Areum sat down and crossed her legs and arms. She leaned back and sighed, "Let's just get this over with," she muttered and massaged her temples. Her eye twitched at the sight of Hana getting closer to them. She stayed silent when he spoke and just looked at him.
Hana turned to Mingi and widened her eyes before raising her hand. Mingi closed his eyes at the slap and sighed out deeply. He saw Hana leave the classroom and ran a hand through his hair before standing up and following her.
Areum covered her mouth and was shocked when she slapped him. She gulped and turned her head away. "Poor Mingi" she sighed out and just kept her head on the desk for the remainder of time.
Mingi grabbed Hana and turned her around. "Do you want the kids' words to reach our parents or something?" He asked angrily holding her arm tightly.
"Mingi that was disrespectful. How can you be friends with that snake!?"
"What do you want me to do!? Be bad to her!?" He asked quietly yet angrily.
"Mingi. She's your enemy. Our enemy." She sighed pushing his hand away. "You're hurting me." She said looking up at him.
He sighed let go of her. "Alright. I understand." He said leaving her in the hallway. He went back to his seat and sat down with his back facing Areum. He didn't look or talk to her.
Areum looked up at him and was about to say something before she noticed he was ignoring her. "Just sit somewhere else, you avoiding me bothers me" she mumbled and kept her head down facing the desk. 'He is such a deceiving liar, next time Song Mingi, don't lead girls on like that, it's a dick move' she thought to herself and sighed deeply.
"I'm not ignoring you." He said Keeping his back to her. "I'm just in a bad mood thanks to someone." He said sighing. He laid his head down on his arm and tried to sleep
Areum sighed and shook her head. The teacher came in and looked around at the students landing her eyes on Mingi. "Song Mingi, head up you know what to do," she said in a stern tone and stared at him.
He kept his head down until he was told to leave the classroom. He got out and went to the gym immediately grabbing his phone. He texted Areum as she was in class. "Come to the gym." He sent.
Areum got a text from him and she stood up to ask the teacher if she could go to the bathroom. She left and immediately went to the gym. Opening the door, she saw him and walked over to him with her arms crossed, phone in her hand.
He smiled widely and went towards her placing his hands on her cheeks. He leaned down and kissed her softly with his eyes closed then placed his hands on her waist. he pulled away a few seconds later and looked into her eyes.
Areum smiled and kissed him back. She wrapped her arms around his neck and tilted her head a bit. "Oh? You weren't saying anything to me a few minutes ago and now you're showing affection hm...I guess you can't resist me" she teased and pecked him on the lips.
He listened to her as he talked and smiled sweetly. "Yeah you're right. I can't resist you." He whispered and kissed her lips followed by her jawline.
Areum leaned her head to the side so he could access her more and kiss her. Her hands wandered up to his hair and she started playing with it, while another hand pulled him closer to her. "What made you so upset earlier?" she asked softly.
He continued to kiss her jawline until she tilted her head. He placed a soft kiss on her neck and pulled away looking at her. "I was humiliated in front of the class plus she disrespected you." He mumbled
Areum nodded and caressed his face with her hand. "I understand" she grinned and pinched his cheek. "Kang Hana really doesn't want to be friends with me, I honestly don't mind either" she chuckled and held his hand.
He held her hand as well and caressed it with his thumb. "I'm pretty sure she won't tell my parents. She's only using our secret to stay with me." He mumbled. He sighed deeply and pulled his hands out of hers then placed them on her arms gently rubbing them. "You should head inside." He smiled
Areum sighed out, "Okay...you brought me here for five minutes to kiss" she laughed and leaned in to kiss his cheek. She pulled away from him and walked out of the gym and into the classroom.
"I didn't!" he yelled as she left and smiled at her. He went to the bench and sat down closing his eyes then laid down to get some sleep. A few minutes passed and he woke up by the bell ringing. He rubbed his face and sighed as he looked around himself before leaving the gym.
Areum had finished all of her work she needed to do and outside the classroom. She turned her head to notice a sleepy Mingi. Walking over to him, she fixed some of his hair and crossed her arms. "Did you take a nap without me?" she asked with a pout forming on her face.
