The room was silent and everyone was still in shock about the announcement that was bluntly made.
"Wait wait wait." Monae said chuckling.
"Chile you sure you're pregnant?"
"Thats what my doctor Mrs. Jones told me!" Christine said.
"Oh, this is too much." Ashley said.
Amber was shocked that what her mom told her was actually true, even though she didn't fully spill the details this news was way more surprising.
Amber wanted to stay, but she felt like she had to leave because this was a family matter. She scheduled for her an uber to come pick her up.
"Hey Ash could you come here?" Amber whispered.
Amber could feel Dave eyeing her and she wasn't trying to make eye contact and create a awkward moment.
Ashley walked over to Amber.
"Hey, I called an uber I don't think its my place to be here." Amber told Ashley.
"Girl, you shouldn't have did that. Shit you know everything now." Ashley said to Amber.
"I know I just feel a lil awkward being here." Amber said.
"Girl cancel that uber, Kiyah gone take yo ass home you good girl." Ashley said.
Amber nodded her head as an ok. She canceled her uber like Ash suggested, but she still didn't feel right.
"Well, there's the big news!" Dave said sighing pulling the ultrasound photos from his back pocket.
Dave gave the photos to his mom for her and his dad to look at together. Dave sat next to them as they were in awe that this was their first grandchild. You would've expected Kev to have the baby first since he's married and all.
Everybody but Amber hovered over Monica & Kevin Sr.
"Congratulations lil bro." Kev said to Dave.
"Thanks big bro, hopefully you and Nae next." Dave replied chuckling.
"Oh nooo not right now D. I gotta keep this body as young as possible." Monae said.
"Yeah, aight." Kev said.
7:58 p.m
Dave's POV
Everyone had left my mom and pops crib. The car was silent per usual as I was headed to take Christine home. She wasn't even that big and she was rubbing her stomach, just fucking delusional.
As I was riding I just couldn't forget the way Amber was looking once she found out the news. I noticed she didn't look my way at all, and that kind of fucked with a nigga heavy, but after all this is my fault.
I pulled up to Christine's mom drive-way. She looked over at me and leaned towards me to kiss me. I blocked her ass with the quickness.
"What the hell you think you doing Christine?" I said with a mug.
"I know you miss me Dave. I know HE miss me too." She said rubbing my pants.
"Christine are you hard at hearing or some shit? I told yo ass me & you ain't never getting back together, so for the last time please stop trying to touch me, fuck me, kiss me, suck me, and whatever else you thinking about doing to me. STOP IT!"
If looks could've killed i'd be dead. She pouted like a big ass five year old as she got out my car and slammed my car door.
It was a must that I fixed things with Amber. I didn't care if she never talked to me again, I just don't want her to hate me. I couldn't get her ass out of my head, so why not see if I can piece what we had back together.
8:05 p.m
Amber's POV
As Kiyah drove to take me to my car I sat in the backseat staring out the window.
"Girl I cannot BELIEVE we wasted a whole shopping day for that bullshit." Ashley said.
"Imma punch David ass as soon as I see him 'cause what the fuck was he thinking getting that bitch pregnant and I hope that was before the breakup!"
"And they ass bet not be back together or- ouuuu!" Ashley said in a rage.
"Bitch calm yo' ass down. Ion even think Dave would do anything like that on purpose. You've known your brother for how long?" Kiyah said.
"I guess. He always said he wanted to start a family the right way, so maybe this was a slip up or something. Who knows." Ashley added.
I wanted to tell them so bad about what me and Dave have going on or at least HAD going on, but that would be too much for the day. I honestly think they'd be excited the way she tried to hook us up at the shop the other day, but right now its too early to say anything.
My mind wondered off as Kiyah and Ash were still talking ...
He really got 'ole girl pregnant. He told me he was done with her, and for them to ride together to his parents house was kind of making me think they actually was back together. I mean if he wanted her back he should've just told me that instead of wasting my time and had me thinking this shit'll go somewhere!
My thoughts were cut short when Ash tapped my leg.
"We here girl, you okay? You been quiet the whole ride. I know my family bullshit took a toll on you, and i'm sorry about that." Ashley said.
"I'm fine girl, it's okay family have bullshit going on all the time, and I most definitely understand."
"Well you have a good night boo, and be safe." Ashley said.
"Thanks you too, and thanks for the ride Kiyah."
"Girl shut up and get out I called you not the other way 'round. Just text me when you get home." Kiyah said.
"Oh my god, so rude! And ok bye bitches." I said getting out the car giggling.
I wanted to check on my mom and pops, but I know they had to be at work early as hell.
I got in my truck and played my song, Summer Walker x Girls Need Love.
I love long drives at night. Its a whole vibe to me, and it help me calm my thoughts when they're rushing through my big ass head.
9:52 p.m
I pulled into my driveway and just sat there. I texted Kiyah to let her know I was home. I got out my truck and went straight to the bathroom to shower. After I got out I put on my night gown and headed downstairs.
I was hungry so I made me some ramen noodles. Dealing with that bullshit I didn't get not a bite to eat while I was out.
I headed back upstairs, and put my tv on Netflix. I wanted to watch The Umbrella Academy, so I could see what the hype was about.
11:34 p.m
I was still up watching Netflix, when my doorbell rang. I was confused as hell because who could be at my damn door at almost 12 o'clock midnight. I turned all my lights off that were on and proceeded downstairs. I grabbed my bat as I proceeded to look out of the window slightly.
My eyes were playing tricks on me because I know damn well this man didn't just do a pop up at almost 12 in the damn morning.
Seeing his face, my anxiety level went from 0 to 10 real quick. I didn't know if I should smack his ass no hesitation or what.
I opened the door, examining him.
"What are you doing here?" I said slightly harsh.
