Chapter 8:
*few weeks later*
The Dolan Twins were in their *studio* where they were filming, they did their intro before telling them what's the video was about.
Ethan: as you guys can tell from the video title, it's Emily's Birthday! Although you guys won't be able to see this video on her actual birthday, but make sure you wish her a happy birthday down below!
Grayson: we told you guys recently, that we will be guardians of Emily for now on because of certain circumstances that happened in our life
Ethan: so we wanted to give Emily the best 12 birthday, EVER!
Grayson: Ethan, be quiet we don't want to wake her up just yet.
Ethan: oh right I forgot...
Grayson: so for her birthday this year, we decided we were going to do something different
Ethan: we invited all her friends that she met during the summer that she was going to attend school with, with the help of her pal Sophie
Grayson: although we had to take her phone away, for us to do so. She wasn't really happy. Luckily we did that when she was on punishment
Ethan: yeah, she loves that thing more than us sometimes
Grayson: I mean we don't blame her, we do drive her insane sometimes
Ethan: that's what big brothers do
The boys were now in another location where they had Emily's birthday present set up in the family, with all her presents and streamers lying down towards the presents for when she comes in.
Ethan: as you can see, we went all out for her birthday this year, because 12 is a very important year because she will be a teenager next year and she won't be the same little nugget we known since we were little, and it will also be harder to pick out presents for her now that she isn't into toys
Grayson: she's growing up so fast Ethan
Ethan: I know
???: what are you two crying about?
Grayson: *fakes sniffles* uh... nothing Sophie
Ethan: how is it possible that you always enter our home without ringing the door bell
Sophie: you guys don't lock your doors
Grayson: Ethan! I told you to lock the doors
Ethan: oh... you were serious?
Grayson smack him in the back of the head playfully and Ethan did it back playfully and the two started giving each other noggies playfully and Sophie broke it off.
Sophie: boys! You're gonna ruin the surprised, now be civil!
Ethan/Grayson: he started it!
Sophie: *roll eyes* boys
Grayson: anyways guys, this is Emily's best friend also our neighbor since we moved to LA
Sophie: *waves* hi, the boys were the ones that introduced me to Emily *whisper to camera* I use to be a stalker fan who would randomly come into their house and go through their draws
Grayson: what?
Sophie: n-nothing
Ethan: yes Sophie was a fan of us, but she is more matured now since then, so we trust her now that we know she isn't just using our sister to get close to us
Sophie: *jokes* thanks for blowing my cover boys. Anyways, I'm so happy to be apart of this surprised, I know my best friend is gonna love it. I had to keep this from her for weeks, she gonna kill me for keeping this from her.
Ethan: thank you for waking up early for this
Sophie: no problem, we been doing this forever since we met, I'm use to it by now
Grayson got Emily's present, and it was a cute adorable black and white cat.
Grayson: this was the surprise we got her "shhh!!! Don't tell her!"
Ethan: she wanted a dog as well, but since Grayson is allergic to dogs, we could only have a cat for now
Sophie: Emily loves cats, so she will definitely love this gift out of everything we give her
Ethan: so we are gonna go wake up now, we will each have a confetti to wake her up
Sophie: she's gonna be so mad, Emily's a neat freak
Grayson: and if she kills us, pray for us
The boys walked to Emily's room with Sophie and the camera guy, and on the count of 3 they shooted their confetti and said.
Gang: HAPPY BIRTHDAY EMILY!
Emily screamed and fell out of bed and open her eyes wide and look around her room, and at her family.
Emily: *glares* you guys are dead!
All of them ran out and to the surprise and Emily chased after them but stopped in her tracked and gasped shocked when she sees her surprised.
Emily: OH MY GOSH! OH MY GOSH! THANK YOU!
Emily hugs her brothers and her best friend and Ethan said.
Ethan: your welcome sweetheart, sorry had to wake you up like that
Emily: it was so worth it, but you three are totally cleaning my room up and making it spotless like I left it
Grayson/Ethan: of course
Grayson: anything on your special day *kiss forehead*
Emily: thanks boys, can I open my presents now?
Grayson: of course, dig in
Sophie: wait open my present!
Sophie hands Emily the present and she opened the present and gasp and said.
