Hawks eyes were cold and dangerous, as his gaze followed the Queen around the room. He remained silent and aloof, hiding his fear well, not wanting Prilla to know that she had the upper hand and use his fear as a weapon against him.
He had a family now to think about and keep safe, it wasn't just him anymore. When he was single he threw caution to the wind, but everything changed ever since he fell in love with Nessa, and she birthed him a child.
"Darling, I missed you this morning." Prilla told her husband, as she walked up to him and wrapped her arms around his neck. Drawing him close to her, she kissed him on his lips.
Hawk's heart turned stone cold as the King reluctantly wrapped his arms around her, and kissed her back. He didn't miss the coldness in Kalen's eye's that lasted for only a brief split second, before the King smiled at his wife lovingly and bent to kiss her. Kalen was a wise man, and Hawk could not believe why it took so long for his friend to figure out the Queens true feelings and motives.
Oh she was a clever one, but in all due time, Hawk was going to expose her for who she truly was. The King and Hawk go back thousands of years, when they were but young lads. Kalen was a Prince then, and had vowed to Hawk that once he became King he would take Hawk as his second in command, and he kept his word. For Kalen loved Hawk like a brother.
Hawks loyalty to his friend remained firm and unwavering, even after he married the woman that Hawk thought himself in love with.
He didn't blame Kalen for taking her for his wife, she was the most beautiful fairy in all the land, and he was crazy in love with her. Hawk never told Kalen or anyone else that he was sleeping with her, or that he fancied himself in love with her at the time. Prilla begged him to keep it a secret and fool that he was, he did as he was told. Looking back now, he understood Prilla's motives. She loved Hawk in her own way, but she loved being a Queen even more.
Hawk took an inhalation of breath, and glanced at his friend. Their eyes met and locked from across the room. There was a knowing look in the Kings eyes, and Hawk felt sorry for him. His wife was a whore, who went around seducing every man she was hung up on, and ridiculing the Kings honor. He hated her with a passion, and he vowed to himself to take her down, before his friend fell helpless to her wickedness.
"Papa," Violet screamed with excitement, running up to her father and wrapping her arms around his legs. "I love Fay land! Can I stay here! Please papa, this is where I belong, this castle was built for me and it will be mine one day anyhow...."
The color drained from Hawks face as she mouthed those innocent words, and he stopped her before she revealed anything more in front of Prilla. "We will talk about our visit later Violet." He told her, throwing her a deadly look that Violet new all too well from the last conversation she had had with her father. Pulling away from him, Violet walked silently to the love chair that was in the middle of the room , and sat on it.
Prilla who had whirled around and narrowed her cold eyes on the child when she heard the brats words, stood silently and analyzed what the child had said. Why hadn't anyone taken a spanking to her arse, she wondered. Clearly the brat had crossed the line, and if her father did not punish her, then she would take matters into her own hands. Who did she think she was claiming such nonsense!
Marching up to the child, she looked coldly down at her and said, "Since when do children speak without permission, and talk gibberish at that? I have a mind to punish you for your choice of words young lady!" The Queen spat.
Violets eyes narrowed, her pupils turned dark with hatred. Jumping off the couch before Hawk could stop her, she placed her hands on her hips and sneered, "I do not need your permission to talk! When your Queen days are over, I will squash you like a bug!"
"That's enough!" Hawk yelled from across the room, throwing Violet a warning look. "Clamp your mouth shut or I will give you a beating you shall never forget!" He warned, and tried to calm his beating heart.
His daughter did not know the danger she just put herself in, but Hawk knew how dangerous Prilla could be when she feels threatened. "Please Prilla," he said, "she's but a child, forgive her. I promise you when I go home I will have a long talk with her."
The Queen raised an eye brow, as her lips curled into a wicked smile. Hawk saw the gleam in her eyes, she was going to blackmail him to sleep with her, he just knew it!
"Very well then, you do that, but make sure that you teach her a lesson, one that she will never forget!" She said to Hawk.
"You need to be taught a lesson, one that you shall never forget!" Violet said angrily, "you are a bitch and I'm going to destroy you! You think you can fool my father and the King, but I'm on to you, and you shall not get away with it!"
"Enough!" Hawk roared, and he marched up to Violet and lifted her in his arms. He walked over to the love seat, sat his body down on it, and flipped his daughter over on his knees. Someone had to shut her up before she got all of them killed. Who knew what kind of magic Prilla possessed on her.
Lifting his huge hand in the air, Hawk brought it down hard on his daughters arse and spanked her. He should have done this a long time ago, mayhap he thought, she wouldn't have been this wild. He knew that Nessa would hang him for this, but Lidia would stick up for his actions.
