Baekhyun's Pov :
After our really awkward encounter, we all rushed towards our next class which was unfortunately Maths.
And God I hate that subject.
Mrs Jia was yet to arrive so we head inside without any worries. I was yet to take a seat, unlike Kyungsoo and Sehun who rushed as soon as they were inside leaving two open seats just behind them.
I glared at the two who look quite smug at their actions. If they weren't my friends I would have killed them till now.
Chanyeol without a word took the seat beside the window leaving the next seat empty. I held back a sigh, letting myself occupy the remaining seat beside him. I can't help but wonder why was he being so open all of a sudden. Didn't he say he would never date me? But the smile!
Well, yeah he doesn't know that I'm playing with him so maybe my act is so well that he is finally letting me in that cold heart of his. I silently patted myself in victory.
Baekhyun : 1 ; Chanyeol : 0
After our class got ended Kyungsoo asked me if I need a ride. Kyungsoo rarely brings his car and today was one of those days but unfortunately, I had to reject him.
"No, Suho Hyung is picking me up today. He is back from states so he offered to meet me after my school ends"
I picked up my bag before filling it with all my things before raising it over my shoulder. I could see how Sehun suddenly stiffened making Kyungsoo almost crash and stumble back.
"What the hell. Watch it, man! Sehun are you okay, please be because I'm not ready to injure my precious ass"
Kyungsoo muttered sarcastically making me roll my eyes. "Precious ass my foot!"
We got so carried away with our talk that half of the class was already empty and also Chanyeol was nowhere to be seen. I swear he was just here a minute ago how can he run away so fast.
Shrugging my shoulders I walk myself out of the class while Kyungsoo still tried to pry into Sehun's sudden change of behaviour. I had to stop myself from smacking him.
How did he not notice? Sehun must be having only one person in his mind. Every year he tries his hardest to avoid that person.
"Your boyfriend abandoned you I see"
My head snapped towards the voice as a figure stood in a plain white shirt and blue skinny jeans with a yellow cap over her head. Lee Ji Eun stood with one hand holding her precious ball while another held the strap of her school bag. She still has that creepy smirk over her lips making me want to yank that from her face. How dare she show up after what she did. Shameless!
"Today must be my unlucky day," I said rolling my eyes. "I get to see you two times a day. So what in the world happened that I was honoured to have you come all the way here"
Her smirk didn't flatter as she pulls herself away from the way looking as chilled as ever.
"The wound on your forehead looks amazing by the way"
With my fist clenched I took a step towards her until a hand stopped me "Well, I should thank you for that" I backed away without averting my eyes from her.
Kyungsoo speaks interrupting us all of a sudden. "Ji Eun, you had your share of fun already. Thanks to you my friend here got injured and had to miss his class. Give us a break. You see Baekhyun has already moved on from your friend so I hope there won't be any more arguments or catfights from now on" He smiled but it was one of those smiles which clearly meant 'FUXK OFF'. I held back myself from smirking as I saw her smile disappear.
I shivered still standing between both of them who look like they were about to enter a war zone.
Surprisingly Ji Eun snorts. "Well, excuse me for my rudeness but I'm not here to beat you again Byun"
My gaze turns curious.
"Then what are you here for" I inquired trying to look past her expressions which turned serious all of a sudden.
"Next time look around when you reveal your secrets, Byun. The Walls of Imperial High maybe be strong and High but they ain't soundproof. Not everyone can be as good as me" I felt a sudden frown taking over my features.
"What do you mean?" I asked with a little bit of pressure in my words. She took a step forward looking straight in my eyes before leaning closer towards my shoulder as she whispered.
"Loey won't be happy to know that his little Boyfriend is an 'A grade' asshole. Only use him for his selfish needs"
Stepping backwards she let her hands fall on either side of her while smiling as if she hit some nerve and God she really did.
"You!" I swear I saw a flicker of something in her eyes but my anger clouded my vision to not notice it clearly.
"Ah!Ah!Ah! Byun" She motioned with two raised fingers into a 'don't even dare' sign. I inhaled once twice. Her smugness turned into a sneer as she stares down at me. Unconsciously I held my breathe as her next words came. "Remember my words, Byun. Stop Playing with Fire, or it will burn you and then you won't even be able to cure the unbearing pain that will come after"
Saying that she walked away. Her boots chucking over the titled floors.
Closing my eyes I tried to ignore what just happened. Over my shoulder I see Sehun stopping Kyungsoo from asking me anything. At such moments I was really grateful to have Sehun. I really need to hold the anger or it will harm me and my friends.
I groaned tugging the straps of my bag harshly over my shoulder. The atmosphere already turned tensed around us. With heavy steps, I exited the school doors.
As soon as I set foot outside, In my sight came a black Audi with a man in a dark blue silk shirt and black pants leaning gently over it. I could see the looks he was getting just by standing there like someone who jumped out of a magazine with his expensive car. Such a show-off. He smiled waving at us particularly me which I returned with a smirk.
