3rd Person POV:
Walking along the city streets under the shattered moon, Miyuki takes in the illumination provided by the various open establishments.
Miyuki: (thoughts) This view never ceases to amaze me.
Y/N: (thoughts) I'm glad you're enjoying it. Are you getting used to moving around like this?
Miyuki: (thoughts) Mhm. These night walks we started doing helped out quite a bit.
Y/N: (thoughts) I see. So, you're supposed to meet up with Monochrome tonight?
Miyuki: (thoughts) Yeah. Also, she told me to call her Mint for now on.
Y/N: (thoughts) Got it.
Miyuki: (thoughts) How are you feeling right now? I know having me in control makes you really tired.
Y/N: (thoughts) I'm fine. Just have fun with your friend.
Miyuki: (thoughts) Right.
Continuing onward, the trickster persona makes it over to the ice cream shop as Mint could be seen waiting at the entrance.
Miyuki: (approaching Mint) Sorry. I hope you didn't have to wait for me too long.
Mint: [Don't worry about it. I just got here a minute earlier.]
Miyuki: Still. You invited me out, so the least I could do is be here on time.
From there, Mint simply reaches over to give Miyuki a headpat.
Mint: [Let's head inside.]
Miyuki: (smiles) Okay.
The duo enter the ice cream shop, and head over to a table with their desired treats in hand.
Mint: [I've noticed that you've learned how to follow sign language better.]
Miyuki: Mmhm. I wanted to surprise you.
Mint: [Consider me surprised. I've been keeping it simple since we started your lessons for the past week.]
Miyuki: Hehe. So, is your job going well?
Mint: [Not really. My old boss got injured during the outbreak and we had to switch management.]
Miyuki: That sounds terrible. Is the new boss nice at least?
Mint: [Not at all. I'm gonna be 100% honest with you, the new boss is an absolute power-hungry bitch while my two other co-workers just follow really unreasonable orders in an attempt to suck up to her.]
Miyuki: I see. Are you feeling alright?
Mint: [I can tough it out.]
Miyuki: Is there anything I can do to help?
Mint: [Just relaxing here with you is more than enough.]
Miyuki: D-Do you wanna walk around for a bit?
Mint: [Walking around the city at this time is pretty dangerous, I wouldn't want you to get hurt.]
Miyuki: I won't. (makes a fist) I can handle it.
Mint: [I see.] (stands up) [Guess walking around wouldn't be so bad.]
Miyuki: Hehe.
Proceeding onward, both Mint and Miyuki take in a night walk around the city as the luminous street lights has them in awe.
Mint glances over to see the innocent gaze Miyuki has towards the bright display, and reaches over to place a hand on her cheek.
This action causes Miyuki to softly giggle as Mint returns a warm smile.
With that, the two continue onward as the stores are beginning to close for the night.
Mint: [I had fun.]
Miyuki: Me too. I think going out at night like this isn't too bad.
Mint: [Right. I'm surprised that you didn't want to get home quickly.]
Miyuki: Told you, I can handle it.
Mint: [Never going to doubt you again.]
Miyuki: Hmph.
Upon passing a dark alley way, Miyuki is pulled into it as Mint instantly notices and follows after.
Mint looks on in shock to see Miyuki is being held hostage by a mugger at gunpoint.
Mugger: Hand over all your Lien now!
Mint only narrows her slowly changing multi-colored eyes with a glare but hesitates to act until gazing at Miyuki, who doesn't have a single trace of fear in her blank expression.
Mugger: What are you deaf?! I said give me your fucking Lien!
Miyuki: I recommend you let me go.
Mugger: I'm the one making the recommendations, so keep quiet bitch! (tightens his grip)
With that, Miyuki responds with an elbow to the stomach as it causes the mugger to release his grasp. This allows his ex-hostage to create chains which proceed to wrap around the mugger and bind him to the ground.
Miyuki: Told you. (to Mint) Same goes for you.
The teasing joke is met with Mint, who now has multi-colored eyes instead of the usual Emerald Green.
Miyuki: Mint?
Not responding, the mute girl approaches the binded mugger and pulls out a familiar white and pink parasol as she goes for a killing blow in one move.
Miyuki: (stops the attack) What are you doing?!
Mint turns to glare at Miyuki, who rebuttals with a resolute expression as her chains dissolve.
Miyuki: (to Mugger) Harm anyone again, and you will lose this second chance.
Mugger: U-Understood.
Miyuki: Now leave.
Following the order, the mugger cowardly leaves the scene as a tense silence is all that remains between Mint and Miyuki.
