High School students also went crazy upon seeing two handsome men be announcing an engagement. It went viral and it also reached the foreign investors of both companies. It was huge. Taehyung laughed as he scrolled through his phone, enjoying the attention that the whole country had laid upon him. His face is widely spread across the whole country and even on international news and reports.
"Damn~" he sang to himself. "Right right... This is what a man like me deserves. To be known to the world" He said and giggled again. "Oh? Can you believe it? He even entered the same college as me! Why have I never seen him?" He asked with a flirtatious giggle.
"How would I know? We got int different colleges, remember?" he asked and rolled his eyes as well. He sighed once more. This whole situation is absurd! Plus, Taehyung, his dear bestfriend, doesn't even seem to be worried at all! "Tae aren't you afraid that your father would get mad at you?" Jimin asked worried and only earned an eye-roll from the other who didn't pull his eyes away from the phone he's holding.
"Tae! Aren't you gonna take this seriously!?" he exclaimed when the boy did not even look at him. Taehyung looked at him, slowly pulling his eyes away from his phone. "Taehyung-ah, seriously. Marriage isn't so much of a simple thing. You should think before you do something, especially 'that' kind of something..." He said worriedly.
"Daddy would not get mad! Okay? Chill, Chim!!" he exclaimed as well. He smiled again and continued to scroll, looking back at his phone. "Oh my god! Look!! He's freaking hot!" He said and showed him a picture of Jeongguk which he just saw on the articles.
"Tae! Are you seriously gonn--" Jimin was cut when the mansion's door swung open, releasing an angry man. Eyes red and sharp with anger. Indeed, Jimin was scared. He had never seen the kind man being this angry, especially towards Taehyung.
"Kim Taehyung!! Look at what you have done!" he shouted with his veins almost popping on his neck. Taehyung flinched and his eyes are wide with shock.
It's... the first time.
It's the first time that his father had shouted at him like this. It is the first time that he got so angry as if he's not giving any mercy. And Taehyung? He's afraid and very very frightened. "D-dad--"
"You will have a conference tomorrow and you will say that it was a mistake! You were just drunk and was out of your right mind. You will say that everything was false because you're marrying Mr. Park's daughter!" He shouted, very very VERY aggravated. With that Taehyung stood up.
"What!?! NO!! I won't marry that--"
"That what!? You don't get to use your car nor your card until you do it!!"
"Da--"
"Don't call me that until you fix this chaos up!! Our investors are calling me and they are very frantic! I am telling you Kim Taehyung, fix this, do the conference or throw your surname!! If you care for me, you will do it!" He shouted, loud and clear and exasperated.
And Taehyung's eyes did not take another minute to tear up as he watched his father leave the house once more. What had hurt more was the fact that his father had not even spared him a single glance of pity nor care.
"Oh my god, Tae! I--" Jimin went to him immediately and hugged him.
"H-He-- He--" Taehyung stuttered and started to cry miserably. All his emotions are a mix of shock and misery. He did not expect that his father would be this angry. All those years his father had not even scolded him. He had been that simple loving father. Understanding him in any way possible and now... Taehyung only felt like he was not loved at all.
He leaned against Jimin's chest, hugging him as he cried harder. "God, Jimin... I d-d-don't k-know what to. D-dad... D-dad d-d-doesn't l-l-love me anymore!"
"Tae... Please... Just follow your Dad. It's for you and your company. B-Besides, s-she's a nice l-lady..." Jimin said and sighed as he rubbed his friend's back.
Taehyung fell silent. All he could do was sob and cry. And nod at his friend's words.
And yes, it is the day.
Today is the schedule of the press conference that Taehyung is forced to do. After he told his father that he will do it, his father still did not give him the same treatment as before and he hated it. And somehow, he felt like he would need a knight in shining armor to save him from this. But of course, that would not exist. All his prince-charming wanna be were already dumped and are away, moving on.
He couldn't rely on someone right now.
He had met the lady a few days ago. She's decent and has a kind smile. She's pretty and goes by the name of Park Hyebin. Taehyung talked to her in private and he was ready to scowl but she turned out to be more likable than what he had expected.
"Hey..." He remembered how she whispered and called him to come over that day. "Why are you here!? I thought you're engaged with the Jeon Kid!?" She was like a kid who's about to throw a tantrum. And Taehyung could not help but think that she's cute.
If only he's straight.
