Everything around me was black.
The only thing I remember was going into the kitchen, I blacked out right after speaking to my mom.

I didn't listen to the voice, assuming I was dreaming, and soundlessly went back to sleep.
... Or so I thought.
"You're not gonna fall asleep again now!", the voice from before shouted.
"Ow... You're being way too loud, my head hurts..."
I put my hand on my forehead, trying to somehow numb the pain.
"Oh... Sorry, that wasn't my intention. So you are sick after all."
"Of course I am! Why else wouldn't I have gone to school?"
The anonymous voice started to annoy me.
'One more thing and I'm ready to throw fists.'
"Anyways... I'm just here to bring your documents. Tests are next week, I thought you might need them."
For the first time today, I opened my eyes and analyzed who the person talking to me actually was.
... It was nqrse.
My one and only crush.
Oh, and did I mention we're classmates?
"That's... Very thoughtful of you."
"It is. Well, I did what I came for, so I'm gonna-"
I interrupted him through loud and painful coughing.
My throat felt like Bowser's castle...
"Oi, are you okay?"
"Y-Yes, of course... Could you tell my mother to come here before you leave?"
"Your mother already left."
"Huh?"
"She said she had an important appointment."
Shit, that's right!
She's got a date with my doctor, ugh...
"Oh... Nevermind, then."
"Are you sure?"

I tried to stand up, failing miserably due to an annoying headache and dizziness.
"Yeah, right. I can't leave you alone like this."

"No buts. Do you have medicine?"
"No..."
"Are you stupid?"

"Get back into bed. Is there a pharmacy somewhere around here?"
"At the end of the street, left turn..."
"Alright. Please stay put and wait 'till I'm back. Just take a nap or something."
"I was about to before you shouted in my ear."
"Yeah... Sorry about that.", he grinned.
How could I possibly get mad at him?
"Okay, I'll be back soon."
"Thanks... You know that you don't have to do this, right?"
"And leave a girl in need all by herself? Oh please."
I chuckled at this sarcastic statement.
"Well, then I'll get going. Is there anything else you need?"
"U-Uhm... Nope, I'm fine.", I smiled reassuringly.
"Hah... Girl stuff?"
"Y-Yes..."
"Alright. And next time - Just tell me. I'm not an idiot, I know how girls function.", he smirked and left.
It didn't take long until I fell asleep again, thinking about how lucky I am to have nqrse worry about me.

About 1 hour later, I woke up and heard the front door click.
"I'm back. You still there?", he asked, entering my room without knocking.
"I am. But could you please learn how to knock? What if I was changing?"
"And what would be the problem if I saw?"
I blushed at his statement, making him smirk.
"Shall we try?"
He took a few steps closer to me.
"No thanks, I-I'm fine."
"Your loss. Anyways, here's you medicine. I didn't know what you usually take, so bought some random stuff."
"Oh, I normally don't take medicine."
"Seriously?"
"Yep. So I bet you probably bought something helpful."
"Yeah, I bought the stuff I usually take. I don't know if it works on you, but I guess we have to try."
"Did I thank you properly?"
"You may as well do it now."
His grin made my heart pound.
Is it really a good idea to let him tend to me?
My cold could actually grow worse, my heart's already pounding too fast...
"While you try the medicine... Do you have something to eat?"
"Oh, are you hungry? I'm sorry, I'll go get something for-"
"No you dumbass. I was asking for you."
"... Oh."
"God, why am I even here..."
"Don't be so rude."
"Hah, you're right, I'm here to help you. So, do you have food or not? I brought you something sweet, but you need to eat properly."
I think I'm in heaven.
He even bought me sweets?
He's being so nice to me, even though we don't even count as friends.

"I don't think we do..."
"Good thing I also bought stuff to cook. Take the medicine, I'll be back after I finished cooking."
"n-nqrse! Thank you so much. Without you, I may have blacked out back there. And I would probably be depressed because no one's here to help me. But... You stayed, and you can't believe how glad I am about that."
I just had the urge to properly thank him.
It's not natural to just stay and help.
"No problem. If I stay I won't have to worry about you. So please just listen to what I say, okay?"
"Okay."
We exchanged a smile and he left me alone again.
'I can't believe this is really happening...'
I'm so happy to have him here and worry about me.

