Door CRCECL

Locking yourself away is one of the hardest things you have to do but is something that is necessary to survive. I had no choice, for me there was no easy to way out. So to protect the world, I locked my demon away.

Oh and when I say I'm locking my demon away, I don't mean I'm locking away my dark thoughts or something like that. I mean I am locking away a demon caged inside of me, until its time, for it to break free and spread it's wings.

My name is Destiny and I'm Christina Clarks sister.

I look like an ordinary woman in the middle of the cold war in Russia, working for the head of the soviet union. When really, I'm anything but ordinary. I have these.... Craving. Whenever I am weak, from lack of blood. I can feel the demon desperately trying to escape it's cold metal cage and when it does, it kills. So much blood, so much blood. I enjoy the taste of it rushing down my throat and through my dead body. To think blood used to terrify me.

Now as I'm strolling towards the woods, heading towards Soviets Main command with my rucksack on my shoulder. It's time I get the revenge that I deserve. I will never let the beast inside come free and control me. But now, I will let its fangs come out and strike down that murderer who killed my sister. It time for me to seek my revenge and the cage vanishes as my teeth come out and my eyes glow red.

Reaching the outskirts of the forest, I can see the old-fashioned castle with carriages rolling in by the dozen for the gala tonight. I shall sneak in, find that bastard who killed my sister 15 years ago, and destroy him. His blood will taste heavenly against my lips.

Thank you Undertaker, for informing me of my next target.

...

The ballroom for the gala is beautiful; the sparking chandeliers hanging form the celling, pale light blue wallpapers on the walls, the golden columns and the polished wooden floor. It's a shame that the people dancing and drinking on it are staining such a beautiful sight.

This party is for the higher officers of the Soviet Union even though its more like a farewell party as everyone knows the Soviet Union is collapsing as it runs out of money. It all is crumbling apart but I don't care about their problems. All I care about tonight is my target, an officer who goes by the name of Roger Warren.

He burned my sister to death, he must pay for that.

I spot him standing amongst his fellow officers, drinking champagne and flirting with every blood bitch that move. How can any woman like a man in uniform with too much gel in his hair. He makes me feel sick just watching him. To think, a man like this took down my sister... his blood will drench these floors when I am done with him.

Approaching my target, I steal a glass of champagne and take a swig of it. I adjust the expensive blue dress to catch his attention and in a matter of minutes I have caught his eye. He says goodbye to his officers before coming over to me.

He reaches me and kisses my hand, like a true gentlemen.

"My lady, how have I not seen your beautiful face before?"

I smile, keeping up appearances, "It's my first gala sir."

He shakes his head, "No please, call me Roger." I nod, "And what is your name?"

"Destiny Clark."

His eyes widen slightly in shock and he tries to hide it but doesn't succeed. He recognised my name, that means he's defiantly the one who killed my sister. He will be my next victim.

He regains his posture, "What a lovely name. Would you be so kind and follow me? There is something I must show such a fine lady such as yourself."

"Off course Roger, it would be my pleasure."

I follow him out the ballroom and down the corridor until we reach a door. He unlocks it and there are stairs going down into darkness. He gestures for me to go in and I go in first, stepping down the stairs into the darkness. The stairs go down into a room that is lit up by the furnace in the centre of the room.

The room itself is damp and dark. The walls are dark black with a light green tinge to the walls and the floor is concrete.

I turn to face Roger Warren, dropping the innocent little rich girl routine, "Sir Roger Warren. I would keep up with the act but I don't see the point. You know who I am and I know who you are. Admit it, what did you do to my sister?"

He goes over to the furnace, putting his hand above the dying embers, "She was beautiful but I guess all woman are. But this one in particular was different and maybe that's why she never left my mind and haunted my every waking moment since she departed."

He looks at me, "She spoke about you, Christina. Quite highly actually... Christina I thought... was just an ordinary girl." He smiles, as he thinks about her, "She was beautiful and clever and yet tough and agile. She looked like an angel with her faint glow and her eyes locked with mine as she danced around the ball room."

I hold back my anger, knowing my demon can't wait to taste his blood as he goes on, "I knew straight away she was different to us. Different to any human I have ever met. Her body so young and yet her eyes looked so old. Immediately I was attracted to her and I was curious and intrigued."

I speak up, "So you decided to burn her?"

He steps away from the furnace, chuckling and shaking his head, "No, not at first. It took me the whole evening to realise what she was and how to kill her. I had read myths and legends but I never thought it would be a true. An immortal being."

He stops in front of me, "An immortal, like you. Creatures like you shall be wiped from this world."

"So you killed her?"

He smirks, pulling out a knife stained with blood, my sisters blood, "As she leaned to bite into my neck, her eyes glowing an inhuman red and her teeth like white dagger. I stabbed her in the stomach and pushed her into the flames. I left her to burn... leaving nothing but ash."

He chuckles evilly, raising his knife, "How to kill a vampire? Stab them and drain them of their blood, that's what I read. The whole stake thing and chopping the head off is all myths and legends. She's dead, and you are next."

"I'm not the one dying today."

My eyes glow red and as he makes to pounce at me. However, we are interrupted when we hear the door open above and then hear it shut. We freeze as we look at each other. Who is that?

We hear the door lock followed by the sound of footsteps and then a sadistic laugh. Roger turns and my eyes widen as I recognise the woman as she reaches the bottom of the stairs.

I stare at my sister in shock as her eyes glow red, "Destiny, you look... good. Roger, you won't once I am done with you."

Roger looks at her in horror, "You're dead."

"Yes, Undertaker said...."

Christina chuckles as she punches Roger across the face, "Don't believe everything you are told. And I thought I told you there are two ways to kill vampires and being stabbed and burned isn't one of them."

Roger moves away from him, "How? You are dead."

She rolls her eyes before she grabs his wrists and in seconds, pins him to wall, "I thought we already established that I am already dead in our first meeting Roger." She looks at me, "Do you want the first bite?"

I feel the beast inside of me dying to rip my fangs into his flesh and tear him apart, piece by piece. I can hear his heart beating faster, the blood pumping around his body faster as he struggles to get free.

Must control, I cannot fall to his level. I refuse to lose my humanity

I shake my head, "No, I don't want to kill him."

She raises her eyes brows, "You come all the way here to avenge my death and now you can take that vengeance and you back out?"

"But you are not dead. He's just an idiot who tried to kill you."

She looks at me disgusted before burying her fangs into his neck. I watch her drink him and I hear it, his heart stopped. Pulling away, she chucks his body onto the furnace and it burns.

She glares at me, "That man was hired to kill me. He won't be the last."

I roll my eyes, "That doesn't mean you have to kill him!!! But you did."

The smell of roar flesh fills the room and I storm out the room, not looking back at my sister. She's losing her humanity, her morality with every passing day. I hope the next time I see her, she will have some humanity left.
