ALL RIGHTS TO SUZANNE COLLINS!!! 😝😝😝

Katniss' POV:

Okay yeah, Cato was the driving force of our "alliance", but he would've lost if I hadn't saved him from Foxface, which I believe was Clove. We would've been second if it wasn't for me. But the other part of why I must take the crown is because I need something to push me up the ranks and this is my opportunity. I will fight with everything that I have to get a better chance at winning those games and getting back to home and to Prim.

I didn't care if it was Cato Hadley or anyone else. I deserve this crown and I'm not going to give it away.

Cato's cold blue eyes were fixated on mine. I raised an eyebrow as if asking him what we were going to do with the crown and see if he would be willing to let go of it. But how silly of me to assume that Cato would ever put anything before himself. He glared me and I understood he wanted the crown.

"I think that we would both agree that I should take it." Cato's voice sounded in the big hall.

"And why so?" I cocked an eyebrow, just the way he does and I could see that Snow's smile grew larger.

Of course, I knew that it wasn't an accident. President Snow wanted to "spice things up" as it was obvious that there were some tensions between us.

"Because you wouldn't have lasted a second without me in there," Cato said with a pissed voice and a quiet "ooo" sounded from the crowd of tributes. I glared at the career and he straightened himself, trying to seem superior.

He was so simple. Always be the best and show the others that you are. That was the only principle that the brute from 2 was following.

"And you would've been 'dead' from Foxface's sword" I spit back and he growled quietly.

Just when Cato was about to open his mouth and come up with another insult, the back doors opened again and a peacekeeper came in, another silver box in his hands.

"It appears that the mistake has been fixed!" President Snow's voice boomed again.

Good. Because I wasn't in the mood of getting into a heated argument with the leader of the careers.

We waited patiently for the peacekeeper to hand the second crown to President Snow. As soon as President Snow got the crown, he raised both or them and shouted again.

"I announce the victors of this tournament!" and with that, he placed the first crown on Cato's head which made him smile like crazy. Chill dude, the order doesn't matter.

"Cato Hadley from district 2" his words were followed by applause from the tributes. Snow then turned to me, gently placing the silver crown over my brown curls.

"And Katniss Everdeen from district 12" a few claps came from the crowd of tributes, but far less than what Cato received. I don't care as long as he doesn't come bragging about it.

After this small ceremony, we were sent back down where the rest of the tributes were and President Snow made his last announcement:

"Tributes please proceed to your apartments now! Tomorrow will be your last training day before your personal examinations so have a good sleep!" he finished and dismissed us. Yeah Snow, pretend like you care about us and our sleep when you're about to throw us in an arena to fight to the death.

But I did want to go to sleep. However, there was one thing that I had to do before that.

Remember me totally hating Cato? Yeah? And me wanting revenge? Yeah... And now I want that revenge even more?
Oh, and do you remember that thing that I planned with Clove? Yeah, our plan to get revenge on the blue-eyed career.

I mean it's not even revenge, I'm sure he will absolutely love all his clothes turning bright pink!

                                                  *******************************************

As I was exiting the Grand Hall, I caught Clove's gaze. She nodded slightly in my direction and then continued talking to Cato. I took that as a sign that our plan was in motion

I suppose she was going to distract Cato and give him the sleeping pill. I just have to find pink dye and sneak into his apartment early tomorrow morning and dye his clothes together with Clove.

Now, where am I going to get pink dye from? I'm pretty sure that the Capitol must have plenty of these, looking at all the extravagant clothing that the Capitol people were wearing.

As I was walking towards my apartment, I noticed a shadow slowly approaching. I quickly turned around to see who was standing by my side: Peeta.

"Oh, hey." I managed to say, somehow relieved that it wasn't Cato or another career.

"Good job for winning first place!" he congratulated me.

"Thank you," I replied, trying to cut the conversation short as I wanted to focus on my plan.