Mint: [He was going to kill you]
Miyuki: The danger had already passed, there was no need to end his life.
Mint: [I could see it in his eyes, give it a week maybe even a day and he'll try to mug someone again]
Mint: [People like that don't learn a damn thing, it's better to give out a more permanent solution]
Miyuki: I understand that killing is a necessary option when it comes to certain situations, but that was not one of them.
Mint: [This world is kill or be killed, I've been exposed to that concept since my earliest memory]
Mint: [There is no other choice]
Miyuki: There is always a choice! I won't kill others just for my own convenience.
Miyuki: If I did that...the wounds will open.
Mint: [Wounds?]
Miyuki: (turns into Jester) All these wounds, I've been haboring them since my very existence and it had nearly consumed me with utter hatred.
Miyuki: I had thought spreading pain would put an end to mine, only for it to create more actors to scream it out louder than ever.
Miyuki: I choose to kill when necessary, otherwise the monster I was becoming will appear again.
Mint: [Everyone has that side waiting to be let out]
Mint: (turns into Neo) [Here is mine]
Miyuki: You!?
Neo: [I would like to see that side of you~]
Miyuki: (with a mixed expression) I...
Neo: [Come on, lower those restraints and let me see~]
With that request, Neo leans closer to see what the result will be as upon gazing at Miyuki a frightened expression causes the mute assassin to seemingly vanish from sight.
From there, Miyuki heads back to Beacon Academy in complete and utter silence.
Upon entering her dorm, the jester falls to her knees as Y/N materializes and promptly embraces her sister.
Y/N continues to hold the warm embrace as Miyuki could only weep into her chest throughout the rest of the night.
Next Day~
Waking up on her bed, Y/N looks around for Miyuki as she isn't sleeping at her side causing the teen to materialize within the mentalscape.
Y/N: Miyuki?
Miyuki: Over here!
Further out, the Jester comes running over as more noticable damage could be seen all over.
Y/N: You're hurt?
Miyuki: Huh? (blushing) T-This isn't anything bad! I was just doing some training and got a little carried away.
Y/N: (serious) Be honest.
Miyuki: I-It honestly doesn't hurt at all. Last night had me thinking, and I need to learn more about this world.
Miyuki: I've been too naive and that could lead us into dangerous situations.
Y/N: What happened last night wasn't your fault at all. (clenching her fists) Both of us got fooled by Neo.
Y/N: I should've been more cautious.
Miyuki: The same could be said for me too.
Y/N: Then let's make a promise. From now on, we'll look out for each other and continue to improve.
Miyuki: Right. And these blades will be a constant reminder. (creates twin blades)
Miyuki: I made these in order to become more useful to you.
Y/N: (downcast) You don't have to word it like that.
Miyuki: (fidgets) Force of habit.
Y/N: Mmm...
With that, the jester is pulled into a embrace.
Miyuki: Y-Y/N?
Y/N: Please don't say things like that, being useful or not doesn't matter to me. I want to be around you.
Y/N: Do you want to be around me?
Miyuki: O-Of course I do. I just wanna be a better sister to you.
Y/N: That's my line. Speaking of which, I just realized something.
Miyuki: Hmm?
Y/N: Happy birthday, Miyuki.
Miyuki: Huh? B-But isn't it supposed to be yours today?
Y/N: Can't we share it? (smiles) I stopped celebrating it since that day, but now it makes sense that we do something fun to make up for yesterday.
Miyuki: R-Right.
Y/N: Have any birthday wishes you want from me?
Miyuki: A wish?
Y/N: I'll do what I can to grant it.
Miyuki: I...I...(in jester mode) You tell me what your wish is first! I am your jester so granting wishes is another job that I must perform!
Y/N: ...
Miyuki: (normal) Please? I need a little more time to think about mine.
Y/N: (trying to contain the laughter) Y-You got it.
Miyuki: (pouting) Don't laugh.
Y/N: (calms down) Ok. For my birthday wish, I want you to call me big sister.
Miyuki: ...
Y/N: If you're ok with it.
Miyuki begins to blush deep red as multiple attempts fall flat as the words won't come out.
Y/N: You don't have to force it.
Miyuki: No, I can do it! (blushes harder) B-Big sister.
Y/N: Hehe. (hugs her) You are so cute!
Miyuki: Hmph. Now you have to do my wish.
Y/N: I'm ready.
Later the two sisters, are both seen walking around the city with warm smiles on their faces.
Miyuki: (flashback) Being out with my sister, that is the only wish I want granted.
