At Dareth's dojo, the Ninja are training Lloyd who is trying to light a light bulb with his Lightning. He grunts as Jay passes him.
"Focus, Lloyd. Control the power inside you. When you feel a surge welling up, harness it" Jay instructs
"I understand. I am in control" Lloyd groans
"Come on, Lloyd. You can do it" Jay encouraged
Lloyd breaks the bulb "Aah! Stupid light bulb! You're putting too much pressure on me. Let me have one more try"
"Ugh, sorry, Lloyd. That was the last light bulb" Kai tells him
Cole hands him a broom "Clean up, Lloyd. We'll continue your training tomorrow, it's Aria's turn"
Lloyd uses the broom to punch a punching bag.
Jay sighs "What am I doing wrong, Sensei Wu? I can't seem to teach him to control his power"
Lloyd's broom hits him on the head "You dare to defy the Green Ninja!?
"Patience, Jay. Sometimes, the greatest opponent we face is ourselves, and that's especially true of Lloyd. Remember where he came from. He's the son of Lord Garmadon. It's going to take time for him to embrace the light" Wu says "Now it's time to for Aria's training"
Aria walked in wearing her gi "Alright I'm here"
Wu sat on a chair and sipped his tea
"So Lloyd was working on lightning but Wu wants us to teach you fire first" Kai tells Aria
"Alright" she replies
"so fire is a tricky element, if it's not handled right it can become destructive and hurt a lot of people" Kai explained "so to harness fire think of power, heat-"
"Things like that might work for you and Lloyd Kai, but not Aria" Wu interrupts "Aria your powers come from your father, so to harness your powers you need to think about the power you hold yourself, not Lloyd or Kai's powers.
"...so destruction?" Aria questions
"yes, so to harness your fire power and to create fire, you need to think of fire's destructive properties, the mass chaos and panic it can cause, the ability to destroy" Wu instructed
Aria held her palm out and closed her eyes slowly a small purple flame appeared in her palm, Aria opened one of her eyes before opening the other and looked at it in shock "I... I did it"
"...yeah" Kai stared at her surprised
Aria closed her palm and opened it again, the flame extinguishing.
"Looks like your training is paying off" Jay says ruffling her hair
"y-yeah I guess it's not that bad" Aria crossed her arms, the ninja rolled their eyes and smiled at her
Nya enters the room "Hey guys"
"Hey Nya!" the ninja greeted
"Hey, Jay. Uh, wanna come by the auto body shop later?" Nya asks
"Uh, the auto body shop?" Jay questions
"Yeah. I got a part-time job. Though I could fix up the Ultra Sonic Raider in my off time. Maybe if you come over, I can show you what I've been working on." Nya replies
"Uh, sure, heh" Jay notices Nya is holding a letter "Uh, what you got there?"
"Oh, um, this letter came for Lloyd" she hands it to Wu
Wu takes out the letter and reads it "Hmm. It's from Lloyd and Aria's old school"
"The Darkley School for Bad Kids?" Cole asks
"Formerly bad boys. Since the last time we were there, they've changed to the Darkley School for Great Children" Wu tells them
"No way" Aria says in disbelief
"Heh, wait. They've turned good?" Kai questions
"Hmm, it says here there's going to be a ceremony" Wu says
"I love ceremonies. That means there's going to be cake" Cole says happily
"is that all you think of?" Aria asks
"not just cake, but chocolate cake" Cole says happily rubbing his stomach
"Lloyd's change inspired them. Now they've invited Lloyd to give him an honorary degree in excellence" Wu says
Lloyd breaks the broom and headbutts the punching bag.
"Are we sure we're talking about the same Lloyd?" Kai asks

The Ninja are flying their way toward the school with Lloyd steering.
"Whoo-hoo-hoo! Now that we can ride the Dragon, we should get to Darkley's in no time" Jay cheered
"If Lloyd can get us there in one piece" Kai says worridly
Cole looked over "Just be gentle. Any sudden moves can cause him to—"
"Any sudden what?" Lloyd pulls on the reins
The Ninja scream as the Dragon dives.