"By the way, I was the blue-haired guy that you fought in the first battle. Too bad that we lost."

"Oh really? How interesting." I replied, too buried in my own thoughts.

"My partner was Glimmer" he continued unbothered that I wasn't paying the slightest attention to him. However, this time I raised my head.

"I don't know if you know her. A tall, blond-haired girl from district-" he said, but I interrupted him.

"1," I said "yeah, I think I know her." a bit too well actually.

"Oh yeah? That's cool. She's pretty nice." Peeta let out and my eyes widened. Glitter? Nice? I'm pretty sure those two words cannot exist in a single sentence.

"Yeah, except that she wants to behead me" I shrugged and Peeta turned to me, a surprised look on his face.

"What?"

"Yeah, I have this absolutely amazing talent to make everybody hate me."  after this statement, silence followed. Peeta and I headed out to the elevator. Once in there, I prayed silently that no other tribute joins us and fortunately for me, God heard my prayers.

As the elevator was going up, I decided to ask Peeta about the pink dye.

"Hey Peeta, um, I have a really random question but, do you know where I can get pink dye from?"

"Pink dye?" he asked surprised.

"Don't ask questions, I just really need some."

"Umm, I don't know? Maybe ask Effie, I'm sure she must know," he suggested and I nodded slightly.

When the elevator doors opened, I hurried to our apartment in search of Effie, but as soon as I walked in confetti burst in my face.

"CONGRATULATION TO MY CHAMPION!" Effie's squeak pierced my ears. I was still startled from the confetti and I just looked around with eyes wide open.

"You scared the poor girl, Effie," Haymitch said, walking slowly towards us. I noticed that Cinna was sitting on the couch, proudly looking at me.

Oh well at least I did something- make them proud. And probably my mom and Prim, and Gale.

"And OH-MY and you have a silver crown! Let me see it!" she squeaked again and reached for my crown, taking it from my head so quickly that she pulled a few of my brown hairs from head.

"Ouch" I let out involuntarily.

"Calm down Effie, Katniss needs to rest" Cinna yelled from across the room.

"Yes, yes, of course! Oh, how silly of me! Katniss, dear, sit down!" she urged me to sit down on the couch next to Cinna. That's when I noticed that Peeta was awkwardly standing in the back of the room.

"But Peeta did really good too!" I tried to turn the attention over to Peeta.

"But not as good as you," he said monotony.

"But you still did really good" I continued trying.

"I got cut in the first round" he continued his tone darkening.

"But you fought really good it's just that-" I tried to make him feel better, but he cut me.

"You were far better? Yeah, I know. Just... enjoy your victory," he said coldly and rushed the stairs, towards his room.

I tried to say something, but I was cut by Haymitch.

"Leave him, it's normal for him to act that way," I turned to him and slightly narrowed my eyes, "I mean there's only one person coming out of these games alive," he said and my look darkened. It was true. You shouldn't get attached Katniss. You shouldn't try to make Peeta feel better about himself, instead, you should try to put him down, in order to have less competition. You shouldn't try to make friends. Only allies. That you would be ready to backstab, even literally, at any moment.  And right now you are not going to be able to kill Peeta even if your life depended on it. And that has to change in a couple of days because then the real games begin.

I took a deep breath.

"You okay, sweetheart?" Haymitch asked.

"Yeah, I'm feeling great." I lied and shook my head trying to get those thoughts to leave my head. Instead, I focused back on Clove and I's plan to get revenge on the brute from 2. At least that would be fun. I just needed some... positive energy, something to laugh about and someone to laugh with, with all those stressful things going on around me.

"Effie do you have pink dye?" I suddenly asked, completely changing the topic of discussion. Haymitch and Cinna looked at me as if I had 2 heads and for a second I could see that they thought I had become mental.

"Oh you don't say!" she squeaked in a so high-pitched voice that I'm sure that all glass windows broke in a 3-mile radius.

