The Ninja find Dr. Julien on the Endless Sea's shore.
"What was that sound? The horns?" Julien questioned
"The Celestial Clock has reached zero. Garmadon's ultimate weapon is now operational and the Final Battle between good and evil has all but begun" Wu replied
"Now Lloyd must face his father" Misako said
"But where's Nya?" Julian asked
"She's been taken by the Overlord, but we'll get her back. At the moment, there are bigger things at stake, including all of Ninjago itself" Wu answered "Lloyd, your focus gives strength to invoking the power of the Golden Dragon. You cannot lose faith now. Everything rests on your shoulders."
"But Sensei, you saw what happened when I tried to face my father. I-I froze. I can't fight him" Lloyd said sadly
"You must. It is written in the scrolls" Wu insisted
"Remember, your father is just as scared" Misako reminded him
Wu nodded "Then the battle will be decided by who is willing to fight"
"What's written in the scrolls is that the green and purple ninja fight together" Lloyd argued
"Have faith in Aria" Wu tells him "she will come"
"she's your best friend after all" Misako smiles "has she ever left you?"
Lloyd shakes his head "no"
"then you have no reason to doubt her" Wu walks forward "she will be there when you need her most"
"You're right, I have never doubted her" Lloyd smiles "thanks sensei"

"Papa!" Aria shouts in the forest, she runs to the shore where Garmatron and the army is "papa!"
"Aria"
Aria looks up to see Garmadon and her "dark energy ball" father on top of the weapon
"Papa" Aria quickly climbed up onto the weapon and Garmadon stood defensively "papa, you need to stop"
"Why" the overlord growled "we're so close.. to taking back what is ours"
"I don't think this is what mama would've wanted" Aria said, she took a queen's crown out of her bag and showed it to him "this is mama's right?"
"yes that is your mother's" the overlord replied "but you wouldn't know what your mother would've wanted, she wanted revenge, for the very people that took her in when she was young"
"But their would be other people suffering that don't even deserve it.. do you not care for them at all?" Aria asks
"Growing up with those ninja have made you weak!" the Overlord studently shouts in anger
"papa I-"
"grab her!" the Overlord shouts
"no!" Aria shouts as some warriors grab her "papa listen to me please"
"It's time" the Overlord announces
Garmadon laughs "Yes. Load the cannon. Finally, my darkest dream will now become reality" He is about to push the button
"Father, don't!" they hear Lloyd shout
Lloyd, Misako, and Wu ran out of the forest and stopped before the weapon.
"Lloyd!" Garmadon shouts
"What are you doing? Push the button!" The Overlord orders
"So, the balance has sent my son, my brother, and my wife to try to stop me? It looks like my little surprise has kept the Ninja busy" Garmadon says
"Don't do it. If you alter the balance, it will allow the Overlord to cross over" Misako pleaded
"I don't want to fight you but I will if I have to. This is about more than just us. This is about what is right" Lloyd said
"Don't you see? I will never do what's right. The evil in my blood can never go away. It has corrupted every ounce of my fiber, every bone in my body. I am Lord Garmadon. Destiny took my family from me, and the only way for us to be together is to turn everything in this world into my image. Then you'll all see what I see, feel what I feel!" Garmadon shouted
"It is not too late" Misako said
"You've made your decision, and I have made mine" Garmadon pushes the button.
The computer came on "Garmatron warming up. In T-minus 20...19...18...17..."
"how anticlimactic" Aria comments
"Warming up? You could've warned me it had to warm up!" Garmadon shouted
"How could I? You were monologuing" The Overlord said annoyed and Aria laughs
"for someone being held against your will you seem pretty entertained" Garmadon says to Aria and she shrugs
"...it's just not me.. to be like that" Aria mumbles
"We have to get to the top and shut it off" Lloyd says to the others
"Stop them!" Garmadon shouted
Misako blocked the Garmatron's blasters "Go!"
"...11...10...9...8 ...7..."
Lloyd climbs up the Garmatron.
"...6...5...4...3..."
Kozu pinned down Lloyd "Got you!"
"Lloyd!" Aria shouts
"...2...1." Garmatron fires a capsule of Dark matter.
"No!" Misako shouted
"We're losing" Lloyd cried
"Again!" the Overlord shouts
"Papa stop!" Aria shouts
"The balance is shifting" Misako said
"Lloyd, you must focus and put a stop to this!" Wu shouts
Lloyd tries to destroy the Garmatron with his Energy, but Garmadon ejects him out
"You think you can stop me!?" Garmadon launches another missile.
"Our worst fears" Wu says sadly
The Overlord laughs.
"I tried" Lloyd said sadly as Wu helps him up
"It is done. The balance has shifted" Misako said
"My old friend, you've helped offset the balance" he Overlord laughs "Because of you, I can now cross over into your world. I'm finally free once again!"