"Let go! Let go of the reins!" Aria shouts
Lloyd does so and they finally land on the ground.
"Hehe. At least I'm getting better" Lloyd says
"All the same, Aria's going to take the reins going home. Just to be safe" Cole says
"I'm going to what?" Aria asks walking over
"take the reins going home" Lloyd repeated for Cole
The 4nninja stared at the two kids
"what?" Lloyd asks
"What's with your clothes?" Kai asks
"why do they appear to match?" Zane questions
Lloyd and Aria look at each other
"I don't see it" Lloyd said
"me neither" Aria agreed
"Lloyd? Aria?"
The two looked over to see a boy, one of their old schoolmates, Brad.
"Uh, Brad?" Lloyd asks
"You came! So good to see you" Brad says running over and shaking Lloyd's hand
"It is?" Lloyd questions confused "You helped Aria put fire ants in my bed"
Aria hid a laugh and Lloyd gave her a look.
"Please forgive me. I wasn't myself and have learned the error of my ways" Brad looks at the Ninja "And you must be the Ninja!"
"Guys meet Brad Tudabone" Aria introduced
"Such a huge fan!" Brad shakes their hands "Go good! Haha. Uh, please, will you follow me to see the Principal"
Brad let the ninja through the halls of the school. Aria and Lloyd looked around remembering the time they spent there. Aria stopped in front of a room that had beds in it with a single window. Lloyd noticed and went over to her, he looked in and the same memory popped into the two kids head.
The memory of the many times the two friends have stood at the window just staring at the outside world, wondering if they'd ever get out. Lloyd reached over and held Aria's hand.
"Come on" Lloyd pulled Aria away from the room and followed the group
Cole realizes the classrooms are empty "Uh, shouldn't you all be in class?"
"Actually, today is a new Darkley School tradition: Ninja Day. We stay out of sight to honor the way of the Ninja for showing us the light" Brad explains
"Huh, this is a good school. I'm impressed" Cole smiled
"Hey what's this?" Kai asks noticing some pictures on the wall of different kids
"That's some pictures of the kids that go here" Brad tells him
"Hey I think this is Lloyd and Aria" Jay says pointing at a picture
"it is" Zane clarifies
"yeah, me and Aria were always together after we became friends" Lloyd said "I honestly don't know if I would've been able to escape without her"
"well I wouldn't be here with the ninja right now if it wasn't for you" Aria said nudging Lloyd's shoulder and Lloyd smiles
Brad goes over and knocks on the Principal's door "Principal Noble? Lloyd, Aria, and the Ninja are here for the ceremony"
"I'll be with you in just a moment"
"I should get back to the flowers" Brad said before running away
"Um, heh, has anyone seen a teacher yet?" Jay questions
"Indeed, their absence is most strange" Zane adds
"I'll see you now. Come in, come in" they hear the principal say
The Ninja walk in, but "Noble" is revealed to be a boy
"Welcome back, Lloyd" the boy says "Hello Aria"
"Uh, Gene?" Lloyd says confused
"oh no" Aria says
"And welcome, Ninja, to the new Darkley's School for Worse Boys!" Gene cuts a rope, which dropped sandbags to knock the Ninja unconscious.

Lloyd wakes up tied up in a chair, he sees Aria sitting on a stool talking to the other boys.
"he's awake" Aria says pointing to Lloyd
"Welcome to your ceremony, Lloyd. Or, should I call it an evil intervention?" Brad says
"Where are my friends?" Lloyd asks
Gene laughed "Aw, they're better off without you. With friends like you, who needs enemies?"
"You may have forgotten, but we're your true friends. And we want to help you undo the damage you've done to yourself and our school's reputation. Be honest. Doesn't a part of you miss being bad?" Brad questions
"No" Lloyd replies immediately "Aria don't just sit there, help me!"
