters that I have written so far, plus all of my drafts I have into a word document and it's about 300+ pages of an absolute disaster.😂🤣 But this little work of fiction is my baby and I want to protect it, just in case anything ever happens. I can always reupload it then~♡ This chapter has some minor mention of anxiety about future plans between Tae and Kook, but I also hope you guys will enjoy the cute moments between them in this chapter too.:3 Without further ado, I give you chapter 48~♡ I hope you all will enjoy this chapter~♡♡♡

Jungkook had just given up on getting anything to eat for lunch and was about to lay back down when Taehyung bustled into the nurse's office hurriedly. Taehyung's eyes lit up at the sight of Jungkook sitting up in bed, even though his face was still extremely pale and drained of all pigment. "Jungkook," Taehyung cried softly, his voice cracking horridly as he rushed towards Jungkook. "I- I'm so happy to s- see you awake," Taehyung exclaimed, his voice cracking even more with emotion as he wrapped his arms firmly around Jungkook's neck.
Jungkook gently patted Taehyung's back to comfort him, Taehyung tilting his head down to kiss Jungkook. It was a simple peck on the lips, but it was far more than enough to have Jungkook turned on with nowhere to go. Jungkook shifted the blankets to hide that he was aroused by a simple touch of their lips and cleared his throat. "I'm happy to see you too, Tae. I'm actually really glad you came. I've missed you so much and that bitch of a nurse won't wake me when you have come to visit so
I've missed many of your visits beforehand..." Jungkook trailed off, glad to see that Taehyung was alive and well. The last time he'd actually seen Taehyung, he was still lying in the dirt, unconscious after Jeremy had choked him half to death.
Jungkook held Taehyung's hand firmly in his own as he tugged gently on Taehyung's arm. "Climb into bed with me," Jungkook instructed, realizing he was far too weak to pull Taehyung into the bed with him. Taehyung crawled over the safety rail and snuggled up beside Jungkook, the feeling of emptiness and loneliness completely dissipating as they held each other close. Taehyung was careful as he rested his arm over Jungkook's stomach, not wanting to hurt Jungkook further or rupture the stitches. "Kookie," Taehyung addressed as Jungkook looked down at Taehyung's large, doe eyes. "Would you still be able to attend my parent's soiree if it's this upcoming Tuesday?" Taehyung asked softly, afraid of how Jungkook would respond.
Jungkook tenderly ran his fingertips up the side of Taehyung's arm, thinking about how to respond to Taehyung's question. "Well, Tae. Are they going to introduce me as your boyfriend or just your friend?" Jungkook asked in retort, wondering how this was going to play out now. "Because in all honesty, if they're only going to introduce me as your friend... My feelings would be really hurt right now," Jungkook admitted as Taehyung peeked up at him. With his head resting on Jungkook's chest, Jungkook couldn't help but smile as his heart beat steadily under Taehyung's ear. "I don't want to be just your friend anymore and if they introduce that bitch as your fianceé like I think they're going to do, I'll kill myself," Jungkook declared nonchalantly, alarming Taehyung.
"Wh- What?! Why? What would I do without you, Jungkook? I- I already felt empty enough when I wasn't able to see you, how do you think I'll be if you were to die?" Taehyung asked, tears welling up in his eyes again. The memory of Jungkook's heart stopping that day always made him emotional and Jungkook didn't understand how that had affected him. "I- I don't want you to die," Taehyung whispered almost inaudible, his fingers tightening around Jungkook's sheets. Jungkook finally noticed the shift in Taehyung's demeanor as he glanced down to see large, teary eyes staring back up at him. "Tae, I know what I said hurt you, and I'm sorry. But I can't honestly see myself without you anymore. Life becomes mundane and listless, why would I want a life like that?" Jungkook asked, rubbing Taehyung's arm in reassurance. "I want to be with you and I know you want to be with me too. So why can't you break your engagement off to that asshole and just marry me?" Jungkook asked, totally catching the both of them off guard. "I- I mean, i- in the future! Marry me in the future," Jungkook enunciated, blushing furiously under Taehyung's intense gaze.
