"Mommy! Mommy!"
I smiled warmly upon hearing a small little boy calling out for his mother.
I myself was too young to be a mother, but that wasn't the only problem.
I didn't even have a boyfriend.
"Mommy, mommy! Mommy, why are you ignoring me?"
Confused about the behavior of this the child's mother I turned around to face the situation when I felt something tug at my jeans.
"Mommy! You finally turned around! Can I get an ice cream? Pleeeaaase!"
"... Eh?"
... Did this boy actually think I was his mother?
"Wait wait wait- I'm not your mother!"
"Can you please be my mother?", he pouted, tears already dwelling in his eyes.
"A-Alright, please don't cry! L-Let's go find your father first, okay?"
I was sure that he would lead me to his actual father and I could deliver him, but I was wrong - I immediately regretted my offer to him.
The small boy dragged me along with him, now tugging on my sleeve, and brought me to the large water fountain in the middle of the shopping center.
'If I knew this would happen I would have never come to the shopping center today, ugh...', I thought to myself, sighing in frustration.
As the little one came to an halt, I was already relieved that he found some other stranger to play family with, but as I looked up I gazed into a beautiful pair of shining, violet orbs.
I couldn't tear my gaze away.
His eyes were enticing, magical even.
"Uhm... Hey, can I help you with something?", he smiled friendly, his eyes seemingly shining even brighter.
"Uhm-"
"Can you please be my daddy?"
I almost wheezed out the coffee I was drinking.
"Eh-?"
"I'm so sorry-"
I threw the child a blaming look and tried to explain the situation to the tall, handsome male as detailed as possible.
"You see- I was just standing over there, enjoying my free time when this boy walked up to me and tugged at my jeans. I didn't notice him at first, but when I turned around he suddenly asked me to be his mother! I was conflicted but decided to go along with it since I couldn't leave him on his own, and then he brought me to you, and... Well... Now we're here."
Sweat-dropping, I scratched my neck and waited for a reaction of the -probably- elder male.
He seemed to be thinking about it for a moment before he crouched down, putting on that wonderful smile again.
"Hey boy. What's your name?"
"Aki!"
"A great name. I'm Shima. And you are-?"
"Oh. I'm (Y/N)."
Giving me an eyes-closed smile he turned his attention to Aki again.
"Will you be my father now? Pleeeaaase!"
"Well..."
He switched between looking at the child and me before he decided.
"Sure, why not?"
"Eh? Do I get a say in this, too, or...?"
"Nope."
"Okay. Cool, I guess."
"Yeeey! Mami, Papi, I want ice cream!"
Shima took Aki by the hand, never losing his smile and composure, and walked straight towards the ice cream vendor.
I sighed again, quickly following them.

"Thanks, dad!"
"No prob. Did you like it, (Y/N)-san?"
"Huh? Oh, sure..."
"You don't seem too happy... Is something the matter, if I may ask?"
"I'm just a bit overwhelmed by all this, nothing else."
"Just think of it as a little funny waste of time."
Sure, I'd always waste my time by pretending to be married to a complete stranger and even have a child with him!
Though I have to say...
Shima would make a great dad.
I glanced over at the males, smiling at their heartwarming interactions.
'He's so nice to him... He really know how to handle children, huh? And he's been so nice to me, too...'
"(Y/N)-san, can I-"
Just as he was about to ask me something, he was interrupted by a shrill yelling and footsteps approaching at a fast speed.
"Akiiiiiiii! Where have you been, you ungrateful child!? Ahhh, mommy missed you so muchies!!"
"Mommy!!"
I couldn't help but cringe at the woman's behavior and Shima seemed to have the same struggles as he was trying his best to resist the urge to puke.
"Mommy, these humans were my parents while you left me alone!"
"Wha- How could you abduct my one and only son!?"
"Abdu-?"
"You'll hear from my lawyer!!"
"Wha-"
The woman stomped off, swaying her hips with every step, leaving us confused and dumbfounded.
We turned our head, looking at each other - And broke into exaggarated laughter.
The whole situation just now was so hilarious that we couldn't hold back our wheezing, almost choking down our laughs.
When we calmed down, we wiped our tears that built due to the hilariousity.
"Well, that was that."
"Couldn't have said it any better, haha."tha
"Say, (Y/N)... What I wanted to ask you before I got interrupted."
"Y-Yes?"
For no reason at all I suddenly got nervous, so much that my hands started sweating.
"Do you have a boyfriend by any chance?"
"No...?", I replied with a slight blush forming on my cheeks.
Why was he asking that all of a sudden...!?
"Then, how about I take you out on a actual date then?"
My cheeks flushed a bright red as I stood there, shocked to my bones.

Back then, I would have never imagined that I'd meet my awesome and loving husband at a shopping center while actually pretending to be the parents of another pair's son.
I'm happy everything turned out this way, though.
"Honey? Where's the milk bottle?"
"Right behind you, Shima.", I chuckled at my husband's dumbness.
"Oh, you're right! Thanks, babe."
He gave me a quick peck on the cheek before preparing to leave.
"I'll take him to work today so you relax for once, alright?"
"Yes. Thank you, Shima."
"Everything for you. Okay, see you later! Have fun!"
"Thanks, you too! Don't kill our son!"
"That would only happen to Sakata or Mafu."
Laughing, I closed the door behind him as they left and went straight back into the living room, taking a seat on the comfortable couch.
It was my day off but I already missed the two most important males in my life.
At least like these the only thing I could think of, was-
I couldn't thank Aki enough.