"Dear, this tournament has changed you for the best! What do you need the pink dye for, sugar?" she asked, more excited than even I was.

"Oh nothing, I'm just trying out something new." I shrugged, not wanting to reveal my true intentions.

"I see, I see, come with my honey, I will take you to my PERSONAL STORE!" she yelled again and Haymitch and Cinna had to hold their hands over their ears in order for them to remain intact. I wanted to do the same thing, but out of politeness since I really needed that dye, I didn't, praying that I could still hear from at least one of my ears.

Effie rushed through the door, sidestepping and jumping like a little kid and I firmly followed her. As I exited, I turned around to close the door and Haymitch rose a toast my way, both a congratulation for my performance on the tournament and a "good luck" with Effie. I smiled uneasily and closed the door behind me.

I hurried towards the elevator where Effie was waiting for me impatiently. Once the elevator doors closed Effie couldn't hold her excitement anymore.

"So what do you want to dye for hair? Clothes? Shoes? Pink? What pink? Baby pink, or barbie pink or strawberry, rose, coral, magenta or-" she listed and listed so fast that I couldn't keep up.

"Hold up, hold up!" I interrupted her and shut up. Thank god. "Bright pink, for clothes." I managed to state.

"Oh okay great!" she said as the elevator doors opened. We were at a place I didn't even know existed. It was... below the "ground level". Is this a place where only Capitol people are allowed to go?

"This way cupcake!" Effie urged me as she noticed that I was examining the place instead of following her.

I pulled myself from my observations and hurried behind the Capitol woman.

After a few minutes of walking between what seemed as endless corridors, we reached a bright pink door, decorated with thousands of blue, white, purple and orange flowers. I didn't have to ask to know who's door this was.

"Welcome to my store of supplies!" Effie presented, apparently extremely proud of her decorations.

I smiled as sincerely as I could, but the thought of how much money was put just into decorating a simple door and how this money could be spent to save at least 10 children from dying of starvation just made me sick.

Effie pulled out a purple key in the form of a butterfly, decorated with plush by its sides and used it to unlock the door.

As soon as I walked in, the light blinded me. When my eyes accustomed to the light, however, I realized how big this store was! It was the size of the apartment, except it has no beds, couches, tables or TVs. Just hundreds of wigs, paint, nail polish, dye, lipstick, makeup, clothes, fabric and many more things that I just didn't have the time to look at or simply didn't know what they were.

By the time that I had finished staring at the immense room, Effie was already searching for the pink dye through her supplies.

"Oh here!!!" she squeaked again and I silently cursed under my breath for her squeaks were always catching me off guard.

I quickly walked over to her, curious and impatient to get my revenge on Hadley.

Effie had pulled a drawer with at least 30 different types of pink dye. I looked through them carefully, trying to choose which one would drive Hadley the most insane.

Finally, I chose the bottle labeled as "hot pink". I think that Cato would fall in love with his new clothes. Thank god he has such amazing designers like Clove and I.

I thanked Effie and gave her a hug, her eyes practically glowing with happiness. How little it takes to satisfy someone... from the Capitol. Strange, really.

I began to walk back towards the exit of the store when I realized Effie wasn't following me.

"You coming?" I asked.

"No, you go, I have to choose a new wig," she said deep in thoughts, an azure-blue wig in her left hand and an orange-pinkish one in her right hand.

I nodded in her direction, but I doubt she noticed it and began to walk towards the elevator. I just hope I won't get lost in this... maze.

After a few minutes of walking, fortunately for me, I reached the elevator. Okay good, I did at least one thing right. Now let's hope that our plan will run smoothly.

When I reached my apartment, I head straight for my bedroom, but a hand grabbed my shoulder.

I quickly turned around, ready to elbow my assailant.

"Calm down sweetheart," Haymitch said in my face and my muscles relaxed.

"Oh, it's you," I said relieved.

