Beau stood back, far away in the corner of the street, watching her golden hair draped down softly curling along the ends. Every time she appeared the day never ended and smiles never faded. She was a siren leading everyone to sudden happiness. The beauty with the forever young green eyes. Beau was curious, what made her special? What made everyone around her suddenly smile? Feel joy? Was it because she cast a spell on them? Whatever it was made Beau curious.

He slowly made his way towards her as she walked inside Mr. Jones' old bookshop. No one really went in there, unless you were new to the town. Perhaps it was because the bookshop was Redrick, Victorian, sitting in between the two empty buildings. Beau pushed open the heavy swing door and his brown eyes scanned the room for the blonde hair woman. He instantly picked up on her unique scent, without registering that his legs were carrying him towards it. Beau found himself staring at her, she wasn't paying attention to her surroundings; stupid girl, he thought. Yet he couldn't help but stare.

She was beautiful in a classical way, golden curls and ivory skin; piercing eyes of green. She was taller than average and a little larger than a catwalk model, but still stunning which greatly confused Beau. Something radiated from within that rendered her irresistible to both genders. Men desired her and women courted her friendship. Beau cocked his head slightly, he was trying to see what was it about her and her scent that he couldn't stop himself from approaching her.

A loud gasp made Beau look away from her golden hair, the woman in front of him was tightly holding the book against her chest. "W-what do you want?" she asked, taking a step backward but stopped when her back hit the bookshelves. Beau snickered, it didn't matter if she was a witch or an Original she couldn't escape him... no one ever did.  Freya asked once again, her green eyes staring at him, trying to figure out why he was staring at her with a blank expression. Her mind went back to that day, the day she saw him kill those witches.

His voice was unexpected, surprising Freya. It was low, with an agreeable trace of huskiness and with a hint of more power than she originally thought. However, all of that went out the window when he utters those words. "Leave town with your family," Freya glared at him and all nervousness went away, angry replaced it.

Taking a confident step towards him, pointing her finger at him "listen to me--" Beau didn't let her finish her sentence, slapping her finger away, he gave her the same blank stare. "If you don't leave now, she won't show you mercy." And just like he appeared, Beau disappeared confusing Freya more. She blinked and blinked until her mind went blank with questions. Freya let out a deep sigh, her eyes locked at the spot Claire's son occupied. Throughout the day, Freya had the young boy in mind. She kept wondering what he had meant by that and who was this 'she'? Why wouldn't she show mercy? But most importantly why had he warned her?

Beau walked through the front doors of his home and was welcomed by silence. He knew that his sisters, Josie and Lizzie, were with the Mikaelson's child as Lottie was somewhere planning another of her evil scheme while Theo was having a chat the Mikaelson's brother, most liking threatening Niklaus to stay away. He was about to head towards his room until he heard the faint voice of his mother. Beau began making his way towards her voice, stopping in front of the kitchen entrance.

A soft smile appeared on his face when he sees Claire singing to herself while mixing a bowl full of batter. He stood there watching her with a gentle expression. There was something magical about Claire, Beau knew it from the moment he laid eyes on her. Perhaps it was the way she praises all of her children, whether they did something good or bad, she always said something positive. Or perhaps it was the way that she made him feel calm; it was no secret that Beau hid a dark side of him. He enjoyed killing, making people suffer whether it was right or not.

Beau knew there was something wrong with him, perhaps he got it from his werewolf side. Or maybe it was because his father was a serial killer, killing for the thrill of it. Or perhaps it was because his biological family never treated him as if he was a human being. Whatever it was, Claire never shows any bad emotions towards him. In fact, it was the opposite. She had taken from his father's family and adopted him into her little family. She had given him a home, siblings, and most important love. She had loved him from the start. Showing him that the world was more than what the other family had shown him; that there was more than anger and death. Beau was happy here, even if he didn't show it often he was truly happy.

But there was something coming, something sinister. It all started right before the Mikaelson came. Theo had felt a strange heavy shift in the air, the spirits had warned Lottie about the future, the girls (Josie and Lizzie) had felt something wrong with their magic, his aunt Bonnie had mentioned about the triangle of Confundantur, and his parents (Alaric and Claire) had been very secretive as of late and not to mention there was this unwelcomed witch guest. Something was coming whether if they were ready or not. Whatever it was Beau knew that he wasn't going to let it harm his family, he would gladly spill blood it doesn't matter who as long as his family was safe, he would give up his life or powers for them.

Out of nowhere, Beau felt a tender touch on his cheek. Blinking away his thoughts, his vision adjusted realizing that his mother was looking at him with a concerned expression. "What's the matter, my sweet boy?"

Beau looked at her for a second before smiling, he gently cupped her hand. "Nothing," Claire looked at him with her 'i don't believe you' look which made him laugh softly. Bring her hand to his lips, he kissed the back of her hand before giving it a small squeeze. "You worry too much, mother. One of these days I wouldn't be surprised if you start growing white hairs." Beau teased, giving her a smirk.

Claire swats his chest and glared at him playfully, "and whose fault will that be?" Beau shrugged his shoulders while smirking at her. When Claire went back behind the counter, he leaned against the doorframe and crossed his arms, watching as Claire put the tray of unbaked cookies into the oven. Pointing the wooden spoon full of cookie dough, "want to lick it?" Claire looked at him with a knowing smirk.

When Beau didn't move or say anything, she slowly moved the spoon towards her mouth and opened it. Right before she could lick it, Beau took it away from her. Giving her a fake glare as he shoved the spoon in his mouth making Claire laugh out in amazement. "Such a baby," Beau didn't say anything as he continued to lick off the cookie dough.

While Claire was cleaning up her mess, she had made Beau sit down and made him eat the remaining cookie dough which he wasn't complaining at all. It was silence for a while, Claire would often glance at Beau, his brows creased and face tensed. When Claire was finished, she sat down, coffee in hand, she asked "what's wrong?" her tone casual and light.

Beau's scowls at the clean bowl, "I... I don't know." He was being honest, he doesn't know what was wrong. That girl and her scent were still at the back of his mind, lingering there unwantedly.

Claire takes another sip and then continues, serious-faced, "you know whatever it is, I will help you. Whether it to hid a body or to kill someone. I'll keep you safe, " He looked straight into her eyes; eyes as open and honest as any child, warmth and safety. Beau's lips twitched and his heart flutter, this was his sweet mother. The person who had his back, no matter what. The person who would never betray him or look at him as if he was a monster. She loves him as much and passionately as she loves her biological children and the Saltzman Twins.

Beau reached out and held her soft, delicate hand. Giving it a squeeze, he looked at her with that gentle look he only gave to his mother and sisters. "I know. But this is something I must find out myself."

Claire looked at him and he could see her emotions right there; concerned, curious, and love. Again he felt those emotions only Claire could bring out. After a while of staring at him, Claire patted his hand and looked at him with her tender motherly look. "Just know that mother will always be here." When he nodded his head, Claire lends forwards and kissed his forehead; just like she always has done since he was a little boy. Beau closed his eyes cherishing her lips on his forehead before opening them, "thank you."

They both knew it wasn't a simple 'thank you' it was far more than that. It was two words but held a thousand meanings. Beau couldn't put in words how much he appreciates everything Claire has done for him and has continued to do for him. He cannot put in words what she makes him feel. He cannot put everything he wanted to say into words because it would never be enough, words wouldn't just be enough to thank her for everything she has done. If it wasn't for Claire, Beau knew that it was either the darkness in him would take him away or it would be his biologically family.

So instead, he said 'thank you' and a silent promise that he'll always make sure that she was safe and happy; just like she has done for him and his siblings.
