"The waiting game."
Otto Grundig saw the lights go out and waited for the explosion but when nothing happened he moved cautiously round to the front of the house. Experience had taught him that occasionally not everything goes according to plan and they were either fumbling about looking for a torch or they were thinking about leaving the house altogether.
He moved over to a car parked in the drive. He waited. He listened for any noise and then on hearing none he slowly released the air in the off side tyres. It afforded him a perfect firing point so he reached into his trouser pocket, took out his silencer and then twisted it slowly onto the end of the gun barrel.
Now all he had to do was wait.