Sehun and Kyungsoo parted ways with me as they went back towards their own cars leaving me walking towards the supermodel.
As he saw me he raised his sunglasses above smiling like an angel from heaven.
"You are ten minutes late," He said making me snort.
"Oh, sorry your highness your legs must be cramped should I massage you for them. I can assure you I'm very good at those" I teased him making him scrunch his face in disgust.
"Gross! I would prefer it from someone who isn't my cousin" He said making me laugh.
I wriggle my brows as we enter his Audi. I love his car. I was gonna ask my dad to gift me the same model once I turn 19. I've been craving to have one of my own.
"Sure, I'll ask Sehun to help you if you want" He stiffened as if what I said burned his tongue instead of mine. I let out a sigh. Here we go again.
"How is he? Does he know I'm back?" He asked.
I turned to face him with one raised brow. "Why, You suddenly care now?" I asked.
He stammered but I can see his fingers tightening over the steering wheel. I let my eyes roll back facing ahead once more. "He is fine better than before, and yes he does know that you are here and he didn't react so no need for you to get excited about it"
"I'm not excited, I was just simply asking"
I scoffed backing away making myself comfortably leaning against the seat. The air con was on making the car cool and cosy which made me feel kinda sleepy. I was about to dose when I suddenly faced him. His still hasn't changed. Still looks younger than his age. If he wasn't my cousin I would have thought of dating him. Don't judge me, people, Suho Hyung is an Art himself. Handsome, smart, generous, rich and very kind-hearted. He was a Saint but a hot one indeed.
"Did your Mother and Father know you are back here?" I asked carefully with my eyes still on him. "How could they allow you to come back here after...?"
He sighed before flashing a quick smile. "I am here to take what's mine Baek"
My eyes grew wide as I simply stare at him mouth agape. Did he just! "Did they agree to it? Oh My God please tell me it's what I'm thinking is true?"
He groaned but kept his smile as it is. "They did and I hope you will help me in this. I think I have to make up a lot to have him back Baek"
I squealed smiling like an Idiot. "Why didn't you meet him now. You should have gone directly after him"
"No way! He would have run away or most of all ignored me. I don't want to scare him and lose my chance. I want him but in a more pleasant way this time" He said making me roll my eyes.
"Aren't you a true gentleman Kim Junmyeon. CEO of SM Entertainment one of the leading companies all over the world. I bet you would even give him the world if he ask you too" I snickered as the pink hues appeared on his cheeks.
"Stop blushing like a teenager. You make me puke" I made faces making him laugh
"You will know once you love someone"
Now it was my turn to freeze.
Love.
Such a strong word for me. Will I ever love someone or someone would ever love me?
I tried to force a smile as we drove back home. It was pleasant ride as we talked about random stuff to pass time.
As he parked outside the gate Mom rushed out before hugging his broad figure squealing as if she met her crush.
"Mom I'm your son, you never got so happy seeing me" I faked a pout as they broke their hug. Rolling her eyes she pulled Suho Hyung by his arm.
"Drama queen! I see you everyday what's there to be excited"
I put my hand over my heart giving her my best puppy eyes. "You hurt me so bad Mom"
Dad pulled me towards him hugging me so tight that it was hard to breathe.
"I missed you son so much" Mom and Hyung laughed followed by Baekboem Hyung who grinned like an idiot.
"Alright! I won't do it again. Dad you might leave me now before I become a corpse"
I struggle in his hold ignoring the laughter from my so-called family. Once he does I breathe heavily giving all of them a stink eye.
"You all are so Unfair" I huffed. "Now let's go I'm hungry"
"How long are you here Jun. Last time you only stayed for a month and went back without informing anyone" Mom came back with some tea handing each cup to everyone.
Suho Hyung smiles. What a charmer.
"I have been thinking about this a lot lately. Maybe I would stay here for a long time now" He said making everyone confuse.
"What do you mean?" Baekboem Hyung chimed taking a sip of his tea.
"I mean I'm officially back here. Why will you get bored seeing my face everyday?" Mom jumped up raising her arms pulling him in a deep hug. We laughed as Dad also pulled him in a sideways hug. Their eyes twinkle as if the won a lottery. They have always adored Suho Hyung so I'm not surprised seeing the so happy.
After our long talk more than my parents asking him about his further plan we all were tired to after dinner we head back to bed. I was so tired that I just want to curl and sleep in the warmth of my bed.
I took a long relaxing shower draining all the tiredness from my sore bones. I feel my eyes droop heavily as I slowly change in my pyjamas. The sight would be funny as half of my eyes were already close.
Before I could even lay on my bed I heard a chim coming my from mobile as too many Notifications popped up over the screen.
I lazily walked towards the bedside table groaning as I open my message box to find few messages from Kyungsoo.
What I read made my heart jump and stagger a few steps back. My hands shook as i stared at the screen in horror. My sleep vanished completely.
No No! Please Please. This can't happen!
I didn't even care if I was in my pyjamas as I sprinted. My eyes kept darting back at news on the screen.
