"take care of yourself, Jindae. We're not there with you" Jinyoung oppa scratched my head or more of messing up my hair
"Jinyoung is right. Always inform us with everything and don't ever skip your check up" Mom told me
"Yes... I will always do whatever you guys are telling me. Don't worry, I'll be with Ms. Williams and Sheena" I smiled and assured them that I will be fine
"Text us when you got there" unnie told me and nodded
"When we call you, please answer it right away. Don't make us worry, or else we'll fly over there" Jinyoung oppa poked my nose
"Are you going to tell your dad about this?" Mom asked
"I'll be managing his company... We'll see each other there, but I don't have plans on telling him my story" I coldly told my mom as she also sighed
"Honey, I'm already fine with everything. It's been years and I already got over it, please don't be too hard. He's still your dad" she held my hand
"I know mom. I am not prohibiting him for being my dad. But-" I stated
"And there she goes with her so many Buts" Jinyoung oppa sighed that made us laugh
"But, he has no rights to force me to do something I don't want. Just like to live with his mistress" I rolled my eyes in the air and they nodded
"I have to go now, bye" I told them as I kissed and hugged them one by one
This is not my first time travelling alone but, why do I feel so sad?
Is it because of I left my family in Korea again?
Is it because of Jungkook?
"Don't worry my baby, mommy will take care of you. I promise, that you will grow up without any worries even tho we'll live our life alone. I love you~" I stated, talking to my belly
"No, you'll never live alone with your crazy mom because we're always here and your handsome samchon will also promise that he will spoil you with everything" someone suddenly talked beside me
I looked at the guy on my left side weirdly and glared at him.
"Sorry? Do I know you?" I asked
He then took off his mask and smiled at me widely
"Oppa?!" I half shouted
"What the heck are you doing here?!" I asked
"The heck? You're informally talking to your elder brother?!" He flicked my forehead
"Ouch! Why are you here then?" I asked again
"Jaena can't stay still. And I don't have works for 10 days so we all agreed that I'll company you for 9 days in New York" he smiled at me once again
"For what?!" I asked
"To make sure that you'll be fine..." He told me
"Oppa, I'll be fine" I said but he shook his head
"I know... But I'm already here" he smiled
"Haiiist! You all are so annoying" I sighed
"It's already late. You have to sleep" he told me as he reach for my blanket and fixed it
"Oppa, I'm no-"
"Kim Jindae. I may sometimes play dumb with you. But now, I am your older brother and a loving uncle of that baby inside you. And by that, I mean that you have to be selfless now. You have to take care of yourself because that baby's depending on you" he stated and he raised his voice a little. Just enough for me to know that he's being serious.
It's my first time seeing him like this. He usually smiles when talking with me, but now...
He's serious and he looks mad.
I was also touched by him. I realized that I am already a mom and he's right, my baby's depending on me. I have to take care for the both of us.
"Omo~ Jindae, mian. I shouldn't have raised my voice. I'm so sorry. I forgot that pregnant women are sensitive and emotional. I'm so sorry dongssaeng-ie" he immediately apologized and hugged me
"Oppa... I'm not crying because of that" I hit his arm as I wipe my tears
"Why are you crying then? I made you cry, your sister will kill me" he worriedly grabbed my hand
"No. I cried because I'm so touched. Thank you for being here. You made me realize things" I told him and hugged him back
"Oh our Jindae~ stop crying. We all love you, that's why we all wish good things for you and for the baby" he smiled
"Now, sleep" he commanded
I slept very well knowing that there's someone with me.
I slept for a few hours and woke up to eat and watch on Netflix and just slept again for the remaining hours.
Jinyoung oppa immediately woke me up right before the plane landed. Since it took us 14 hours, it's already afternoon in the Seoul while it's morning here in New York.
We decided to eat breakfast first inside the airport before going out.
As we got out...
"Jindae! Jindae Ross!" someone shouted
"Who's that?" Jinyoung oppa asked
I looked around and saw Ms. Williams and Sheena waving their hands at me
"Oh there! They're my friends here" I told him and pulled him
"Oh our Jindae, We missed you!" They both exclaimed and hugged me tightly
A few more seconds and Jinyoung oppa pulled my hand and tried to get me away from their hugs.