And so they got somehow close after the first 'date' they had which is like a refresher to Taehyung. He had been upset about his father and Hyebin, totally had the same story. Same feelings. They went out for shopping, picking nice clothes fr each other and all that stuff. Like some girl bestfriends. That was fun, honestly.
"Hey..." He heard her whisper again, and it's an actual thing. "Just a year... Right?"
"Yeah. We just have to let them see that we're not compatible which is really really true. Like, duh, gurl?" Taehyung bent his voice and Hyebin could not help but laugh and hit his arm.
"Ahahaha-- ah sorry. I just--"
"It's fine. You're not the only 'girl' friend I had... All of you are like that," he said and laughed making the other laugh as well.
The door opened and cut their conversation. "Sorry, but you have to stand by. The conference is starting in two minutes." A staff said and there goes Taehyung's heart. It beats fast both out of guilt for dragging Hyebin into this and from fright that this is really the end of his fabulous life.
'Damn. This is the start of my miserable life.' That's what he's thinking.
They went to the stand by area and listened as the conference is being introduced. "And to answer our questions, Mr. Kim and Ms. Park are here. Please, welcome..."
They walked in and each step felt so heavy for Taehyung. It was all scary and terrifying. Taehyung looked over at her and took her hand, making her hook her arms on his own. Duh. Etiquettes. Cameras and whispers went around the hall and everyone went talkative. Soon enough, Taehyung and Hyebin are already in front and they both bowed.
Taehyung took the platform and looked at everyone. He has never felt this feeling of hate to be in front of everyone before this and he felt like he would hate it for the rest of his life now.
"Good morning to everyone. I would go straight into the main reason why you are all here. Last Friday, booming news shocked all of you. It is about me and Mr. Jeon Jeongguk, who are said to be engaged. And the one who announced it was I, myself."
Everyone was looking and taking notes and listening to every single thing he says, same as those men inside one of the rooms in this building.
"I would like to call the attention of everyone concerned and please listen carefully. The gala-night made a big turn in my life based on what is happening right now..." He said and inhaled as he looked at the woman behind him. She had an expression which made Taehyung feel even more guilty. He actually dragged this girl into this. He sighed and looked in front again before gulping.
"I and Jeon Jeongguk's engagement..."
His heart was beating so fast and he even felt like he couldn't do it. He couldn't breathe. The things that would happen after this will all be shameful and miserable. This is so not good.
"I and Jeon's engagement is not--"
He was stopped when the door opened loudly and there came his unexpected 'Knight in Shining Suit'. His hair is styled differently but he walks as powerful as that night. He went his way to the stage, all gorgeous and strong. He held much authority and much much strength and all Taehyung could do was stare in such great awe. He looked so good.
His long hair is parted at the right side. The right part is flatly styled to the side making it look like it is shaved there because of so much neatness. The left side, which had more hair, were pushed up but the ends were turned down, falling with such beautiful curl. His forehead is on a full view and Taehyung could not miss the strong eyebrows and his sharp eyes. Fuck he's so hot. His suit is very very very clean and he looked so presentable.
His eyes went even larger when he realized that he's going up the stage and the next thing he knew was Jeongguk's arm around his lower waist and a kind smile directed to the audience. His arms are so strong that Taehyung felt like he could go limp and he would not need to exert a bigger effort to lift him.
"Sorry, I am late,"

Taehyung freaking felt like he missed it when he only heard it for the first time that night. He's sooooo near and Taehyung felt his heart racing. Could almost feel his breath. His warmth. All of it sent shivers, all beautiful shivers down his spine and he was daydreaming.
"As you all can see, my fiance is nervous for he didn't like stuff like these,"
Damn damn damn! He called Taehyung as his fiance! In front of this whole mass of people! How can he do that!? But Taehyung felt like he felt deaf for all he could hear was his heartbeat and the repeated voice at the back of his mind.

What the actual heck!? Taehyung never did expect that something like that would make him feel like he's gonna explode. His face all red, looking at Jeongguk who was still talking on the microphone like some expert. Of course, a man with integrity must!
"To complete this conference, I would like to announce that I and Kim Taehyung's wedding will be on the 10th of next month. We will have a private wedding and would like to keep a private life. Thank you for your interest."
Taehyung did fell deaf for all he heard was that one word. Wedding.
'W-what?' Taehyung's mind screamed. 'W-wedding!?'