"Sorry Lloydie, but I'm with the boys on this" Aria crossed her legs "yes training was going great but we're evil Lloyd, we always have and always will be. I don't belong with the ninja, being an outcas"
Lloyd laughs "Haha. Come on, you can untie me. Really, you're right, this is just a huge relief. I couldn't stand being good. Ha. Thank you for saving me"
"How do we know you're not lying to us just to escape and help the Ninja?" Brad asks
"Well, if I am truly good, I wouldn't be able to lie, which I'm not, but even if I was, wouldn't lying make me evil, thus giving you assurance that you could release me?" Lloyd questions
"No" Aria replies while the boys looked confused "ninja are clever"
They heard a lot of noise coming from the hallway
"Someone's coming" Brad looks through the window and gasps "The Ninja escaped! Execute Doomsday formations!"
The boys all ran out while Aria stayed in the room with Lloyd.
"Why do you want so badly to be like your father!?" Lloyd asks angrily "does hurting people make you happy?!"
"O-Of course not" Aria replies surprised by Lloyd's outburst
"These past few weeks the ninja have been nothing but nice to us!" Lloyd shouts "They put up with your attitude and train us to be the best we can! They treat us like their family!"
"I have a family!" Aria argues "My father-"
"Your father abandoned you when you were a kid!" Lloyd shouted and Aria's eyes filled with tears
"My father-"
"Aria I'm sorry for yelling at you, but your father abandoned you. I know you think that if you become evil like him your father will acknowledge you and love you, but he won't" Lloyd says sadly "you don't even remember him, all you have is your dark powers so you know he's evil. But is this what your mother would've wanted for you! She died so you could live, but not like this, not to hurt people"
Aria closed her eyes and started crying. Lloyd sighs sadly, he looks up and sees a light bulb. He breaks the bulb with his Lightning. He falls over and uses the shards to cut the ropes.
Lloyd walks over to Aria and hugs her "I'm right here like I always am, I'll lead you down the right path, we'll do it together"
"thank you Lloyd" Aria hugged him back "I'm sorry, for being a brat"
The other boys run back into the room and the two look at them.
"your friends are pure evil" Gene tells them as they board up the door
"What?" Lloyd and Aria ask confused
Lloyd and the students go to the door and look out to see the ninja and their doubles fighting each other.
"See, I told you my friends wouldn't turn evil. The evil Ninja must be my father's doing" Lloyd explains
"Fascinating. It's like fighting a mirror where the reflection countermoves in perfect sync and no one appears to be able to land a blow" Gene says
"We have to help them" Lloyd says
"Just to be clear, which "them?"" Gene asks suspiciously
"Uh, my friends, of course" Lloyd says and Aria hits him "Uh, I mean uh, the evil Ninja. Mwahahahaha!" Lloyd gets tied up again "Ugh. Ugh. I am Lloyd Garmadon, evil son of the super evil Lord Garmadon, and I demand you release me! Mwahahahaha!"
"You sound rediculous" Aria comments
"how come your not tied up?" Lloyd asks
"because I'm more convincing then you" Aria replies and walks over to the boys "Listen up boys, when positive energy connects with negative energy they cancel each other out, but if an evil Ninja manages to connect a single blow against his opposite, that same spark should be so powerful as to eradicate the good Ninja or vice versa"
"Okay, good enough for me" Brad says
Lloyd sighs "Ugh, alright you win" everyone looks at him "I'm good. But guess what? So is Brad"
"well shit" Aria comments
Brad gulps "That's a lie!"
"Is it? Then explain why on the day we first met you were nice to me. When I arrived here on my first day, I didn't know how things worked around here and everyone made fun of me. Aria and Brad even put fire ants in my bed" Lloyd says
"Hehehe. Yeah, I remember that. That was evil" Gene laughs
"But when everyone was gone, Aria came over and said her and Brad were just trying to teach me how things go. And after that, Brad took me under his wing, and together him and Aria taught me the art of revenge" Lloyd explains
"Why would you do that?" Gene asks
"I wanted to get in good with his father" Brad answers
"I just wanted to play pranks" Aria replies
Lloyd shook his head "No. It's because deep down, they're not all evil. Aria's now a ninja in training and Brad's not the only one of you that can be good. Face it, all of you have a secret good side that stays quiet out of fear, because it thinks it's alone, but it's not. And I'm living proof. So, who's with me?"