Garmadon screams as a beam of light hits him. The ninja arrive
"Sorry we're late. Did we miss much?" Jay looks at Garmadon "Holy unholy"
Garmadon sees his hands turn into claws "What is happening to me?"
"Are you scared? I'm scared" Jay says
The Overlord possesses Garmadon. Lord Garmadon's hands morph into claws, his limbs lengthen, and the demented laughter of the Overlord issues from his newly-reptilian mouth.
"Unlike your father, the Overlord will show you no mercy Lloyd" Wu says
The Overlord laughs
"papa no" Aria says sadly
"aren't you happily dear" the overlord rubs her head "you don't need to be scared, I'd never hurt my darling daughter"
"Let's do this" Lloyd says
"Now we need more evil, but where to attack next? Ninjago City" the Overlord says
Wu and Misako attacks the Warriors before they reload the cannon. Jay hits the Dark Matter toward the Endless Sea. Kai knocks out a Stone Scout and takes control of its blasters
Lloyd jumps up onto the Garmatron "This ends now!" He blasts his Energy at the stone warriors holding Aria then he blasts it at the Overlord
The Overlord knocks Lloyd off of the tank.
"Lloyd!" Aria shouts
"you're my daughter don't defend him" the Overlord growls
"papa stop, I don't want you to hurt him" Aria said putting her hands in front of her
"don't tell me you're going to fight too" the Overlord says
Aria breathed out "...I will if I have to.. I won't let you hurt Lloyd"
"you wouldn't hurt your father" the Overlord crosses his arms
"I'm not a kid anymore" Aria says
"You're always going to be my little girl" the Overlord tells her
"Well papa.. I'm sorry" Aria blasts him with fire and he falls off of the Garmatron
Aria jumped off, her and Lloyd stood besides each other and faced the Overlord. The battle continues on the beach, Lloyd and him briefly clashing with energy beams before Lloyd dodges and blasts his foe into the jungle.
"Nice shot" Aria cheered
The Overlord quickly recovers and flies above the trees, delivering a brutal tackle that sends Lloyd flying.
"geez dad if you're going to hit him hit me too!" Aria shouts
"I already told you I wouldn't do that!" the overlord shouts back
"Aria don't be a masochist!" Lloyd shouts from the ground
"I'm not!" Aria shouts at him
"...what kind of battle is this?" Jay questions turning to the others
"oh god" Wu covers his face
Aria sends fire blasts at her father and he dodges. Lloyd quickly joins her and fights with his energy beams.
"The battle for good and evil. I can do this for eternity, but can you? Your friends can't help you now. You are all alone" The Overlord gloats
"No, I'm not. My father is still in you. He will fight with me" Lloyd declares
Lord Garmadon briefly asserts himself from within the Overlord, begging Lloyd to stay strong—the Overlord's confusion and shock gives Lloyd an opportunity to take the offensive. They clash with their energy beams once more.
"Father! Fight him!" Lloyd shouted
"Your father is...gone!" the Overlord overpowers Lloyd and throws him.
"Lloyd!" Aria shouted
"My son!" Misako shouted
Wu and Misako run to Lloyd
The Overlord laughs while pointing the cannon at him "You were always so...green"
"Papa don't!" Aria shouts
The Overlord pushes the button that sends a rocket at Lloyd, but the Bounty defended him. Julien jumps off before the Dark Matter can affect him, destroying the Bounty.
The Overlord growls as he reloads the cannon "This time I won't miss" He pushes the button. Aria quickly stood in front of Lloyd and took the hit.
"Aria!" The Overlord shouted worried
Aria just stood up "...nothing's happening"
"well duh!" the Overlord shouts "you're my daughter! You're already evil!"
"I am not!" Aria shouts back
"you have dark powers so the dark matter doesn't work on you!" the Overlord shouts
"how useful" Aria mumbles
The Overlord growls "Enough! We don't need to waste our time with their pestering. We'll go to Ninjago City to finish this once and for all!" He makes a portal to Ninjago City.
"If they leave, that means we'll be stuck here with no way to get back! Get to the vortex, now!" Kai shouted, he jumps, but the portal disappears "Noooo!"
Lloyd opened his eyes and sat up "...did we win?"
"No, not at all" Aria replies
"But you're alive" Wu says
"But the prophecy..." Lloyd falls when he tries to walk.
"Easy, kid. You've been through a lot" Jay said helping him stand
"My leg" Lloyd said looking down "..did we lose the Final Battle?"
"What's important is, we didn't lose you" Wu said
"But... we lost" Lloyd said sadly
"No" Aria stood in front of them, they all gasped at her glowing purple eyes "Destiny showed us who was stronger today. But destiny also wanted us around to fight another day. We didn't lose the battle. Today, we just lost the fight"
