Over three dozen teenagers with abilities, enhancements or something else providing them an edge were taken to a secure location for one reason... To be forced to fight mercilessly to the end until only one remained.... Most of them you knew but the last one Thaddeus was an enigma. Before they were all scattered around one thing was made clear. Thad wasn't taken....He volunteered for this. For the opportunity to take people out and have it shown if he was the victor.
The five of them marched him to the location after aiming at his back. Underestimating him, he didn't look afraid in fact he seemed unimpressed.. Surprising and killing them all. Snapping their necks and watching them fall to the ground slowly.
"Do you think I helped you for your own survival? Maybe I jumped at the chance to manipulate, maybe your a stepping stone or shield I toss aside.... Or I'm just telling you not to be too trusting... " He had your back in the sick game.
Blood ran down his head, his face from four different areas. The impact could have killed him on the spot. He was left on his knees because of you.
"I'm ready to be merciless.... Are you?"

You knew you recognized him from somewhere else, and the knowledge he had seemed too specific. Too much of an edge among all of them.. You remembered the smile that gave you chills..