Brad sighs "It's true. And I love planting flowers"
"You what!?" Gene shouts
"Also, the Ninja saved my life. A kindness I plan to return" Brad unties Lloyd and the students surround him
"this little boy has a way with words" Aria says walking over next to Lloyd
"Aw, my dad is gonna be so mad" Gene complains
"Yeah, join the club. Now then, Aria what's the plan?" Lloyd asks
"how dare you just assume that i have a plan" Aria crosses her arms and Lloyd stares at her "...yeah I have a plan"
The students all make Ninja gi eather red, blue, white, or back and suit up. Lloyd and Aria wear their green and purple one.
"Ninja, go!" Lloyd shouts and they all run out
"Ninja, go!" all the students shout and start trying to help by confusing the ninja
Zane destroys his counterpart with Spinjitzu.
"It works just like Aria says. If you can land a punch, they'll be defeated!" Lloyd shouts happily
"of course it works" Aria says from next to him
Bizarro Cole is knocked back and Cole punches him "Good riddance!"
"Don't think you can get rid of us that easily. By the way, did I mention that I kissed Nya?" Bizarro Jay taunts Jay
"What!!? You did what!?" Jay shouts
Bizarro Jay laughed "Hahaha. Yeah"
Jay jumps behind him and kicks him "Heh. Nobody kisses my girl"
"maybe Jay would be a better ninja if all our enemies kisses Nya" Aria suggests
"Hey!" Jay shouts
Bizarro Kai was getting confused by all the kids"Ugh. Stay back!" he gets smoke bombed in the eye" Aw, my eyes! I can't see!"
Kai punches him "Ain't so bad"
The students cheer.
"It worked, Lloyd! You did it!" Brad says
"uh actually i did it, it was my plan" Aria intervenes
"No, we did it" Lloyd corrects her
"...whatever" Aria gives up
The students cheer again as the teachers come out of the wall.
"Normally, we'd punish you for holding us captive, but I guess now that we've all learned a valuable lesson, I suppose it's cause for a celebration" Principal Noble tells them
"Uh, that wouldn't mean cake, now, would it?" Cole asks
Everyone laughs. After the celebration, the Ninja are headed to the Dojo with Cole flying the Ultra Dragon eating cake and everyone else was in the Raider.
"Oh, man. So great the have the tank back" Jay says
"Can't wait to hear what Sensei says when he hears about this" Kai adds then ruffles Aria's hair "you were a good ninja today, you make a lot of stupid comments but you're good at plans"
"Thank you Kai" Aria smiles "I'll work really hard from now on"
"Does Aria have a personality switch?" Zane asks
Aria blushes in embarrassment "I don't!...I just don't think evil suits me anymore"
"heh what do you know, the kid's growing up" Jay comments
"shut it" Aria crossed her arms and Lloyd laughs
Garmadon appears on screen "So, it is true. You have destroyed my evil Ninja."
Kai narrows his eyes "Keep it coming, Garmadon. Your attempts to stop us are only making us stronger"
Garmadon sighs "But tomorrow is a new day, Ninja. Mark my words, I will find new ways to finish you, once and for al—" The screen malfunctions
"Nya will be displeased. She just repaired it and it appears it already has to go back to the shop" Zane says
"Nah, it's not broken" Electricity surges down Lloyd's arms and he switches the screen to a video game.
"You did that?" Jay asks "But it didn't blow up"
Lloyd grabs a game controller "Hey, you go to school, and sometimes you might pick up a thing or two" he nudges Aria and she smiles
The Ninja laugh as Lloyd plays his game. Aria looks back at the school.
Lloyd places his hand on Aria's shoulder "let our past stay behind us, and let's move towards the future, together as ninja"
Aria smiles "right, we're ninja now"
The ninja all smile as they head home, Aria was finally ready to be committed to her ninja training and become the purple ninja.