"You should be more excited to see your favorite mentor," he stated and laughed slightly. His breath didn't smell like alcohol for the first time.

"You mean my only mentor?" I asked, crossing my arms over my chest. Haymitch laughed again.

"Fair point, fair point." he said and I smiled too, "But that's not what I wanted to talk to you about. How's the plan of joining the careers going?" he asked, suddenly his face becoming more serious.

Oh. Right. That.

I mean I don't know. Not really good if you take into consideration that Glimmer wanted to strangle me, Clove was trying to make me fall her trap and Cato secretly hated me and will hate me even more now that I prank him. But I don't care anymore. Not like I'm going to form a forever-lasting friendship with any of them in the time period of 1 week and in the circumstances of the Hunger Games.

"Well, I can't become friends with them! They hate me!" I said and Haymitch shook his head again.

"I'm not asking you to be friends with them, but become allies!"

"But Haymitch they are going to kill me as soon as the games begin! I'm one of their biggest threats!"

"That is exactly why they would want to keep you close Katniss! Listen, they know you're a threat and you know that you're a threat to them too. If you don't ally with them, you will be the first one they will be hunting down. But if they have you close to them they won't worry about you and the time they decide to kill you, you would've already killed them. They will keep you at the beginning of the game for sure and they will protect you. You will not only get supplies, but you will the career pack backing you up, thus guaranteeing your survival of the first, deadliest minutes of the Hunger Games." he finished. He was right. I may hate them and they may hate me all they want, but they would want me close. And I want survival.

Now I just have to find a way to get into the pack. That means stop pissing the careers off. I have to drop my plan.

"Guess I will drop my revenge plan then" I mumbled my thoughts aloud.

"What?" Haymitch asked.

"Oh, I said that out loud, sorry."

"What revenge plan?" he continued questioning me.

"Oh nothing, just Clove and I came up with this plan to get revenge on Cato"

"Clove and Cato the tributes from 2?" he questioned and I nodded. "What was the plan?"

"Clove and I were going to dye all of his clothes pink," I said and I couldn't help but smile at the idea of a confused Cato walking into the training grounds with bright pink clothes.

"It's great that you're already bonding with Clove! I heard she's fierce"

"A bit of sociopath really, but she's cool" I shrugged.

"Why are you dropping the plan?" Haymitch interrogated.

"Oh well because I don't want to piss the careers further. I mean they already hate me and pissing off the leader of the careers, even more, isn't really going to help me get into their career pack..." I said.

"So what are you planning to do? Go and ask him nicely? Excuse me, Mr. Hadley, is there a way you could review my application for entering the career pack? Heck no! Cato's a man of power and dominance, show him you're a fighter, that you have fire!"

Oh, believe me, I've shown him enough fire.

"Really? Because I've been doing this lately and he just seems to hate me more."

"He feels slightly threatened, I mean you stood up to him, didn't you?"

"Well, yeah..."

"There are not a lot of people that have done the same and lived to tell about it. Just keep on trying to enter the career pack, show that you're a fighter, but don't piss the careers off, just give them something to desire."

With those last words, he let go of me and walked down the stairs.

Thank you very much Haymitch, piss them, but don't piss them. Yeah because I totally know how to do that.

How do I show spirit and fire, but not piss Cato off a lot more than now? Should I drop the plan? But then Clove would think I don't have the guts, that I'm weak and drop things easily. Which is not who I am at all. Believe me, I want to see Cato's face more than anyone else, but I don't want to piss him off even more. No, I correct myself, I do want to piss him because he's fun to mess with, but my right mind doesn't want to because she knows the consequences.

But you know what?

Fuck it.

There may be all those outside factors, but a few things are clear to me: I'm losing Clove's vote, I seem like a weakling, I show that I'm a nobody again.

And I am somebody.

I'm already dead anyway.

My fingers clicked harder around the bottle of cloth dye.

I'm doing it. I don't care anymore. If I piss Cato, then even better.

