I've just seen that my first Todoroki oneshot collection has now got over 100k views, and I can hardly believe it! That was my first book on Wattpad, and I remember being incredibly nervous about publishing it, thinking it'd do well to reach 1k views. Not only has that book reached such an important milestone, but this book has reached 5k views! And, my MHA Character X Reader Oneshots has reached over 20k! I'm so unbelievably overwhelmed, I've loved everyones support, votes, follows and kind comments. Thank you to all of my amazing readers, I love you all.

Anyway, on with the oneshot...

Quirk: Cat

- (y/n)'s POV -

Toru, Mina and I were at my house in my room, getting dressed into our kimonos ready for the traditional festival taking place near UA. We were in our second year of UA, and currently it was the summer holidays so it was nice and warm, but the silk of our kimonos was nice and cool. The festival was one the entire class was looking forward to, even Bakugou was intrigued but that was probably only because of Kirishima's enthusiasm. There were to be plenty of food stalls, games, photo opportunities and there was even supposed to be a ceremonial dance in the evening, followed by fireworks.

Carefully I wrapped the silk around my body securing the robe, then putting a flower in my hair. "You look beautiful (y/n)!" Toru squealed excitedly. "You trying to impress anyone?"

"Hm? No, not particularly," I admitted, shrugging. Both Toru and Mina sent at each other smirks. "What?"

"What about Todoroki?" The pair asked and I rolled my eyes. "What? He really does like you!"

"Maybe he does, maybe he doesn't. I'm not dressing up for anyone in particular," I enforced.

"Well even if you aren't dressing up for anyone, I'm certain he'll still think you look beautiful," Mina teased and I rolled my eyes.

"Girls, the festival starts in fifteen minutes! We better hurry up!" Toru suddenly exclaimed, holding her phone out and showing us the time. Quickly I collected everything I would need for the evening together, put it in a small woven cross-body bag, and the three of us headed out towards the festival. As we approached it we saw more and more people heading in the same direction, all of the girls having dressed up in sweet kimonos, all of the guys dressed smart-casual.

"Lets go find the class!" Toru said, grabbing both of our hands as we entered through the specifically made torii, towards the large festival.

- Todoroki's POV -

I was nervous. My crush was going to be here soon, dressed in an undoubtedly gorgeous kimono which would only make her even more beautiful. A nudge on my arm brought me back from my thoughts and I looked down to see Midoriya with one eyebrow raised. "What?"

"There's no need for you to be so nervous Todoroki," he said. "I'm sure she'll be here soon."

"That's not what I'm worried about," I admitted.

"Why, do you think she'll bring a date?" He asked and my stomach dropped. I hadn't even thought of that possibility.

"I didn't... until now," I admitted.

"Oh... sorry," Midoriya said awkwardly, rubbing the back of his head. He was the only person I had actually told of my crush on (y/n), but a fair few others in the class had figured it out as I apparently stared at her more then I should. "Well... are you going to try and ask her out tonight? It'd probably be a good place to do it."

"I don't know Midoriya, I don't think she'd accept me," I admitted. "I don't know anything about relationships."

"It will all come naturally, Todoroki," Iida joined the conversation, him being one of the people that had figured out my crush. I sighed, seriously contemplating it as I was scared that soon my crush on the cat-quirked girl was going to turn into love.

"I'll think about it... we'll see how tonight pans out I guess," I said and they nodded in agreement.

"Hey guys!" Ashido's loud voice sounded, and the members of the class that were already here turned to see her, Hagakure and (y/n) approaching. I didn't want to but I couldn't help it - I blushed as (y/n) approached us, her bright smile reflecting her always happy persona. Her kimono was black with a beautifully intricate red flower pattern. She looked absolutely flawless.

I physically shook my head to snap myself out of my daze as (y/n) approached us. I stiffened slightly, watching the wind blow her (h/c) hair. "Hi guys!"

"Hello (y/n), you look great!" Iida praised her.

"Aw thank you!"

"Y-yeah, you look really good," I complimented, slightly nervously, but Kirishima gave me a few bits of advice before we came to the festival, one of which was to compliment her at every chance I could.

"Thanks Todoroki, that's sweet," she smiled directly at me. It was only a few minutes later that then rest of the class showed, however we did end up splitting off into smaller groups whilst wondering around. I was walking with Midoriya, Iida, Uraraka and (y/n). Asui was with us to begin with, but she'd wandered off with Tokoyami and Shoji.

Subtly I tried to walk next to (y/n) at every given opportunity, to make sure no random guys would attempt to flirt with her. Even though I couldn't call her my girlfriend, I wanted to protect her from others. "So where shall we go first?" She beamed, clapping her hands together.

"Well I haven't eaten yet, I was waiting for the festival," Midoriya said.

"Yes! Lets go get some food, I could do with something too," (y/n) said and I couldn't help but smile at her. Together we walked over to the nearest food stall, me ordering cold soba. "That looks great, I'll have that too please!" (y/n) ordered excitedly. Just as she was about to reach for her purse, I stopped her.