As he successfully pulled me away, the two girls glared at him
"Hey, why did you do that?!" They both shouted
"She can't be hugged too tight. You can't be too loud around her. No more bars and alcohols. No more unhealthy foods. No more excessive moves. And she has to be with me all the time while I'm here" Jinyoung oppa authoritatively told them
"What?! Why not?! And who are you?!" Sheena shouted at him
"Why not? Because she's pregnant" he coldly answered
"WHAT?!" they shouted in surprise
"You're pregnant Ms. Ross?" Ms. Williams asked
"Yes Ms. Williams" I smiled at them
"A-and he's the Dad? He's your boyfriend?!" Sheena exclaimed as I just laughed
"He's pretty protective. That's nice" Ms. Williams added
"No. Of course not" I answered
"What then? Who are you?" Sheena asked oppa
"I'm Jinyoung" oppa extended his hands for a shake
"If he's not your boy nor dad of your child, can he be mine?" Sheena whispered at me
"What?! No! He's my brother- in- law. My sister's fiancé." I told them and Ms. Williams nodded as Sheena pouted
"Who's the lucky guy and the dad of that angel then?" Ms. Williams asked as I just looked down
"He didn't know she's pregnant. It was Jindae's choice not to tell him to protect everything they both have" Jinyoung oppa puts his hand around my shoulders as he told them
"And that's why I came here with her because she wants to live here with the baby. I want to make sure she's fine before I leave. I hope you'll help me" he added
"Yes, of course. Are you going to live here until she give birth?" Sheena saucily stated
"Sheena... He's engaged. He is my brother" I told her and she pouted again
"No. I only have 9 days to be here because I have work" Jinyoung oppa answered
"Ms. Williams, right?" He then stated and Ms. Williams nodded
"Jindae told me you're Mom's friend here. Can you promise me to take care of her while we're away?" He held Ms. Williams' hand and pleased
"Of course. Jindae's like my daughter already" she answered
"But can we know, who got you pregnant?" Sheena suddenly asked and the first thing I did was looked at Jinyoung oppa as he only smiled at me
A smile that tells me that he will answer
"Someone we know. You don't have to worry about that, he's kind" he said while smiling
"We can't get to know him?" Sheena asked again
"Jindae decided to live here until she give birth to protect everything and everyone involved. Let's just respect her decision to hide it" he stated and Sheena just nodded
"Whoever that is, whatever the reason is, I know Jindae chose what is right" Ms. Williams smiled
"So, should we check where you will stay?" Jinyoung asked me as I nodded
We entered in Ms. Williams car and drove our way to the Village near by my dad's company that I am going to run for.
"Two storey house, Jindae?" Jinyoung oppa asked as we got out of the car and looked at the house and I nodded
"Does it have it's room downstairs? When the baby grew, your tummy will get big too. Jaena said, it's hard for a pregnant woman to walk upstairs because of their big tummy" he looked at me and stated
"Of course oppa. It has two rooms upstairs and one extra room downstairs" I told him
"I'll carry it for you" he told me as I was about to get my bag
"Woah, this is nice" Sheena stated as we entered the house
"Did you bought this?" Jinyoung oppa asked
"Knowing Jindae... She probably did" Sheena answered
"Actually no" I stated and they all turned at me
"Why?" Ms. Williams asked
"My life is in Seoul. As much as possible, I would go back there. But for now, I'll live here" I answered and I saw Jinyoung oppa smiled
"And I know that you know that you still really have to go back there to let them know about all of this" he smiled
"Yes. I know that oppa. And I will do that in a right time" I smiled back
"So where's my room?", Sheena interrupted
"Your room?!" Jinyoung oppa irritatedly asked
I can sense a cat and dog fight with this two
"Yes. Would you let this pregnant girl live alone here? Seriously?" She sarcastically asked him
"Oh. You have a point. Then your room will be here, then my room will be beside Jindae's. Got it?" He told her
"What?!" She complained
"You have anything to say?" Jinyoung oppa asked her sarcastically too and Sheena just rolled her eyes
"How old is she? She's being impolite" Jinyoung oppa whispered at me
"We're at same age" I told him and his eyes went wide
"Can I punish that girl then?!" He was shocked
"Oppa, we're here in New York. She live here, she grew up here. They have different culture. We can't just tell her to perform our culture when she's not even Korean. Just bare with it" I told him as he just sighed
He knows he has nothing to do with it anymore.
"Just sleep here Sheena, oppa has to live after a few days. You can have his room after he leaves" I told her
"Fine" she just stated
We started putting our things in places and fixed some furnitures to the positions and places I want.
I want to do some works but they won't let me, specially Jinyoung oppa.
"Try touching anything here and I will send you back to Korea right away" he threatened me
"Okay fine. I won't touch anything" I answered
"Just tell us what to do more and we'll do the work", he added
"We? Just do it on your own" Sheena complained
"You don't want to?" Jinyoung asked her
"I don't want to" she answered
"Then leave this house now" he told her
"Okay fine. I'll do it. You're an annoying brother- in- law of Jindae" she exclaimed
"neoneun michin yeoja ya! (You are a crazy woman) neoleul ttaeligo sip-eo geuleona dangsin-eun geunyeoui chinguya (i want to hit you but you are her friend) seong-gasin (annoying)" I heard Jinyoung oppa murmured that made me laugh so hard
"What's funny Jindae?" Ms. Williams asked
"I guess that guy said something" Sheena answered and I nodded
"He did, but I won't translate it for you" I told them between my laughs
"Why won't you? I am your friend!" She exclaimed
"And I am her brother! Still complaining?" Jinyoung oppa put his hand on his waist that made me laugh again
"Oppa! dangsin-eun ajummacheoleom haengdong (you act like old lady)" I stated and he also laughed when he realized
"You guys are talking in your language. Let's just finish this kids so that we can already eat and rest" Ms. Williams talked right before Sheena could talk
She did it for her not to start a bicker with Jinyoung oppa again.