Emily: Sophie this is amazing!
Grayson: what is it?
Sophie: it's a scrap book
Emily: and it has everything since the day we met, I love it, thank you! *hugs her*
Sophie: *hugs back* no problem
Emily: I remember the day we met, you tried to sneak attack me in a middle of a picture, because you were a craze fan of my brothers
Sophie: your brothers seriously needs security camera
Grayson: more like body guard, but now that you think of it we probably should for safety of our family
Sophie: we were so little too
Emily: goes to last page* wait Sophie, when was this?
Sophie: oh that, I wanted to recreate the original photo
Emily: I'm surprised I didn't see you
Sophie: you had your sunglasses on, you could barely see anything
Grayson: alright we have a bunch of present to go through, so can we stop going through memory lane?
Sophie/Emily: sorry
Emily opened up the rest of her present until her last one. She had to close her eyes and hold out her hand, Grayson put it in her arms, she Emily squeals but stayed calm that.
Emily: boys this better not be a prank!
Grayson: it isn't, open
Emily open her eyes and screamed and hug the cat and started crying.
Ethan: oh, Emily don't cry.
Grayson: do you not like the cat? We can take it back?
Emily: Noooo!!!! I'm crying because I'm happy. Thank you, she so perfect, it is a girl cat?
Grayson: yes, just like you want it, her birthday is October 13
Sophie: ooo a Libra cat
Emily: I think I know what to call it, 13
Sophie: oh because her birthday is the 13th got it
Emily: yep! Thank you, I love her *hugs her brothers* and I love all the gift too
Ethan: also there's more surprise later
Emily: more surprises? I don't think I can handled some many at once
Grayson: don't worry they're all good
Emily: why?
Ethan: well you got all A's, you're somewhat been god despite all the trouble you got into this summer, you're still a good kid with a good heart
Emily *blush* thanks, but that's because I got awesome brothers that raised me so well!!!
Grayson/Ethan: you bet you do!
Sophie: you know, I sometimes forget you two are twins, the talking at the same time creeps me out
Grayson/Ethan: us both
Emily: o-okay... can I have my birthday breakfast now?
Grayson: of course, I am the chef in the house after all *smiles*
Ethan: show off
The family sat down prayed, ate breakfast and Emily went back to her room to put her presents away.
Emily was in her room outing up the led lights she got for her birthday and the fairy lights, Sophie came in and said.
Sophie: wow your room looks really cool with lights
Emily: thanks, I got the idea from Pinterest. I could never finish my room because I'm never here. But now that I'm here forever, the boys said I could decorate how ever I like
Sophie: I see 13 like its new bed
Emily: she so attach to that thing
Sophie: I bet, so uh... the boys wants you in the backyard
Emily: for what?
Sophie: oh come on, nice dress by the way, looks so cute on you
Emily: thanks, it's my birthday dress from Fashion Nova. The boy's told me to wear it.
Sophie: Fashion Novas has such amazing clothes
Emily: yeah they do
The girls said walking out of the room and towards the backyard, when they went outside the girls got surprised by their friends and Emily screamed.
Emily: OH MY GOSH!
Sophie: Happy Birthday!
Emily: Sophie! This is amazing thank you!
Sophie: it was actually your brothers idea
Ethan/Grayson: Happy Birthday kiddo!
Emily: oh my gosh! You guys are the best brothers ever! *hugs them*
Ethan: we are glad you like it
Grayson: now go on, have fun with your friends
???: Hey Emily
Emily: *turns around* h-hi G-Gavin
Ethan/Grayson: *looks suspicious at them*
Gavin: *gives her a box* happy birthday
Emily: *blush* thank you *opens it* of gosh, it's beautiful Gavin!
Gavin: the G stands for me
Emily: *blush* of course
Gavin: want me to help you to help you put it on
Emily went to say something but her brothers steps in front of her.
Grayson: hi I'm Grayson *gives him eye daggers*
Ethan: and I'm Ethan
Gavin: oh... you guys are the Dolan Twins. I love your YouTube channel
Grayson: *mumbles* not as much as you like our sister
Gavin: what?
