Third Person POV
Throughout the dance, many students were dancing with their partners as some stood with their friends and chat the night away. While many of the students were dancing, Ruby was sitting by punch bowl as she looks at the different dancers.
???: I see you're hiding at the punch bowl too.
She heard someone say to her.
Ruby: Yeah Jaune.
Jaune: To the socially awkard.
He said to her before clanging their cups together.
Ruby: Sorry things didn't work out with Weiss.
She said to him.
Jaune: Meh. It's fine, Neptune's pretty cool.
He said to her.
Ruby: I mean like Weiss came to the dance alone.
Jaune: Wait what.
He said as Ruby was looking at Y/N.
Standing with Blake as she giggles.
Ruby: He's look so cute in that suit.
She said to herself.
Blake: Didn't know you could dance.
She said to him.
Y/N: Learned from a man with taste.
He said to her as he danced with her.
Blake: And who might that be?
She asked.
Y/N: Someone who taught me how to shoot and created my weapons of choice.
He said as he looked at her amber eyes.
Blake: Ahh. I see.
She smiles as she holds his hands.
Y/N: And when did you learn?
He asked her.
Blake looks away as a hint of hurt flashed through her mind.
Y/N: Sorry.
He said, noticing her eyes.
Blake: N-No its fine.
She said to him.
Y/N: Didn't mean to bring it up.
He said as he looks at her.
Blake: As long you're right here.
She smiles.
Y/N smiles as he saw that he could trust her.
???: Hey you two.
They heard another voice.
Y/N and Blake turned to see Yang looking at them.
Yang: Look at that, the kitty already claiming who's hers.
She teases.
Blake: Y-Yang.
She blushes.
Yang: Wouldn't mind me dancing with him tonight would you kitty.
She teases.
Blake: I wouldn't.
She said as she looks at him.
Blake: Thanks for the dance Y/N.
She kisses his cheek before walking to where Ruby was.
Yang: My. Look at that, you've already made the kitty fall for you.
She giggles.
Y/N: Well, I guess we're both alike.
He said as he dances with Yang, touching her waist.
Yang: Who would have thought that she looked at you more than the monkey boy.
She chuckles.
Y/N: It's not my choice so...
He said as he dances with her.
Yang: Hey. At least you got a cute girl looking after you.
She smirks.
Y/N chuckles as he continues to dance with her, feeling Yang's hand tighten around his.
Y/N: What do you think you are doing.
He said as he looks at her lilac eyes.
Yang: Can't a girl enjoy her dance.
She smirks.
Y/N: Don't act like I haven't noticed your liking towards me.
I whispered into her ear.
Yang: Ooh. What is that suppose to mean.
She smirks.
Y/N: Don't tempt me.
He said as smiles at her.
Yang: Oh.
She said as she licks her lips.
Y/N: Well. I'm going to take a small break. You mind?
He asked her.
Yang: No problem cutie.
She winks.
Y/N rolls his eyes and walks to grab something to drink before noticing Pyrrha walk to the stairs. Sensing something not right, he walks up the stairs to see her standing at the railing as she looked out to entrance of Beacon.
Y/N: Hey Pyrrha.
He said as he looks at her.
Pyrrha: Oh hey Y/N.
She said as she turned around to look at him.
Y/N: Are you doing okay? Didn't notice til now.
He asks as he walks to her.
Pyrrha: Arrived late I'm afraid.
She said as she turned around.
Y/N: Well you look really nice.
He said as he stood by her.
Pyrrha: Thank you.
Y/N: I hope your date is going to beat me for saying that.
He said to her.
Pyrrha: I think you're safe for tonight.
She said.
Y/N: So...Who did you ask?
He asked her.
Pyrrha: No one.
She told him.
Y/N: O-Oh...
Pyrrha: No one asked me.
She told him.
Y/N: How could no one ask the great Pyrrha Nikos?
He asked her.
Pyrrha slowly turns around as she looked back at the court.
Pyrrha: I've been blessed with incredible talents and opportunities. I'm constantly surrounded by love and praise. But when you're placed on that pedestal for so long, you've become separated from the people that put you there in the first place. Everyone assumes I'm too good for them. That I'm on a level they simply can't attain. It's become impossible to form any sort of meaningful relationship with people.
Y/N: Pyrrha.
He said to her, making her look at him.
Y/N: What do you think people refer to me as?
He asked her as he undoes his binding, revealing his demonic arm as he earned a gasp from Pyrrha.
Y/N: Just like you, I was placed on a pedestal but I was betrayed by those I cared and loved.
He told her as he clenches his fists in anger.
Pyrrha: I-I didn't know.
She told him as she placed her hand on his shoulder.
Y/N: They called me a devil, a monster. Just like the grimm.
He told her.
Pyrrha: How could anyone do that?
She asked him.
Y/N: I don't know.
He said as he saw someone walking out of the entrance and towards the tower.
Y/N: Hey Pyrrha.
He said as he looks at her.
Pyrrha looks at him with her emerald eyes.
Y/N: I'll see you around.
He pets her head before leaving.
While Pyrrha watched him walk down the steps, she placed her hand on her chest as she smiled a little.
Pyrrha: You're not a monster.
She said to herself.
To Y/N
Y/N grabbed Blue Rose and Red Queen out of his locker as he followed the stranger into the building. He continued to walk towards the building to see knockd out guards.
Y/N: Looks like she is about install it. Perfect.
He smirks as he readies Red Queen while a blue aura forms around him.
To Cinder
Cinder was sitting at a desk as she was logging into the computer, installing the virus as she hears Emerald's voice.
Emerald: A party guess is leaving.
Cinder: *sighs* Which one?
She asked.
Emerald: Ironwood.
She said as Mercury stopped dancing.
Mercury: I guess the General's had enough for one night. Should we intervene?
He asked her as the monitors in the room flash.
Cinder: No. We're do-SHANK
Mercury: Cinder!?
He said in shock.
Cinder slowly looks down and saw Red Queen impaling her through the stomach.
Y/N: Hello Cinder.
He said as he looks at her with his E/C eyes.
Cinder: Y-Y-Y-Y/N?
She said in fear.
Emerald/Mercury: Y/N!?
Y/N: Look at that. Who would have thought.
He said as he rips his sword out, causing Cinder to fall to the ground.
Y/N pulls a USB and puts it into the computer before uninstalling the virus.
Y/N: Thank you Watts for the tech.
He said before crushing the USB, destroying the computer virus.
Y/N turned around and sees Cinder slowly crawling away as she left a trail of blood behind her, trying to get away from Y/N.
Y/N: Look at that. Even with the fall maiden's power, you can't even protect yourself. How incompetent.
He said as he grabs her by the hair.
While Y/N stood by Cinder, Mercury was running out towards the tower but saw Ironwood walking towards it.
Mercury: Cinder! I'm coming!
He yells through the microphone.
Y/N: Too late. Just like how you were with Neo.
BANG
Y/N shot Cinder in the head, killing her and making sure the two hear it through.
Y/N: You failed her. Just like you failed to protect Neo. How pathetic Mercury. Pathetic.