After I took the medicine, I actually felt a little better than before.
"Did you take it? How do you feel?"
nqrse walked in, holding a tray equiped with orange juice and omurice.
"I also didn't know what you like to eat, so I just made omurice...", he said, looking a little flushed.
"I love omurice.", I answered, smiling.
"Well, that's good, then..."
"And - I do feel better. Thanks for asking."
"Of course. Me being here wouldn't make any sense if I didn't care about whether you feel better now or not."
"That is true."
Sudden awkward silence overcame the situation.
"W-Well, you should eat now. I'll be in the living room-"
"Why? Just stay here."
"I shouldn't..."
"What if somehing happens while you're away?"
"Then I'll rush over immediately."
Though I wasn't satisfied, his answer didn't fail to make me feel somewhat special.
"Okay, if you don't want to stay here, I'll go to the living room too."
"What? Why would you do something so reckless?"
I didn't answer, I just stared at him.
"Hah, fine... I'll stay. Idiot.", he smiled, having given up.
I sat up straight so he could place the tray on my knees.
I patted beside me, gesturing him to take a seat on the bed.
"You sure?"
"Why shouldn't I be?"
He sat down and watched me in silence.
"Is there something on my face...?"
"No, I'm just waiting for you to start eating. It will get cold otherwise."
"Oh, right."
I took a sip of orange juice and then a bite of the omurice.
Both the rice and the egg were perfectly cooked, tasting like actual heaven.
"Wow, that's amazing...! Where did you learn to cook and can you please teach me!?"
"Haha. How about some private lessons then?"
He leaned in, resulting in me backing away.
"Sure... But not right now. I'm sick."
"Right...", he sighed, backing away.
I sat up straight again and continued eating when I noticed a slight dizziness again.
"Ah, fuck..."
"What is it?"
"Nothing much, I'm just starting to feel dizzy again..."
"Want me to feed you?"
"Haha, sure."
I tried to laugh his question off, not taking it seriously and being quite embarrassed about actually imagining him feeding me.
He seemed to take it serious though, 'cuz the next thing I knew was having been taken away the spoon, which was now hovering in front of my face.
"A-Are you serious?"
"Sure, why not? Better than you dropping all my precious food due to your sickness."
"Hmm..."
I pondered over his words.
'He wasn't wrong.'
"Alright... Here goes nothing."
"Open wide~"
"Ahhh~"
I opened my mouth, letting him put the spoon in it.
I, yet again, got to taste the amazingness of his cooking skills.
"It's really delicious...~!"
"Let me try then."
He put down the spoon.
I gulped.
His soft yet dry lips on mine felt even better than imagined.
I tasted a slight sweetness.
'He must have drank some of that orange juice...'
He licked over my lips and bit down on them, causing me to yelp.
He took the chance and put his tongue in my mouth, fighting for dominance, which he easily won.
He pulled away and licked his own lips.
"You're right, it does taste delicious."
I couldn't help but blush a thousand shades of red.
Did my crush just kiss me!?
"Do you know how long I've been wanting to do this?"
"N-No...?"
"Well, I can tell you - It's been pretty fucking long."
I was speechless.
nqrse kissed me.
Out of the blue.
And even so passionatly...
"I think I may have something to tell you, (Y/N)..."
"Yeah, me too..."
He grinned.
"On three?"
"One..."
"Two..."
"Three!"
"I love you!", we shouted in sync.
"... Huh? That's what you wanted to tell me!?"
"Of course. You did too, right?"
"Y-Yes, I do love you..."
"That's good. Then I wasn't the only one enjoying that kiss.", he grinned at me.
"Yes, it was amazing.", I smiled back, blushing.
"More than my cooking skills?"
"Hmm, I guess you have to try harder for that.", I chuckled.
"Hmm, guess I have to show how good I am..."
He smashed his lips on mine, moving them in perfect sync to mine.
He gently pushed me down by the shoulders, never breaking the kiss.
Biting my lower lip, his tongue explored my mouth again, making me feel all fuzzy and go dizzy again.
After he pulled away, a string of saliva still connected our lips.
I was breathing heavily, due to the cold and the steamy kiss, making him smirk.
"Still not good enough?"
"I'm sorry, I think you have to show me once more...", I smirked back.
He attacked my lips again and kissed me through the whole evening, the food long cold and forgotten.

As I went to school next week, I noticed nqrse at the far end of the hallway.
He was coughing a little, probably having caught my cold through-

I blushed at the thought.
As I was lost in thoughts, he made his way over to me and simply gave me peck on the lips.
"Eh, in school? And oi, I'll get sick again if you kiss me!"
"But it's worth it, isn't it?", he grinned.
"It may be.", I grinned back.
Everyone in the hallway was staring at us by now.
"Uh, are you guys--? Since when?"
"Oh, he paid me a little visit last week and it turned out that he's a really good kisser."
"Oh, now you finally admit it?"
"Guys, I don't think I wanna hear any more of that!!", Araki cried out and ran away.
"Well, more alone-time for us...", nqrse whispered and leaned in again.
The sound of the bell ringing seperated us.
"I'm gonna get sick again...", I whined.
"Then I'll visit you again and cook us something."
"Will we eat it this time?", I smirked.
"Oh hell no."
We laughed, he hugged me one last time and our school day began.
I guess being sick wasn't so bad after all.