Ethan: *hits Grayson in the stomach* nothing
Emily: *push her brothers apart* I'm so sorry about that, my brothers are annoying! *gives them look* of course you can put it on me
Emily hands him the necklace and she turned around as Gavin puts it around her neck. She smiled and turns to him and said.
Emily: it's beautiful
Gavin: just like you- I mean your so beautiful- I mean-
Emily: I know what you meant
Gavin: *blush*
Ethan/Grayson: *gives them both looks*
Emily: *looks at her brothers* uh... boys don't you have somewhere to be?
Ethan/Grayson: nope *cross arm glares at Gavin*
Gavin: uh... I gotta go *runs off*
Emily: *cross arm and gives her brothers look* look I know you two don't like it when I have crushes on a boy, but could you not scare every boy that I talk to?
Ethan: you're too young to be liking boys
Emily: guys I'm 12 now, and not a baby anymore
Grayson: but you're still our little sister and a bit immature to be dating so young
Emily: I am not immature Grayson! Take that back!
Ethan: I have to agree with him Emily. You're to young to be dating boys
Emily: but we are not dating! I just have a crush on him
Grayson: crush or not, no boys at your age. You're not allowed to date until your 40
Emily: I'll be too old by then *pouts*
Ethan: 40 is not that old, it's very mature age
Emily: by the time I'm 40, everyone would be having their first kiss or have kids
Ethan: she's right Grayson, I mean we didn't have our first kiss until we-
Grayson: *covers mouth* don't say that, then she's gonna sneak around behind our back. But I do agree that 40 is unreasonable. How about 18?
Emily: *gives look*
Grayson: 17?
Emily: *gives look*
Grayson: okay 16! But that is as low as I can go
Emily: I'm okay with that, that means I have 4 years, thanks boys *skips away happily*
Grayson: I fell right into that, didn't I?
Ethan: yep!
Grayson: I can't believe she's growing up so fast, raising a girl is gonna be so complicated
Ethan: I know, there's gonna be so many things we won't understand as she grows up
Grayson: well that's the part of learning, I mean we can read parenting books about it
Ethan: really parenting books? Doesn't it just come naturally to some people, why do we need parenting books?
Grayson: because we are not parents, we don't know anything about raising kids, like what do when we run into a problem to something we don't understand
Ethan: like what?
Grayson: drugs, alcohol-
Ethan: she's a kid Grayson
Grayson: there's some kids that get pure pressure-so young. I don't even know if mom or dad ever talk to her about those stuff yet
Ethan: maybe reading those parenting books isn't so bad...
Grayson: come on, let's go get the food ready for the kids
After the kids dance, ate, Emily's favorite band came to surprise her at her birthday party. They were the "Jonas Brothers" (a/n: the year is 2019, so the boys were a band at this time) they surprised her with tickets for their Happiness Begins Tour and she was allowed to bring whoever she wanted.
After the boys left, the wish Emily a happy birthday and cut the cake and the party continue until 10pm.
Emily: *walks up to her brothers at the end of the party* thanks for the party boys
Grayson: anything for you kiddo. You're growing up so fast
Emily: yeah I know, I love you guys *hugs them*
Grayson/Ethan: we love you too
Grayson: get to bed, its way past bedtime
Emily: don't you guys need help cleaning up?
Grayson: will do it, you just head to bed
Emily: goodnight *leaves*
Grayson: did you call the cleaning lady?
Ethan: yeah she will be here tomorrow morning
Grayson: thank god
Ethan: I know right
Grayson: I am not doing this again
Ethan: we still got 5 years of party left to go that's if she doesn't leave the house after 18
Grayson: oh she's leaving the house after 18, because she's going away for college
Ethan: we didn't go to college
Grayson: yeah and I don't want that for her, neither would dad. Dad may have been supportive of us chasing our dream, but I bet he would have wanted us to go to college. So I want that for Emily. You think he would be happy when he finds out his youngest daughter not going to college?
Ethan: you might be right, dad would be turning over his grave. But we have to get through with middle school and high school before she can even talk about college. Let's just think of the little time we have left with her
Grayson: your right, I guess we are just nervous about what the future will hold for us three
Ethan: yeah
Grayson: we should probably get to bed, we have a video to help edit before we upload it on Tuesday.
The two of them head into the house and got ready for bed.