I got to my room and quickly showered.

I'm not hungry enough to eat dinner, so I sneaked under my warm covers and reviewed the plan quickly.

So tonight Clove will give a sleeping pill to Cato so that he can fall into a deep sleep. The next morning I will wake up earlier and go to Cato's and Clove's apartment. Clove will open the door for me and once inside, we will dye all of Cato's clothes in hot pink. I will quickly go back to my room after.
Then Clove and I are both going to get ready and Clove will wake up Cato at 7:55 as training starts 8. Cato will not have time to get new clothes and will have to wear something from his wardrobe... which was colored in hot pink.

With that last thought, I smiled to myself and fell asleep, but not before remembering to set my alarm for tomorrow morning at 5 o'clock.

                                                        *******************************************

RING RING RING

It's time for another agonizing day, isn't it?

I slowly opened one of my eyes and looked around, as if hoping that everything had been a dream and that I would wake up next to Prim.

But no.

It wasn't a dream. Damnit.

I let out a growl as a stood up on the bed.

But this day is supposed to be better than the others.

Because I get to get my revenge on the famous Cato Hadley.

This thought brightened my mood and I got dressed quickly. I had put the dye right next to my bed, as if afraid that I will lose it. Thankfully, it was still on the drawer that I put it on.

I picked it up and quietly opened the door.

I tip-toed to the corridor, then the living room and finally reached the door. Okay Katniss, you got this.

I sneaked silently like a shadow in the elevator and pressed button number 2. That was the district they were from right or it wasn't? Yes, yes of course. Katniss, you're becoming paranoid, just chill out.

As soon as the elevator doors opened, I took a deep breath and quietly searched for Cato's apartment. There were two doors on the level. They both look the same though! How am I supposed to figure out which is one is for Cato's and Clove's apartment and which is for the mentors' section?!

I walked up and down, trying to spot any differences, but they were both metal would a shiny golden ornament saying "2".

Maybe I should knock on one? But what if it's the wrong one? What if it's the mentors'? Then they will spot me! Oh, I can just say I was sleepwalking. Okay, that sounds like an excuse. I really hope they buy into it. But then I would have to drop the whole plan, damnit.

Oh well, I don't really have any other options, sooo...

I believe that the tributes' apartments are behind the left door because this is how my and Peeta's apartments are.

Okay, so the left door it is. I took a deep breath and brought my knuckles to the metal door.

Knock

Knock

Dead silence followed. I felt my palms beginning to sweat. Was it the right door? Of course, it wasn't I'm screwed! Maybe I should just leave quickly and they won't notice? Can I make a run to the elevator or is it too late?

Just as I was about to sprint towards the elevator, a slight shift in the door drew my attention back to it.

Somebody slowly opened the door and I prayed from the bottom of my heart that it wasn't the fierce Enobaria or the undefeatable Brutus. They both seemed so strong, powerful and scary. Nothing like Haymitch. He was just a leftover, some junk left after the games.

The small brown haired girl that opened the door smiled at me and I let out a sigh of relief. It was Clove. Thank god.

"He's asleep?" I asked to make sure.

"Like a log" She responded, a small smile appearing on her thin lips. "You got the dye?" She then asked and I lifted the pink bottle higher up. Once she saw it and its color her small smile turned into a large grin.

She invited me to come inside. I expected their apartment to be a lot fancier than ours, but surprisingly they were all the same. I even remember Effie telling us that we even got to eat dessert, while they didn't. Not that it mattered, we were dead with and without the dessert. But it still feels good to know you have something more than those kids that have grown in luxury and are probably going to win this year's hunger games.

"This way" she whispered as she had realized that I've dozed off a bit, looking around. I came back to my senses and firmly followed her to what I suppose was Cato's bedroom.

"I think it would be safer if we got the clothes out of the room and dye them outside of the room so that any of the sounds can't wake him up" I suggested and Clove nodded, going inside to grab all of Cato's clothes.