"Here, let me," I said, putting my soba down on the counter and pulling out my wallet.

"Todoroki, you don't have to," she said but I insisted, handing the man the correct amount.

"I want to," I smiled. I caught Midoriya and Iida's eye, them both giving me a subtle thumbs up.

"Thank you Todo," she said, taking her soba. I blushed at this nickname she had suddenly given me, but she seemed completely unfazed as though that was what she had called me since we had met. "Ochaco, aren't you getting something?"

"O-oh, no, I have some food," she said sadly, pulling out a small sandwich from her bag. We all exchanged sad knowing looks, and Midoriya immediately stepped up to buy her some ramen before she had a chance to say no. She blushed madly when Midoriya handed it to her, and for a split second I wondered if that's what I looked like every time (y/n) spoke to me. Surely I didn't blush that much?

"I've been waiting for this festival for so long," (y/n) said next to me, as we were walking a few paces behind the rest of the group. "It feels like years since I last wore a kimono."

"That one really suits you, (y/n)," I complimented, offering a little smile too.

"Aw thanks Todo, you're too sweet," she blushed a little making me feel oddly proud inside. "Shall we go play some games?" She asked suddenly, pointing towards one of the stands.

"Yeah, sure-,"

"Guys, lets all go play!" She suddenly said to the other three, making me sigh. Together the five of us walked over to the stool which was simply a small round pond with little fish swimming in it. There were a few kids on the other side of the pond with a paper disc in one hand and a plastic bag in the other, scooping the fish up with the disc delicately so that the paper didn't break. Depending on how many fish is scooped up in a minute determines the size of the prize.

I had played this game a few times before, but was now desperate to impress (y/n). "Look! Oh I want that necklace, it's so cute!" (y/n) said, pointing to a delicate looking necklace with a red flower on it.

"That's so pretty, it'd go so well with your kimono!" Uraraka said. That was it, I was determined to win her that necklace.

"One go please," she said to the man, handing him the money and taking the disc and bag. Her minute started and I watched as she tried to scoop the fish but after thirty seconds, her disc broke.

"Sorry, that ain't enough for that necklace," the man shrugged and handed her a teddy bear. She still seemed happy with it, but I was determined to get her that necklace.

"Here," I said simply, handing the man the money and taking my own disc. My minute started and I concentrated hard, trying my best to ignore the intrigued stares around me. The four were peering over my shoulders as I continued to scoop the fish, not paying attention to how full my bag was getting. Thankfully my disc remained intact as my timer went on, and I pulled my bag of fish up making the group gasp.

"Todoroki! How did you do that?" Uraraka asked, apparently impressed.

"Well I've played this game a few times before," I shrugged.

"Wow, that's amazing Todo! You completely blew my total out of the park, you'll have to teach me how to properly play sometime!" (y/n) smiled and I gulped awkwardly.

"Here," the man running the stall suddenly said, handing me the necklace. "I assume this is what you wanted to give to your girlfriend."

My eyes widened as he gestured (y/n) next to me. The pair of us blushed as we glanced awkwardly at each other. "N-no! I mean, well, yes- but no! I mean... lets just go," I mumbled, taking the necklace from the man and walking off. I put my head in my hands out of embarrassment, trying quickly to compose myself before the four caught up with me. How could I let this girl affect me so much?

"Todoroki! Don't run off like that, we almost lost you!" Iida told me off but I rolled my eyes. (y/n) walked up behind him, blushing a little bit but still smiling.

"There - er - there was nothing I really wanted as a prize from that stall so I thought I might as well get you this," I said. 'Wow, romantic,' I scoffed sarcastically at myself as I handed her the jewellery. I caught Midoriya and Iida's raised eyebrows but I tried my best to just focus on (y/n).

"Thanks Todoroki," she said, turning around and moving her hair over her shoulder. "Could you put it on me please?"

"Yeah... okay," I mumbled, ignoring the groups stares as I lowered it over her head. I wrapped it gently around her neck, fastening the delicate necklace. Once I was done she turned around and let her hair fall back down to the sides of her face.

"How does it look?" She asked.

"Beautiful," I whispered but everyone heard me. I tried to keep a cool composure but I couldn't think of anything to say that'd make the situation less awkward.

"Yeah, it looks lovely (y/n)!" Iida suddenly said quickly, distracting her.

"Really suits your kimono!" Uraraka added, taking (y/n)'s arm and walking away with her, out of earshot.

"Wow, you seem more awkward then usual around her tonight," Midoriya laughed and I scowled.

"Are you finally going to admit your crush on her tonight?" Iida asked and I shrugged.

"Do you think I should?" I asked my two closest friends.

"You have a shot," Midoriya said as we looked back over at the girls.

