~Keith's POV~
He woke up at 6:23 in the morning. He threw on a pair of ripped black skinny jeans, a white tank top, a red flannel tied around his waist, red converse, a gray beanie, and of course his black fingerless gloves. He decided to wear the beanie because it made him think of Lance. He wouldn't admit it to anyone but himself but he was starting to like Lance. AS A FRIEND OF COURSE- god dammit! Maybe he liked him more than a friend but he didn't think Lance thought the same.
He smacked the thoughts out of his head and walked downstairs. His mom was making breakfast and his dad was in the living room playing with Keith's little sister Nova. (Nova is a made up character I made. She is not from Voltron) His sister is 6 years old. She's in first grade and Keith drives her to school.
"Hey mom" he greeted his mom as he sat down at the table for breakfast.
"Good morning Little Red" she said. The nick name only made him think of Lance again. Why was he stuck in his head. His mother handed him a piece of toast and told him to eat up as she handed Nova her cereal. Nova walked into the kitchen and sat next to Keith.
"Keef are chu driving me to school today?" She said in the most adorable voice you can think of.
"Yes Nova I am"
"Otay yay!"
Keith let out a little laugh at his sisters excitement.

Keith dropped her off at school and then drove to his own school. He walked up the steps and sat down on the step he always sat on. He saw Lance walking up to him.
"You've got to be kidding me" the tall boy said.
He was wearing the exact same thing as Keith minus the gloves and the red parts were blue.
"Holy crap. How'd this happen" Keith responded.
"May I sit?"
"Mm fine but only til my friends show up." Keith replied moving his backpack so Lance could sit next to him.
"So...um...how are you? You know after what happened last night...." Lance said breaking the silence.
"I'm fine..... a little shaken up but I'm ok..."
"What did he do to you anyway?"
"He pinned me against the walls and he was about to um...kiss me...." Keith said and looked at the floor in front of him.
"I'll protect you...from him."
"Why would you help me of all people?" Keith asked in disbelief.
"Look I absolutely despise Lotor so don't think I'm doing this for you. I'm mostly doing it for myself. But I'm not a jerk like him so I'll be nice to you."
"Well thanks anyways" he said with a laugh
"So tell me about yourself Violet Eyes." He said with a smirk.
"Oh um well I have a little sister named Nova my parents love space so that's why that's her name is Nova. I like to draw I guess umm...what are you doing?" He was leaning very close to Keith.
"Listening~"
"Umm tell me about you bad boy..." Keith said. Ok, he had a crush on Lance it was official.
"Oh um well I don't really like talking about my family but I'll tell you about my friends."
Keith nodded to let Lance know he could continue.
"Well, there's my friend Roxy who is- I don't know if I'm not supposed to tell you this but Roxy is dating Pidge."
"Oh I knew that. I can see her and Pidge through the library window."
"Ok good. There's my friend Shay she's a total sweetie but she's still really bad ass. My friend Josh who won't admit his crush on Matt."
"Haha neither will Matt!"
"Omg they're so oblivious! Anyway moving on to my friend Adam."
"He's super nice once you get to know him I'm not exactly sure who he likes but-" Lance stopped mid-sentence because he could hear Adam's voice.
He looked over the banister of the stairway to see Adam talking to a boy.
"Shiro" Keith whispered quietly so only Lance could hear.
"Hmm so that's who he likes. Watch this... Hey Adam!"
"Holly shit Lance what the hell was that for!?"
"You never told me have a boyfriend Adam!"
"I don't!"
"Says who?" Shiro said and Adam turned bright red.
"S-Shut up!"
"Shiro is this the one who gave you the phone number?"
"HAH! So you are dating." Lance said in victory.
"Ok fine we are! Happy?"
Shiro kisses Adam's forehead
"Awwwww that's so cute" Keith said
"Have you like had a real kiss yet?" Lance asked.
"Yeah but hmph-"
Shiro kisses Adam passionately. Adam leans more into Shiro deepening the kiss.
The both pull away after a while. Lance turned his attention to the parking lot he remembered the color and style of Keith's friends cars so he decided to tease Keith.
"Oh looks like your friends are here guess I can't hang out with you anymore."
"No hey! Don't leave!"
"Oh you want me to stay hmm~?"
"I mean 2 of our friends are dating each other...might as well umm treat each other as friends if you want....bad boy."
"eh why not no more secrets between my friends if we're friends with you guys Violet Eyes~"
"Cool"
"Cool"
"What's up 'Violet Eyes'"
"GAH! Pidge when did you get there!?"
"Ok I know I'm like kind of short or whatever, but I've been standing here for 7 minutes!" Pidge said with her brother and Roxy standing next to her.
"You're not short you're fun sized!" Roxy said and placed a kiss on the back of her head.
"Aww thanks!"
"Bleh. Too much cuteness around me." Matt said.
"Yeah I'm with you on that one." Lance agreed
"Hey guys! Uhh what'd I miss? Shiro looks like he got attacked by cuteness"
"Adam giggled" Keith replied.
"Oh the one with the phone number?"
"That's the one." Keith said.
"So who are we waiting for?" Matt asked.
"Uhm Josh and Shay two of my friends who I don't know if you've met"
"Oh he knows who Josh is~" Pidge teased.
"He's got a-" Matt elbowed Pidge in the shoulder.
"Ouch!"
"Shut up!"
"He's got a what?" They could hear a female voice ask.
"Pidge don't!"
"Hi! I'm Hunk."
"Hi I'm Shay!"
"Uhhhh Shay...."
"What Lance?"
"Your Uh string.."
"Holy shit Shay!" Roxy said
"Uhhh what's happening?" Keith asked.
"It's something related to soulmates..her red string"
"Let's just hmm ignore that" Shay said as she hid her string from those who could see it. Lance never liked showing his so he never knew if he already met his soulmate or not.
"Where's Josh?" Shay asked ignoring the conversation they just had.
"I mean I know he's usually 'not one to care' but this is weird even for him" Adam said while Shiro put his arm around Adam's shoulders. Adam leaned into the gesture.
"I'm not sure...."