I went in too and took the rest of the clothes that she was unable to. We took them to the living room and put them on the couch. We sat down and I pulled out the dye.

"So you know how to do this?" I asked her and she looked at me.

"Of course, it's not like it's the first I've ever used dye," she said and chuckled. I looked at her and blinked twice. Oh, yeah, right, she doesn't come from a background of death, fear, and starvation.

"Oh, of-of course" I answered looking down as if ashamed of the background that I came from. Clove looked at me for a second and then her eyes widened.

"Oh" she managed to let out, but nothing followed after. After a brief pause, I spoke again.

"Why do you want to get revenge on Hadley so badly?"

"Because he's an annoying little shit?" she answered back and I chuckled, but immediately stopped myself after Clove shushed me.

"No, but actually," I said.

"No I'm serious" she laughed, but then continued "Recently he's just been annoying. More than usual at least. He was teasing me with Marvel, acts like he's the boss of everyone. And he beat me in that competition which I am also angry about." she said and I blushed knowing that I was the one who killed her partner causing them to lose.

"Actually," she said thinking. Ah shit, she remembers. "It was you who killed Marvel, wasn't it?" she asked and I didn't know how to answer. Suddenly I felt really nervous. It was obvious that Clove was mentally unstable, what if she actually gets mad about me ruining her chance to win? She seemed pretty mad during the tournament because she started screaming and tried to stab Cato even after the competition was over. I'm in her apartment, she can kill me right now if she wanted to. My palms began to sweat as I struggled to answer.

"Umm- I, I don't know"

"A blonde with curls?"

"Yeah that was probably me," I said and got ready to run out of the door if Clove tried to attack me.

"Cool" was all she said as she took the bottle of dye from my hands and began to shake it. Just as I thought she was going to keep steady, she pushed the cap of the bottle and sprayed my shirt.

"HEY!" I yelled, quickly standing up.

"That's for stealing the spotlight girl on fire," she said and then pulled out a knife out of her pocket, my eyes widening and my breaths speeding up. I closed my eyes, afraid of what will follow. Instead, I felt the blade into my palm. She was giving it to me

"And that's because you're chill," she said and I sighed. Okay, she wasn't going to kill me. But now I have a pink line on the side of my shirt. It's not very visible though, so I thought no one would notice. I will change the shirt anyway, so it's fine.

"Why do you?" she asked after a while.

"Do I what?" I raised an eyebrow.

"Want to get revenge on him?" she said and I opened my mouth to say something, but no words came out. Why did I? A lot of things made me want to kick him, slap him and just tear him to shreds. He was just so- so- annoying. I don't even know what it is about him that irritated me, but he drove me out of the rails. This arrogant, full of himself, bossy attitude is just frustrating me and his smirk, OH THIS SMIRK. I can see it from miles away and whenever I see it coming in my direction I just want to sink into the ground and never come out again.

It just seemed as if his overall behavior was specifically designed to get on every single one of my nerves.

"Everything he does just pisses me off. He always thinks he's the best, but frankly, he isn't" I began and Clove immediately joined in.

"I know right! It's so annoying!"

"And then he always thinks he can do whatever he wants and I just want to show him he doesn't control everything and everybody" And you can't just kiss me 3 times! Unpunished. You're not the boss of everyone. But I didn't say this out loud of course.

"I totally understand. Let's show him he can't mess with everybody" Clove said and winked, making me chuckle once again.

No real talk followed after this, just some comment then and there, but we were both too focused on dying every single part of every single shirt, trousers, uniform, jacket, etc that there was.

But it was finally done. Everything. Hot pink wherever you look. We both grinned and looked at each other, then at the, now pink, pile of clothes, and then back to each other.

"What time is it?" I suddenly asked her. Clove just shook her head slightly, telling me she had no idea and stood up to take a glance at the clock.

"It's 7:40!" she almost yelled and I jumped from the couch.