"How would I... how would I go about it? What do I do?" I asked them carefully. They both looked at each other, apparently unsure. "Oh thanks, you two are great help," I said sarcastically. Just as Iida was about to speak the girls came back and interrupted us. I felt a warm hand suddenly wrap around mine and I looked to see (y/n) holding onto it. Quickly I looked up at her face, trying to fight the blush that was desperate to appear on my face.

"The ceremony is about to start! C'mon, let's go watch!" She said excitedly, tugging me along towards a large, delicately crafted stage. The others followed closely behind, but I was just focussed on (y/n) as I tried to grip onto her hand to hold it longer, hopefully throughout the entire ceremony, but she had managed to pull it away.

It was getting dark as the ceremonial dancers continued on the stage, and the clear night began to show its stars. The more I thought about it, the more I wanted to tell her today that I liked her as more then a friend and that I wanted her to be my girlfriend, I just had absolutely no clue how to do it. I barely watched the ceremony as I was deep in thought, scared as well that I would run out of time today. Then it clicked.

After the ceremony, there was due to be a firework display. I could take her up the grassy hill nearby which would not only give a great view of the firework display, but would also give us some privacy. I nodded in confidence, now trying to plan out what I was going to say to her.

The ceremony came to a close sooner then I had liked, as I had not yet fully planned how I was going to admit my feelings to her, but I knew I had to act. "(y/n)?"

"Yes Todo? What's up?" She asked sweetly once the clapping and praising of the dancers had died down.

"I've got a great place where we can view the fireworks from, if you like," I said, hopeful.

"Oh, great! Hey guys- whoa! Todoroki, what are you doing?" She asked as I had taken her hand before she had the opportunity to ask the others.

"Er- it'll just be nice to get away from the crowd a bit," I bluffed and she merely shrugged, still following me. She gripped onto my hand tighter making me jump slightly, and I turned back to see her smiling sweetly. I gulped as we continued on the path up the hill until we came to a decently sized grassy verge. "Here will do," I said, gulping as nerves overcame me.

"We're going to get such a good view of the fireworks from up here Todoroki, this is going to be so good!" She said excitedly, about to sit down but I stopped her.

"Wait... here," I laid my jacket down on the grass she was about to sit on. "I don't want you to get that kimono dirty."

"What about your jacket?" She asked.

"It's alright, don't worry about that," I sat down, gesturing that she do the same. She sat close to me, and I couldn't help but gulp. I still had no idea how to confess to her, do I do it now? Or after the fireworks? Or during?-

There was a weight on my shoulder and I realised quickly that she had rested her head against me. I was glad she couldn't see my face as it was fair to say I was blushing. I was trying desperately to steady my breathing when suddenly...

BANG

The fireworks began to start. Much to my disappointment she lifted her head away from me and stood up. I stood next to her, only watching her. I couldn't care less about the fireworks, as I could see the excitement and love in her sparkling eyes whilst she watched them. My heartbeat was getting faster and faster. I was trying to control myself but it had reached almost impossible lengths. My actions suddenly took over.

Without thinking, I took her hand catching her attention. As soon as she looked towards me, I stepped as close to her as I could get, then slammed my lips on hers. It was my first proper kiss, so I was trying to make it as perfect as possible, gently moving mine against hers. Thankfully after a moment she began kissing me back. She took charge a little bit as she wrapped her arms around me and gestured for me to do the same to her. We were up against each other for a while, my heartbeat feeling as loud as the fireworks.

When she pulled away we remained close, in each others embrace and just enjoying the sounds of the fireworks, and the bright colours that flashed over us. We glanced back up at them quickly, just in time to see the final firework explode.

We turned back to each other as the area around us that had previously been lit by the fireworks turned dark once again, this time only lit by the bright moon and stars. "Wow, Todoroki," she whispered, looking straight at me.

"I-I really like you, (y/n)..." I finally admitted it to her, plain and simple. Thankfully she smiled brightly, a slight pink tint coming to her cheeks.

"I had my suspicions," she teased.

"Will you... be my girlfriend?" I asked carefully, and she leant up and kissed me again, this time taking me by surprise. Immediately I kissed back, cupping her soft cheeks, this kiss feeling even better then the first.

"Yes Todo, of course I'll be your girlfriend," she breathed as we pulled away again. We both laughed a little in happiness, and decided to stay up the hill for a while just to have some alone time, preferring it to the busy crowds of the festival.

"Oh look, here they are!" Midoriya shouted as (y/n) and I approached the now congregated class by the torii.

"Oh my god!" Ashido suddenly bounced off of the bench she was sitting on, pointing dramatically at (y/n) and my interlocked hands.

"So you finally did it?" Kirishima asked openly.

"About bloody time," Bakugou scoffed.

"Yay! Oh I'm so happy for you too!" Uraraka squealed, clapping her hands together. Everyone started to get overly excited at the fact that (y/n) and I were together, but I didn't care. I was definitely the happiest out of everyone there.