He looked at her as she approached him and lowered his head for her when she reached out. He smiled and nodded as he leaned his head back. "I did... sorry, I couldn't keep myself awake." he mumbled. "Did Hana look for me?" He asked.
Areum looked around and didn't see a Hana in the hallways at all. She chuckled and turned to him again. "Nope!" she shook her head and pushed some hair behind her ear. "That means...we're free Mingi" she said in relief and sighed.
He shook his head. "I don't think so, Areum." he mumbled. "You know. She won't leave no matter what. Oh- my mistake. I mean she won't leave my money no matter what." He laughed.
Areum patted his shoulder and got closer to his ear. "Then let's just hide from her" she said taking his hand and bringing him to the rooftop entrance. She pointed to the doorknob for him to unlock, and looked at him.
He looked at her as he held her hand and looked at her from behind, before slowly grabbing his keys. "It's brave of you to think that I will unlock the door for you that easily." he said unlocking it anyways. He went outside and locked it once both of them were out.
Areum giggled and went on her tiptoes to kiss him on the cheek. "What do you mean by 'that easily'? You just did" she tilted her head a bit in confusion. The sky that day was the clearest it had been in a while and she was in awe over how blue it was.
"Well..." he mumbled then stopped talking. "nothing. Your little brain will never understand anyways." he said hitting her gently with his phone.
Areum glared at him and crossed her arms. "I'm smarter than you, shut up" she said before turning around to go towards the railing. She leaned against it and looked at all of the buildings.
He walked towards her and wrapped his arms around her stomach not caring about all the students in the front yard that were able to see them. He leaned his chin down on her shoulder gently and tried to press too hard so it wouldn't hurt her. He looked at her to the side and kissed her cheek.
Areum grinned and turned her head slightly to look at him. "Song Mingi, what are we exactly?" she asked still keeping her eyes on him. She had gotten confused over the many times he had called her a 'friend'.
Mingi frowned his eyebrows at her sudden question and sighed. "What do you see us as?" he whispered and kept looking at her his arms still wrapped around her.
Areum shrugged, "Um...I don't know, that's why i'm asking you of course" she said with a grin. "I mean I wouldn't exactly say we're friends" she said with a deep sigh.
He giggled and turned her around. "I wouldn't either Kim Areum." He said quietly looking into her eyes. "we-" he said but was interrupted by a sudden buzz in his pocket. "sorry..." he mumbled grabbing his phone from his pocket. "hello?" He said.
Areum smiled and heard his phone go off. Her smile faded and nodded slowly as she turned back around. Since it was more quiet, she could hear the conversation this time.
"Mingi, where are you? Don't tell me you're with her now." Hana said. "Where are you?" She said her voice cracking of anger. "I knew you were going to either text me or call me." Mingi smirked. "Song Mingi. Where are you?" She repeated. He hummed in thought and smiled. "See you later." he said hanging up.
Areum heard Hana's voice and shook her head. When he hung up, she turned around and walked closer to him. "You're so mean, Mingi. A man like you doesn't deserve me" she sighed deeply and walked away from him, glancing at him she turned around again.
"Where are you going?" He asked looking at her. "I'm doing this for you and you leave me?" He asked in disbelief. "Areum." He said walking up to her. He grabbed her arm and looked at her. "What do you mean by that?" he sighed
Areum bit her lip and looked at him. "Tell me honestly, do you like me?" she asked wrapping her arms around him. "It's not that I don't think you do I just want to hear it from you," she said, leaning her head against his chest.
He bit his lip as he hugged her tightly and sighed. "Of course I do, Areum." he whispered. "I love you." He said as he caressed her head. "That's not even a question." he smiled
Areum smiled and looked up at him. "Really? I love you too" she said softly. His words melted her little heart and made her feel special inside. "You didn't forget about later today right? The park" she asked still looking up.
He shook his head and smiled. "Of course I didn't forget." He said and ruffled her hair. "But what are we doing there though?" He asked. He didn't want a boring walk or boring talk at the bench. He wanted more.