"WHAT?!" I screamed.

"DON'T YELL!" She screamed back.

"YOU'RE YELLING!" I yelled at her and then shut up. She shut her mouth too and we stood in silence for a few moments, carefully listening for any suspicious sounds and hoping that we hadn't woken up Cato.

"You heard me, it's 7:40, I guess this thing took more time. It's crazy, isn't it? How fast time flies when you're getting revenge on someone" she said and smiled in this weird way that sent shivers down my spine.

"Yeah" I managed to mumble and quickly got off the couch. "I have to go a get ready quickly, I hope my mentor hasn't noticed anything"

"Haymitch? That drunk? No way in hell, he's probably wasted again" Clove responded, but the disgust in her voice frustrated me. After all, he was like that for a reason, but she would never get it because they have it easy. But whatever, I really have to go now.

"Just don't forget to wake up Hadley at 7:55" I stated and Clove nodded in my direction before the big, heavy metal door closed behind me.

I sprinted towards the elevator, afraid that one of the mentors would open their door at the exact moment that I came out. Paranoia, I know. But I can't help it. I pressed the button "12" multiple times until the elevator doors finally closed, leaving me with a sigh of relief.

I quickly rushed inside my apartment, but once I came in, closed the door behind me and turned around, I realized that everyone was sitting around the large table and eating breakfast. I stayed frozen as their heads turned to me.

"Katniss! Where were you? When I went to wake you up, I realized that you were missing!" Peeta exclaimed.

"Oh, I just woke up earlier and went outside for some fresh air" I lied, trying to sound as convincing as possible.

"Or she went to train with the leader of the Careers" Haymitch mumbled while biting into a fresh apple. Peeta turned around surprised, but Effie continued to eat as if she didn't hear anything. And maybe she didn't. But Haymitch's "mumbling" wasn't as quiet as it should've been.
I glared at Haymitch, but he continued to eat his apple, completely unbothered.

What are you doing Haymitch? You know damn well about the revenge. Why do you have to give away my secrets to Peeta?! Oh yeah, maybe because you believe he would win. To be honest, I wouldn't bet on myself either, but whatever.

"It's 7:45 dear, so you better hurry up" Effie added and I quickly rushed to the table. I tried to eat as quickly as possible and go upstairs, but I didn't have enough time. Only to brush my teeth and I had to get going because it was 7:58.

As Peeta and I went down the elevator, I realized that I didn't have time to change my shirt and it was still sprayed with hot pink dye on the side. I hope my arm will be able to cover it.

We walked into the training center at 8:00 exactly. I realized that all tributes were already there except the tributes from 2: Cato and Clove.

Cato is probably trying to wash away the dye or is beating up Clove. Well, we shall wait to see.

Atala gathered us again, congratulated Cato and me for winning the competition, reminded us again about where all the stations were situated at and then dismissed us.

Just when I went over to the rope climbing station, someone burst into the training grounds so violently that the doors almost fell off. I quickly turned my head around and so did all tributes as well as the game makers.

Clove was running. No. She wasn't only running. She was running away from something. Someone. A few seconds after, an enraged Cato ran through the doors, screaming. All of his clothes were hot pink, that pink that could be seen from miles away. The tributes were really confused. Nobody knew whether to laugh at the ridiculously looking Cato or shiver at the dangerousness of the leader of the careers.

"CLOVE GET YOUR ASS HERE RIGHT NOW!" Cato's raging voice echoed through the training center. I involuntarily shivered knowing that Cato had taken this pretty badly and that I was involved in it just as much as Clove was. Heck, even more, because I gave the idea and provided the dye.

Everybody in the big room witnessed Cato chasing Clove like a lion chasing a gazelle.

Clove came to my net and quickly started climbing. I was already halfway through, but as soon as Clove started climbing it urgently, it made it flip and I almost fell off it, my heart pounding in my chest. Cato was right under us and he was yelling.

