The Valkyries were celebrating their new queen, she was strong, powerful, and beautiful beyond belief. She was loving and kind, and ruled with grace, and in the best interest of her people. Each and every person in the kingdom gave their heart to her.
Lucious was overwhelmed with happiness, and knew that he was exactly where he needed to be. He loved Abby with everything inside him, and he would live the rest of his immortal life worshipping his queen. He was her protector during the day, and her lover during the night, spilling his seed inside her in the hopes that he will get her with child. It is his only wish to start a family with her, he had everything else.
When Hawk arrived in Valkyrie land, he was welcomed with open arms, and he felt a sense of purpose. Looking into Abby's eyes that twinkled like diamonds in the night sky, he realized the love that she felt for Lucious and his heart twisted with pain. Nessa used to look at him in the same way.
"Welcome to our home Hawk, what took you so long to come?" Abby asked, giving him a much needed hug.
Hawk regarded her before he spoke, she looked radiant. Lucious pulled her into his possessive arms and Hawk could not help but feel a pang in his heart, missing Nessa with a passion. "I'm here now, that is all that counts." He said, trying to hide the longing in his voice.
Lucious tightened his hold on Abby, knowing that he was a lucky man to have her love, and felt sorry for Hawk's loss. "It's good to see you Hawk, we have much to talk about."
The handsome Fay smiled at his friend, and his eyes beamed with joy, "Aye we do." He said in a deep voice. "There are a few things that I would like to share with you too,"
The four of them walked into the sitting room and Lucious locked the golden doors for privacy.,They each took their seat, and Hawk swallowed a sob, when he saw Lucious sit next to Abby and place his arm around her. Hawk looked away for a second, blinking back tears. It wasn't that he was jealous of them in a hateful way, in fact, he loved them both and was happy for them, but his empty heart desperately missed Nessa, and he felt lonely without her.
Both Lucious and Abby did not miss the longing in their friends eyes, and they knew they had made the right decision to invite Hawk at their home. They had decided to keep him there and help him through this difficult time in his life.
"Hawk, Abby and I have something to ask of you." Lucious said, hesitating only for a second before he continued, wanting Hawks full attention. "We would like to ask you to stay here with us as our second in command. You are the only one who is fit for this position, and besides we trust you."
Hawk was surprised at their request, and he was left speechless. In a way, staying here might help him recover from a broken heart, if he kept himself busy enough, he thought, as he contemplated on what he should do, and it didn't take long for Hawk to make his decision.
"I'll take the offer Lucious," Hawk said, "I'm looking forward to serving the crown, but in case you didn't know, I am also second in command in Fay land, and I don't know how Kalen will react if he finds out I have taken a position here also as second in command."
"If Kalen is your friend, he will know and understand that it is best if you stay here now. Besides, he probably won't even notice, he will be too busy chasing your daughter around trying to convince her that she should be his wife to even notice your a absence." Lucious laughed.
The three of them had a wonderful time, talking laughing and planning for a brighter future. Hawk realized that staying with the Valkyries will help him keep busy until Nessa's return.

William gathered his family and extended family by the fireplace in the sitting room, and prepared himself to give a speech that hopefully will shed some light on why Hawk decided to leave Sterlingshire castle. When he received the news yesterday that Hawk had decided to remain with the Valkyries, he was upset and did not understand why he chose to leave them.
"My dear loved ones, Hawk's decision to leave was for the best. Lucious and Abby need his help. Just because we avoided Armageddon on Christmas Day does not mean that it will never happen. The prophecies state that soon it shall happen. The veil had thinned, and the walls will come down, it's only a matter of time before it happens, and we have to be prepared. Hawk will put a plan together with Lucious and Abby to aid the earthly plane when the time comes." He said, as he looked around the room and noticed to his dismay that Cheif Douglas who was here with his wife visiting them, was in a world of his own. He wasn't paying attention to anything that he was saying. "Is there something you would like to add Chief?"
Chief Douglas sighed and after a few seconds said, "There is plenty I need to say, but I don't know where to start. Mayhap it would be better if the ladies retired to their chambers, it is getting late and they should have their rest."
William noticed the fear in Douglas's eyes, and stiffened. He glanced at his wife and was grateful that Lidia lifted herself to her feet and collected Violet, Kyra, and her mother, and left the room. "Speak Douglas." William said, anxious to know what was bothering the Cheif.
Douglas lifted himself to a standing position, and cleared his throat before he spoke, "I have bad news my friend. Kyra's twin sister has disappeared!" He said, and looked around the room when everyone started talking at the same time.
"What do you mean she has disappeared?" William asked.
"I have been informed by my sources, that her adoptive parents were found dead in their home, and the girl is missing!" The Cheif said shocking everyone in the room.
"What does this mean?" William asked, "you think mayhap the dark ones have her?"
Douglas nodded his head, "Aye I do, they found her and took her." Douglas said, and silence fell across the room. "It is crucial that Edward finds her before she loses her virginity to the dark one, because if that happens, we are all doomed! She will belong to him, and he will sacrifice her to the dark queen in exchange for the veil to be torn down, and the walls to drop. Do not think for a minute that just because the walls didn't crash on Christmas day that we are safe. On Halloween, the dark forces will team up and they will bring the walls down, and if that happens, we are all doomed!"
"What is this Halloween?" Tristan asked.
"Halloween is a day in America, when all the children dress up in costumes and go around the neighborhood ringing doorbells and collecting candy, but in all reality, it is way more than that. On that day, the witches and dark souls celebrate evil. They meet in the black Forrest at midnight and sacrifice humans, and in return they gain power to do black deeds, and prepare for the day the walls will come crashing down." William said, "We have eight months to find her!" He continued, "Edward has been searching for her without success. We must help him find her quick, before it is too late!"
"You will do no such thing!" Douglas said in a firm tone of voice, "if you all go to America searching for her, you will alert the dark ones, let Edward find her himself, it is safer that way."
The MacAlisters stayed up all night with William, Douglas and Kalen, trying to come up with a solid plan. They were strong men with magical powers, who were dedicated to saving the world. It was the wee hours of the morning by the time Michael returned to his bed chambers, and slipped under the covers next to Kyra's warm body. Pulling her into his strong arms, he brushed his lips lightly over hers not wanting to wake her, and closed his eyes. He knew that sleep would not claim him, but be didn't care. As long as he held his wife in his arms, everything was going to be alright, he thought, as a smile curved his lips.

Hawk could not sleep, and he walked out onto the veranda and looked up into the starry night. To his delight, he saw a falling star make it's way across the dark sky, and he quickly closed his eyes and made a wish.
Far far away, somewhere across the universe, into another realm, in a whole other dimension, Nessa heard Hawk's wish and cried out his name, and as Hawk was walking back inside his bedchamber, he heard Nessa's voice call out to him, and he whirled around, but there was no one there. A single tear glided down his beautiful chiseled face, as he made his way to his bed, and he closed his eyes and slept peacefully for the first time in many months.
