will hears a knock on his door an hour after getting home from school. will gets up from his desk to go check who's at the door. will skips happily to the door, thinking it's mike.
– "cominggg!" will runs to the door. he opens to see max.
– "oh hey max!" will smiles
– "hi will" max smiles back
– "can i help you..?"
– "uhm.. i wanna tell you something.. something I've never told anyone before. something I've felt for a long time and I wanna tell you because you'll understand"
– "oh okay! lets go to my room to talk okay?"
they both walk into wills bedroom and sit on the bed.
– "alright.. what's up?" will says
– "okay.. so.. basically.. f-for a w-while.. ive been confused about who i am but i finally figured myself out. everytime i see you with mike, i get j-jealous. not because of mike because i don't like him" max laughs
– "okay good because that's my baby" will and max laugh together.
– "so.. i get jealous because.. i d-don't want to be with lucas.."
– "oh.. then who do you wanna be with?"
– "uhmm.. a girl"

– "oh my god! eleven is my old best friend! eleven was my best friend when we were little! sadly we drifted apart after she moved schools! but she never told me she moved back!"
– "what! that's crazy!" max gasps
– "yeah! and maybe she can join our friend group!"
– "will! that will be torture! having to be friends with someone that i like.."
– "well you haven't asked her anyth- wait have you even talked to her?"

– "look, tomorrow I'll introduce her to everyone and we'll see what goes from there and maybe she'll want to join our friend group"

– "okay great! so I'll meet up with eleven at school tomorrow and reunite again and you know.. catch up and then I'll bring her to you.. we haven't talked since the day she left so I don't know how it'll go but we will see!"

AT SCHOOL
will rushes out of joyces car, completely forgetting to say goodbye. he runs in to find eleven. it was 7:53 and classes started 8:05 so he thought she'd be there by now. he looks both ways and sees mike. obviously he had to go see him.
– "oh hey baby" mike says
– "hi mikey!" will hugs mike
– "how are you!"
– "good! you?"
– "great now that your here"
– "aww!"
– "so uhmm mike, have you heard of the new girl.. eleven?"
– "uhmm yeah! she introduced herself to me a couple days ago.. why?"
– "well.. that's my old best friend actually!"
– "really?!"
– "yeah, she moved when we were little and I found out yesterday that she moved back, I don't know why she didn't tell me but.. okay mike don't tell dustin or lucas this but.. max told me she likes her. she came out to me yesterday and she wants to break up with lucas and ask eleven out"
– "is eleven lesbian or bisexual or-"
– "uhmm.. i don't know"
– "shouldn't you know?"
– "i haven't seen her since the day she moved in 2nd grade"
– "ohh!"
– "since you talk to lucas more than I do.. would you think lucas would mad if they broke up?"

AT LUNCH
mike and will meet up at wait in line for there food. they make it to the table and sit down next to each other. they all were having there normal conversations, lucas and dustin talking about there score on dig dug, mike and will just staring at each other, and will and max talking occasionally. max was distancing herself from lucas and he didn't seem to care. one of the student councils were passing out papers. mike is the closest so he picks up the paper that is placed on the table. he reads it out loud for there table to hear.
"FOOTBALL GAME THURSDAY NIGHT!
MAKE SURE TO BE THERE AND SUPPORT OUR TIGERS!
TIME: 6:00 PM
HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!"
mike gently places the paper down and has a sad expression on.
– "aww im sorry baby.." will reaches for mikes hand and holds it while kisses it.
once the secret went out that mike and will we're dating, mike was kicked off the football team. dating will was obviously worth it but he loved playing football. it was his hobby. once he got the news at football practice he ran to wills house. mike gets the flashback..
mike runs to the locker room to change for football practice. he rushes to open his locker but is stopped by a bunch of his teammates.
– "HEY? HEY WHEELER!"
– "yes?"
– "SO IS IT TRUE?"
– "is what true?"
– "IS IT TRUE YOUR DATING THAT LITTLE FAG, WILL BYERS?"
– "WILL IS NOT A FAG! AND YES, I AM DATING WILL.. IS THERE A PROBLEM?"
– "OF COURSE THERE IS! WERE NOT HAVING A GAY BOY ON OUR FOOTBALL TEAM!"
– "WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?"
– "YOUR OFF THE TEAM!"
– "you can't kick me off the team! your not the coach"
– "what if I told you that he agreed with us that you should be kicked off the team. no one likes fags wheeler!"
– "well-" mike tries talking but stutters and is slammed onto the floor. his team start kicking him and punches him.
– "p-ple-ase s-s-stop!" mike stutters

all of his teammates are joining in on hitting and punching mike. mike is screaming for help. wanting someone to help him out.
– "p-plea-" mike gives up. all of sudden he hears there couch walking in. mike could see his figure but it was blurry.
– "HEY! GET OFF! BREAK IT UP!"
the coach yells and pulls all of them off of mike. the coach helps mike up but mike falls.
– "you okay bud?"
– "n-no"
– "okay go to the nurse-"
– "fuck the nurse! I'm going to see will"
– "FAGGOT!" one of his teammates yell
– "HEY! THATS 2 EXTRA LAPS FOR YOU!"
the coach returns back to mike and puts his hand on mikes shoulder.
– "listen.. kid.. your a great football player and all.. and i know your dating will.. and i have no problem with that but it won't set a good reputation for our team. so your off the team. im sorry but it's for the better"
– "w-whatever" mike runs out of the locker room and knows exactly where he's going..
wills house.
mike hops on his bike and pedals all the way to wills house. he is shedding a bunch of tears and is hurting in pain but he will do anything to see will.
he gets off his bike as he arrives at wills house and rushes to wills house door.
– "w-will?" mike yells as he struggles to knock.
mike was praying and hoping will was there and thankfully he was. will opens the door and immediately yells
– "OH MY GOD MIKE ARE YOU OKAY?!"
– "n-no" mike looks down. will pushes himself onto mike. will is broken at seeing mike.
– "COME IN MIKE!" will immediately brings mike into wills bathroom.
– "n-no it's o-okay will you don't have too"
– "mike! your hurting and bleeding! im helping you!"
– "okay.. t-thank you will" mike was struggling to stand and he collapses onto the floor.
– "OH MY GOD MIKE!" will rushes over and wraps mikes hand over his neck and will helps stand mike up. will walks over to the living room couch and gently lays mike on the couch.
– "okay I'll be right back, ima go get some stuff to help and you just stay here and relax, okay?"
– "o-okay, thank you will"
will gives mike the most softest smile and runs to the bathroom.
will makes it over to mike and starts opening up stuff to help out mike.
– "s-so what happened?"
mike breaks down and will stops what he's doing and moves over to comfort mike.
– "aww mike! whatever it is, im so so sorry! you can tell me!" will moves the closest he can to mike and wraps his hand around mikes stomach and rubs his back. will moves mikes head to kiss him on the lips.
– "you can tell me babe"
– "i k-know.. s-so anyway.. basically.. i g-got kicked off the f-football team and-"
– "WHAT! WHY?"
– "because we're dating and they don't want a fag like me on there team.. so they beat me up until the coach pulled them apart"
– "mike that's awful! im so sorry that happened! you didn't deserve this"

– "mike no it isn't, that's so terrible! im so incredibly sorry babe!"

– "well that's my job" will laughs
– "alright lets get you cleaned" will says applying some ointment.

the flashback is long ik.. it's literally more than half of the story haha but i wanted to put this in the story cuz i planned on making this happen in the start of this chapter but never did..
