Laying in bed, I contemplated on calling Aug back. I knew I shouldn't have flipped on him like that but I just couldn't control myself.
"Mommy's sorry babe." I rubbed my belly as the baby kicked.
He was so in tuned with my emotions that from the moment I was upset, he would react.
Taking a deep breath, I exhaled as my phone rang. Seeing it was Druex, I answered and put it on speaker.
"Yes?"
"Hi to you too."
"I'm not in the mood Druex so just say why you are calling."
"Well I seen you staring on that blog with Trey."
"Ok and?"
"Damn! I can't even have fun with you now. Anyway, I wanted to know if it was cool to have Mirah this weekend?"
"Sure. You can come get her. I know she would love to see you."
"Thanks. You ok though?"
"Yea just tired."
"Oh ok well I'll leave you to rest."
"Thanks. I'll call you later or something."
"No problem."
Once my screen came back, I opened my Instagram and saw the post. Shaking my head, I figured that's probably what prompted Aug's call.
Sighing, I took my time and got up. Going to my bathroom, I took a quick shower and got back into bed.
"Mommy."
"Mmm?" I looked at Amirah.
"Nap please."
"Climb up." I patted the bed.
Before doing so, she ran into my bathroom and came back.
"Dry them before you come here."
"I did." She smiled as she climbed up.
"Where's your granny?"
"Watching TV."
"Ok."
As she laid close to me, I gently ran my fingers through her thick hair as she caressed my belly.
"Baby come soon?" She looked up at me.
"Yup." I smiled.

"Mommy, Mommy!" I heard Amirah exclaim. "Come see what I made."
Making my way out to the front porch, I smiled as I looked at what she had drew while she continued drawing.
"That's a pretty butterfly babe." I smiled.
"Thank you mommy. Is lunch ready?"
"Mhmm. Go wash up."
Packing away her chalk, she ran off into the house. Laughing as her silly behavior, I was about to close the door when someone called me.
"Alei!"
"Ye-" I paused when o had seen who it was.
"I know, you're shocked but don't be." He smiled.
"What are you doing here? How are you even here?"
"I know ya worried bout him and everything but don't be."
"How can I not. I don't know if he would be here or what is even going on." I sighed.
"Everything will be alright. Just know that we got you regardless aight."
"We? Who is we?"
Not even bothering to say anything, Mel just turned and walked off. I kept calling after him but he just disappeared.
Opening my eyes instantly, I laid there staring at the ceiling. I was completely confused by that dream.
Hearing my phone beep, I got it seeing a message from Trey telling me to put on my radio on a local station here.
Getting up, trying not to wake Amirah, I went into the kitchen and got piece of left over lasagna while I turned on the radio.
"So we're back with the boy Trey Songz."
"Yup."
"So before we finish, you know I gotta ask."
"Ask away man." Trey laughed.
"That photo that's going around. Is it true?"
"What? That I was out shopping for baby furniture? Yea thats true."
Smiling, I shook my head at the way he was playing with his words.
"So we go a baby Tremaine on the way then?"
"If she gives him my name yea, but that's between her and her man."
"Man." The announcer sucked his teeth. "You playing."
"Nah. I'm serious. She's a great friend of mines, my best friend actually and her first child is my god daughter." He cleared up. "People gotta stop believeing in everything they see on social media."
"Well alright man. What can I say. Ladies y'all still got a shot." He joked.
"Y'all wild." He laughed.
As the interview ended, I turned off my radio and finished eating. It was going on about five in the evening and I knew I had to wake up Amirah.
Washing up my plate, I made my way to my room when my mother approached me.
"Slept good?" He kissed me on my forehead.
"I did." I smiled.
"Good now go call that boyfriend of yours." She patted me on my butt.
"Why?"
"Because he called me wanting to talk to you. He's been trying to call you."
"Fine. I'll call him."
"Good. I'm tired of you two and the childish games."
"When I'm done, I need to talk to you though. About a dream I had."
"Ok."
Walking off into my room, I laughed at the sight of Amirah sitting up and sleeping on herself. She was about to topple over and that's what made her wake up.
"My sleepy head." I kissed her before getting my phone.

"Baybeh? Whea y'all at?"
"I'm upstairs putting Mirah to sleep." She yelled back.
Dropping my bag at the door, I was about to close the door when a familiar voice called me.
"Melman." I smiled seeing my brother. "Watchu doing hea?"
"Ya know I gotta visit my lah bro every now and then."
"True. So wassup."
"I came by ta wish ya an early happy birthday day."
"Bro? A nigga got three weeks still." I laughed.
"I know man but that's not all."
"Oh. Wassup?"
"That girl you got thea. She's special bro, take good care of her."
"I am man. I love ha too much ta let shit mess it up."
"I believe you man but don't forget it. Y'all gonna need each other."
"Man what are you talking about?"
"Like I told her, we got y'all regardless."
After he said that, I felt something touching my leg. Looking down, a little girl who looked so much like me but with my complexion was looking up at me.
Hearing the sound of my phone, I opened my eyes and just stared at the ceiling. Stretching for it, Alei was facetiming me.
"Wassup ma?" I rubbed my eyes.
"I woke you?"
"Yea but its cool I gotta get up anyway."
"Oh ok. Well um, I was calling to apologize for how I acted earlier. I was just so-"
"Baybeh yeen need ta apologize. I shouldn't have forgotten ta call ya back. I had seen the missed calls when I got back from the show but I fell asleep."
"I understand but I still shouldn't have reacted that way."
"Nah. I gave ya that reason too. I fucked up and I know its hard fa ya ta completely fagive me but know I wouldn't fuck up again."
"I'm really trying babe." She began to cry. "Its just so hard."
"I know love. Stop crying. I was gon surprise ya but I'm gonna be home this weekend."
"Yea?"
"Mhmm. I got something planned fa ya and Amirah." I smiled.
"Druex I coming for her."
"Oh. Alright then."
"Mommy move." Amirah pushed past her mother. "Hi uncle August."
"Wassup pretty girl. Every time I see ya, you get just as pretty as ya momma."
When I said that she began to blush.
"What you say ladybug."
"Thank you."
"Ya welcome love."
Finishing my conversation with Alei and her daughter, I got up and walked out front.
"Yo T?"
"Wassup Yung?" He looked at me.
"I gotta talk to you about something."
Putting his attention on me, he had this look on his face.
