The twins sighed as they climbed up the steps to their house.
Michelle unlocked the front door, Miller following her in.
"Daddy, we're home!" they called.
They immediately heard him jogging down the stairs.
"Hey girls, how was school?" he questioned.
Their dad, Chase, was a tall, handsome, African American man. He had adopted the twins when they were seven and they love him with their entire being.
"School was actually really good. We met our mates," Michelle said with a proud grin.
Chase immediately smiled, unbelievably happy for the girls. He led them over to the living room, taking a seat in the chair that was across from the couch where they sat.
"So, what're their names? How old are they? What are they like?" He immediately started firing questions at them making them both laugh.
"Michelle, you go first," Miller started, wanting to get her thoughts together before she told their father about her mates.
"Sure, um his name is Luca. He's seventeen and he's also a senior and a vampire as well. He's been outgoing but kind of quiet. He talks a lot to me but between the two of us, I speak more," she explained, a smile on her face the whole time.
"He's amazing," she added.
"I'm so happy for you both," Chase said. "What about you, Mill?"
She hesitated. "Well um, I kind of have two mates?" she stated, although it sounded more like a question.
Chase was unable to hide his shock but he smiled nonetheless.
"What um, what're their names? Wait, boys or girls or both?" he questioned.
Chase's calmness immediately helped with Miller's nerves. "They're both guys and they were already mated when we met this morning. They've been mated since they were sixteen, which is when we're of age," the nerves that she did still have made her ramble.
Her dad nodded, silently telling her to continue.
"Their names are Addison are Remy. Addison is eighteen and Remy is seventeen. They're great dad, I promise. They're both pretty outspoken and talk more than I do, but they're amazing listeners. Remy's kind of a goofball and Addison is too but he can be serious when he needs to be. He has an incredibly calm and humble presence."
It was quiet for a moment before Chase spoke up.
"Tomorrow's Friday. Why don't you guys invite them over for dinner tomorrow after school?"