"CLOVE I SWEAR TO GO IF YOU DON'T GET YOUR ASS HERE IN 10 SECONDS I WILL KILL YOU ON THE SPOT!"

Why weren't the peacekeepers doing anything? I understand why none of the tributes were doing anything- because they were hella scared of Cato Hadley. But the peacekeepers shouldn't be! I mean they were supposed to make sure there was no fighting in the training center! But it's the game makers that control everything. I think they know that Cato and Clove are best friends since their mentors were telling it to everyone in order to raise the drama and make the tributes from district 2 an interesting topic. Maybe the game makers were interested in what was going to happen?

I have no idea what it is, but all I knew was that I was involved and I didn't like it.

"IT WASN'T ME, I SWEAR!" Clove yelled back from the top of the net that we had managed to turn back around.

"THE HELL WITH YOUR LIES, GET DOWN HERE AND FACE YOUR CONSEQUENCES, I'M COUNTING TO 10!" Cato yelled again, but it was hard for me to take in what was going on because his anger and dangerous vibe didn't match his bubbly, pink look.

"YOU'RE NOT MAKING ANY SENSE! WHY WOULD I DO IT?!" she yelled back desperately, but Cato didn't want to listen. All tributes, peacekeepers and game makers were staring at them.

"1!" Cato's yell pierced the ears of all tributes.

"CATO THINK A BIT FOR GOD'S SAKE!"

"2!"

"CATO IT WASN'T ME I SWEAR!"

"3!"

"He's gonna kill me, he's gonna kill me, he's gonna kill me" Clove started mumbling and this was the first time that I've seen the sassy sociopath be scared of something.

"4!'

"CATO STOP!" Clove pleaded. She looked really pathetic and she realized it, but she couldn't do anything about it. Her reputation was so going to fall after this scene. Cato's really angry too, I shouldn't have done this.

"5!"

I have to stop it, it's my fault after all.

"6!"

I had this idea, I brought the dye, I have to rake responsibility.

"7! IF YOU DON'T COME DOWN I'M GOING TO COME FOR YOU!" Cato yelled even louder and some tributes had to put their hands over their ears to block the agonizing sound.

I'm already dead anyway, what bad can it bring me? He can't do anything to me now, the peacekeepers will stop him. He will kill me in the arena, but I already knew that, didn't I?

"8!" Clove was standing on the net, her hands covering her head, mumbling over and over again "He's gonna kill me, he's gonna kill me"

"9!"

Okay, I'm playing it cool. You know what? I don't even care anymore because I deserve my revenge. I'm not scared of some spoiled bastard. I've fought too hard in my life to be scared of a little shit like him.

I jumped off the net and everyone's attention turned to me, Clove's eyes widened, Cato shut up for once and Seneca Crane, the head game maker, leaned back into his chair observing me carefully. They want a show? I will give them one.

"Nice clothes you got there, princess"

-----------------------------------------------

Sooo, I'm back!👋🏻 A bit of an update! I know I didn't update for a long time, but I had my reasons. Finals were coming up and I had to travel for MUN. So I got all As in everything except PE, but nobody cares about that. Also, I did really good at MUN and won a trophy 🏆. So yeah, I'm flexing.
I just wanted to explain why I didn't have much time to write.⏰

However, I hope that with this long chapter, I compensated for the fact that it took me longer to update. You can look at it as if I updated twice, instead of once because the chapter is longer.👌🏻

Also, my birthday is coming up (15/12) and so I will be busy organizing it and holidays are coming, the next update will take longer. I will try to make a longer chapter again though! Thanks for understanding💞

Anyways, I hope you enjoy it and have a nice dayyy❤️

💋Next release date: 29/12/19💋

😻Thank you all for taking a bit of your time to read my 26th chapter!😻

🤩Comment what you think and how I can improve it! I'm open to your ideas!🤩

👍Don't forget to vote on your favorite chapters!👍
