Have you been to a carnvial? Admist the variety of rides at different carnivals, there's one ride that is always there. Sitting proudly on a plot of land, glittering with all it's glory, is a carousel.
Our lives are just like this ride.
You go through the same repeating cycle everyday. Waking up, school or work, relax, sleep. Round and round, up and down, just like a horse on the merry-go-round.
You try to attain the unreachable.
Like friends or someone who will understand you.
But then again, we are all individual horses on the carousel of life. Spinning round and round, unable to achieve anything. Watching helplessly as the horses in front of you remain so close yet so far away.
You can't reach them.
Never.
Soon, you start to accept this. And everyone calls you cold.
So you try to reach out again.
Only to come to the same conclusion.
Then what's the point of this endless chasing?
Because even when the lights to the ride dim, and the horses all slow down, you are still unable to reach the horses around you. You are still alone in this world.