Violet took her beating like a true warrior. Not once did she cry out as her fathers hand stung her bottom. She held her anger well, not wanting to give Prilla the satisfaction knowing that she was in pain. When her father was done and placed her back on the couch, pain shot up from her arse and she almost screamed, but again she held her tongue, and kept her tears in check, just to show Prilla that she was not afraid.
Prilla threw Violet a cold smile in her direction, and turned to look at her husband, who looked pale, and had an unsettled look in his eyes. "Now darling, what what was I saying before the brat interrupted us?"
The King's eyes met and locked with Hawks before he plastered a fake smile on his handsome face, and his eyes warmed when they fell on his wife. "My love, you weren't talking, you were kissing me." He said, and he pulled his wife into his arms, and kissed her tenderly.
Hawk stiffly threw a look at his daughter who was watching the royal couple with a menace look, and quickly walked up to her, and whispered a threat in her ear. Violet clenched her mouth shut, and her hands twisted around the fine garment she wore, at her sides.
"Mayhap my daughter and I should go home, and come back another day. It is clear to me that you two have much to catch up on." Hawk said, grabbing his daughter by the hands and pulling her to her feet. And when his daughter opened her mouth to say something, Hawk squeezed her hand in warning, and she clamped it shut again.
"Very well then, go, and I shall visit you one day this week and we could catch up where we left off." Kalen said. Throwing Hawk a disturbing glance.
Hawk wasted no time zapping himself and his daughter out of there. Eager to go home and have a long talk with her.
Back in his chambers, he motioned for Violet to sit on the chair by the window, and he pulled a chair from the corner dragging it across the room and placing it in front of Violet. He sat his arse on it, not once taking his eyes off her.
Viloet swallowed and placed her trembling hands on her lap. She knew that she was going to hear a lecture, and she prepared herself for it. Lifting her chin in the air, she wanted to send a statement to her father that she was not afraid of the stupid Queen!
Hawk noticed her attitude and sighed. This was going to be harder than he first thought. "Violet, " he said gently, "today you over stepped your boundaries. You misbehaved and almost got us all killed!"
"Why do you fear her papa? I am stronger than she is!" She said. "And the castle is mine, I helped built it!" She said.
Hawk looked taken aback. "No Violet, you weren't even alive when the castle was built!" He corrected her.
"Father, I was there when each and every brick was laid! I remember every single little detail. Even though I was not there physically, I was there in spirit and watched, guiding their minds on how I wanted the castle built. I remember everything now!" She said, and swung her little feet back and forth, annoyed that her father looked at her as if he didn't believe her words.
Hawk just sat there frozen, wondering what the hell happened to his little girl. Fay's are not spirits before they are born, they are created at the time of their birth, and then they live forever!
Violet watched all the emotions play on her fathers face and sighed, he doesn't believe her, she thought, "Father, I am part Fay, part Druid, and part Valkyrie! I have chosen you as my father way before I was born. I have lived as a Valkyrie for ever in spirit form, but did not want to be born on the earth plane because earth is so limited. My powers father do not come from you and mother, they were gifted to me by the first Valkyrie Queen, and I was told that I would come to earth to aid Abby. My job is to help put Abby on the throne, she is the true Valkyrie Queen! The first Valkyrie Queen, and I made a plan, one so carefully constructed that would make me powerful enough to overthrow the current Queen. We decided that with my powers and that of the Fay's, combined with Druid blood, would make me a very powerful being and that's why I chose you and mother as my parents. I watched you for years and knew in my heart that i would love you as my father, papa, and when I read your blue prints, it showed me that you would fall in love with mama, and I was so excited to come to earth and be yours and mama's little girl."
Hawk was blown away with all this information, he stared at her not believing his ears. "You are a Valkyrie?"
"I am part Valkyrie, part Fay and part Druid, but I am to rule the Fay world, until I marry Kalen and give birth to our son, and then he will take the position as King and rule from then on. Kalen and I are just the means for our son to be created. He will be the true ruler of the Fay world father. He and I come from a long line of kings and queens. The first Valkyrie queen is trying to balance the earth and it's surrounding dimensions, by placing the true royals on the thrones where they belong. Once that is done, there will be peace on earth and between all other dimensions as well." She told him.
"How many dimensions are there?" Hawk asked.
"Thousands of them father, and if we do not hurry and balance them, there will be war, and everything will be destroyed. That is what the Valkyrie Queen who reins now is trying to do! Haven't your read the prophecies papa? All is explained in there. William knows this, he knows everything! Lucious and Stephan are here to save the earth plane. They have a very important positions in keeping the peace between the worlds, and I am sent to help the Valkyries, and the Fay's!" She said.
And her father was left baffled at all the information that his young daughter revealed.
