Daddy

I can't help but sigh as I waddle down the stairs. "She's kicking again!" I yell at Austin who lays across the couch snoring. He flinches himself awake and ends up rolling off the side of the cushions. I laugh. Sometimes it's like I already live with a kid.
"She is?" He asks getting up and sitting back on the couch. I walk around the couch and sit down beside him. "Yeah.. Look," I reply and grab his hand, placing it on my stomach. I watch his eyes when suddenly they light up. "Oh my gosh! She's actually kicking!"
I giggle. "I wasn't lying! She's alive and feisty!"
I've never seen this boy smile so wide. He leans down closer to my stomach and starts talking to my belly. "Hi baby! It's daddy here.. I just wanted to tell you mommy and daddy are so ready to meet you and we love you so much!"
He looks back up and kisses me. "I can't believe it! I'm so excited! I'm seriously gonna be a dad!"