Taehyung's eyes lit up at Jungkook's words, his arms squeezing Jungkook just a little tighter. "You already know I have to be married by my eighteenth birthday, so how far in the future?" Taehyung asked teasingly, smiling a wide box up at Jungkook. Jungkook threw his head back into his pillow with an exasperated groan before lifting his head slowly once again. "Not too far, obviously," Jungkook mumbled in humiliation, caressing the underside of Taehyung's chin and tilting his head up. "Not far at all if the soiree is Tuesday," Jungkook added, freezing Taehyung on the spot.
"Wh- what?" Taehyung asked in disbelief, his eyes wide with shock as Jungkook leaned down to kiss him. The kiss was slow yet passionate, conveying all of the feelings Jungkook had been harboring over the past week. "I'll talk to my mother about allowing me to marry you, and try to convince my father as well. Will you talk to your parents about it too?" Jungkook asked as Taehyung nodded vigorously, wrapping his arms around Jungkook's neck. Taehyung buried his face in Jungkook's neck, trying to hide his emotions but Jungkook could feel Taehyung's tears dripping onto his skin.
Jungkook gently rubbed a hand down Taehyung's back, trying to soothe his crying baby. "Why are you crying, Tae?" Jungkook asked, not realizing that they were tears of happiness. Taehyung lifted his head with a large box-shaped smile on his face before resting his forehead against Jungkook's cheek. "I- I'm so happy," Taehyung finally answered, earning a soft chuckle from Jungkook. "Good, because I didn't know what I was going to do if those were tears of sadness again," Jungkook joked, pressing his hand into the small of Taehyung's back. He was desperately trying not to allow his hand to slip any further because one wrong move could not only ruin this moment but set something in motion that Jungkook wouldn't be able to handle right now.
Taehyung hesitated for a moment, wondering if he should ask the burning question on his mind but instead opted to ask an entirely different question. "So will you even be able to make it to the soiree? Or will you still be too weak?" Taehyung asked, playing with his fingers as he waited for Jungkook to respond. Jungkook shook his head at Taehyung's question, smiling at Taehyung's adorable innocence. "No, Tae. I won't be too weak at all... If I could get some fucking food," Jungkook shouted the last part towards Hyungwon's back office door, hoping that the nurse had heard him.
Taehyung glanced over towards Hyungwon's office door before he glanced back up at Jungkook. "I could make you something. And feed you too," Taehyung offered softly as Jungkook shook his head. "No, I want you to stay with me. I want him to go and get it, it's his job to nurse me back to health," Jungkook stated matter-of-factly as he held onto Taehyung tighter. Taehyung smiled up at Jungkook, laying his head on Jungkook's chest once again. "Can I at least feed you your food though?" Taehyung asked, snuggling comfortably into Jungkook once more. Jungkook chuckled and nodded at Taehyung's question. "If it means that much to you, I won't fight you," Jungkook answered as Taehyung looked up at Jungkook once more.
"You won't fight me if it means a lot to me?" Taehyung asked softly as Jungkook cocked an eyebrow but still nodded his head. "Yeah. Why?" Jungkook asked, knowing that there had to be more to this line of questioning. "What if I want to have children?" Taehyung asked softly as Jungkook swallowed hard, opting to remain silent. Jungkook took a moment to compose himself before opening his mouth to speak. "Wh- When would you want to have these children and how many?" Jungkook asked, trying to approach the subject with an open mind.
Taehyung sighed softly as he thought about it. "I mean, I don't really know when, but no more than five," Taehyung responded, earning a soft, nervous chuckle from Jungkook. "Five? Do you really want to raise five children?" Jungkook asked in response, biting his lip at the topic of conversation. He didn't think Taehyung would jump right into this conversation so soon. It made Jungkook nervous.
Taehyung laughed softly at Jungkook's response, shaking his head. "Not really. I just don't want one kid because when you and I are gone... They're going to be so lonely and stressed unless they have a sibling to help them cope," Taehyung replied, hoping that he hadn't frightened Jungkook too much. "Y- you know what? Let's just drop the topic. We can talk about it another time," Taehyung declared, worried that he may have ruined his chances with Jungkook. "Sorry," Taehyung mumbled in embarrassment. "I let my mouth get ahead of my brain. I must have scared you..." Taehyung trailed off, realizing he was still confronted with resounding silence. "You probably want to take back that marriage proposal now too?" Taehyung asked self-deprecating, refusing to meet Jungkook's gaze.
"Never," Jungkook answered solemnly, suddenly feeling extremely drowsy. He needed to rest, but he also needed to finish this conversation with Taehyung first so that he didn't think Jungkook was backing out. He tilted Taehyung's head up to meet his determined gaze, misty eyes staring back at him. "Tae, I can't live without you because then I'd be incomplete. You're the only person I've given my heart and the only person that I'd trust with my heart. Without you, I'd die and when you die, I'm going with you because I wouldn't know how to live again without you by my side," Jungkook explained softly yet hastily, trying to stay awake for his own explanation. "Nothing you say at this point is going to change my mind on how I feel about you," Jungkook added, feeling his eyes grow heavy.
Noticing that Jungkook was tired, Taehyung gently eased him into his mattress and snuggled up beside him once more. "You can't die when I go, Jungkook. What life would you have lived then?" Taehyung asked melancholy, aware that Jungkook had already drifted off to sleep again. He wanted to inform Jungkook of his impending situation, but he was also terrified to say anything about it. Especially since he'd been doing well enough to live through puberty when his family's doctor was telling them he'd perish before then. Now they just played day by day, praying that there would be a next day for Taehyung. "You wouldn't have lived a very fulfilling life at all."

After several hours of sleep, Jungkook slowly lifted his head to the heavy weight of Taehyung's head on his chest. He hadn't realized that Taehyung had stayed with him through the night, falling asleep on him at some point. Jungkook smiled softly down at Taehyung as he gently brushed some of his hair out of his face, watching him sleep peacefully. Jungkook sighed softly, rubbing his hand down Taehyung's back in a soothing gesture as he thought about how he yearned to get out of here for Taehyung's sake now. He hoped to better himself and break a hard habit in order to be the man Taehyung needed and the man that Taehyung's father would authorize to be in Taehyung's future.
He was aware of the strict life that Taehyung followed purely because of his father's rules and demands. Jungkook realized he needed to be the best version of himself on the day that he'd meet Taehyung's father. Even if he hated the man because he physically couldn't keep his hands off of Taehyung. Jungkook rubbed Taehyung's back once again, earning a small whimper from the elder male as he smiled tenderly. He wasn't lying to Taehyung anymore about how he felt and he was becoming increasingly less embarrassed when he spoke up about his feelings for Taehyung. He knew this was a step in the right direction, but he wanted to make more leaps and bounds in order to completely wipe out the existence of Hyungwon in Taehyung's future.
It was now his personal goal to ensure that Taehyung's father was so impressed by Jungkook that he would no longer view him as some useless junkie that Taehyung could do without. He sighed heavily at the thought of having to confront his own mother about his desire to marry Taehyung. They still weren't on very good terms from the fact that they'd never once come to visit him while he was imprisoned here. Although, he couldn't be more thankful that he was here because that led him to meet Taehyung.
Jungkook tossed his head back in the pillow, wondering how he was even going to be able to contact his mother. He figured he'd try to obtain a day pass when he could move around more and attempt to convince her of his desire. Being that he would only be sixteen when Tae turned eighteen, his parents would argue that he didn't know what he really wanted. So in his mind, Jungkook aimed to prepare answers to questions he thought his parents might ask as well as a simple speech about how he truly felt about Taehyung before drifting off to sleep once more.
