Everyone began laughing as Matt and Edd sat on the end of Tom's hospital bed,
"I missed this so much." Tord said, smiling.
Tom wrapped his arms around Tord's neck, Tord assuming that Tom was hugging him,
"T-Tord," Tom began to cough loudly and black began dripping out of his mask,
Tord turned to Tom and immediately turned shocked and overwhelmed, "Wait Tom it's okay I'm here! What's happening?!"
Edd ran into the hallway and started shouting for a nurse while Patryk kept pressing the button to alert the nurses,
Tord began to stroke Tom's face and hug him tightly while trying to aid him at the same time, "Tom, what's happening?!"
One of the nurses ran in and began to push all of them out of the hospital room, "OUT, HE'LL BE OKAY, JUST GET OUT."
"Tom, I love you!" Tord said before the room's door slammed shut.
Tord slowly began to cry and sit on the floor against the door, waiting for Tom.
"Tord, he'll be okay, don't w-"
"BUT WHAT IF HE ISN'T OKAY? What if I lose him?! He nearly lost me and now I might lose him..."
Paul sighed, "I'm sure it's nothing Tord."
"Yeah, it's completely normal for black to drip out of your eye mask isn't it?" Tord said aggressively and sarcastically
Patryk pushed Paul out of the way from Tord and nodded at Paul, knowing he meant 'let me handle this'.
"Tord, listen, I don't know if this is going to help or not,"
Pat sighed and placed a hand on Tord's shoulder,
"We all lose loved ones and sometimes we're lucky and we don't lose them too soon. I'm sure Tom's going to be fine but if he isn't, there isn't much we can do."
Tord looked up at Pat and wasn't sure if to hug him or slap him,
"You say that as if you've lost a loved one."
"Too many," Pat let out an awkward chuckle,
"You've always been our whiney, spoiled brat and we love you so much - but sometimes you don't always get what you want Tord."
Tord sighed, being really loving and optimistic wouldn't have got Tord's state of mind any better but with a little bit of 'tough love' and honesty, he'd understand. And he did.
"Fine. But I'm seeing him as soon as they're done."
"And if the nurses don't let you?"
"I'll either fire them or stab them," Tord said, looking Patryk dead in the eye with all seriousness,
"I care about Tom more than I care about myself..."
Paul sat next to Patryk and gave a small smile at Tord, "Can I ask you something?"
"Sure."
"Why do you love Tom so much?"
Tord paused a second, why did he love Tom so much?
The fact they could laugh and have a good time together no matter what?
The fact they flirted with each other time after time
The fact he opened up to Tord about his drinking problem
The fact that he's literally the best kisser in the world and so damn attractive
The 'smirnoff' situation until Paul interrupted them..
The fact they'd sneak about to *cough* maybe have sex *cough*
Tord sneakily looked at the hickeys on his neck and smiled,
The fact he understood Tord and knew him as much as Paul and Patryk did
"He's breathtaking, I can't describe how much he means to me and if I did I'd be here for my life."
Paul and Patryk turned to each other, smiling,
"It's nice to know you found someone you love."
Paul then moved and sat next to Tord,
"I want to apologise, Tord."
"Why?.."
"I made it seem like I didn't accept the fact you were with Tom and were gay. I made it seem like I didn't want it to happen and made it seem like I didn't like Tom,"
"No dad it's okay you don't have to exp-"
"Nope, let me continue. I'm happy for you, I'm happy you found love and I didn't even care if you were straight, bisexual, gay, trans, anything! I accept you and want you to know I appreciate you so much, Imagine it - me and Patryk together and yet I don't accept you? That's stupid." Paul chuckled and his eyes became glossy.
Tord began to cry and hugged Paul tightly, staying in silence because he was at a loss of words and just sobbed into his shoulder.
Patryk held Paul's hand and stroked Paul's wedding ring with his index finger and Paul did the same, smiling at Patryk.
"I remember when we got you Tord, you were so young and had a helpless look of defeat in your eyes, we thought you'd honestly be annoying, loud and over the top...Looks like we were correct," Tord laughed and playfully hit Patryk,
"Your parents would be so proud of you..." Patryk stroked Tord's hair, a pitiful look in his eyes,
"They're looking down on you and love you." Paul added on to Patryk's statement.
Tord began to burst into tears and hugged both of the men tightly, whimpering about how much he loved both of them.
Their family bonding moment was interrupted by a nurse opening Tom's hospital room door,
"Red Leader?"
Tord wiped his tears and stood up, trying his best not to burst into tears again,
"Nurse, just please tell me he's okay."
"He is. However, we need to talk privately."
Tord walked down the hallway away from everyone and ordered the nurse to come here and tell him,
"What is it?"
*TRIGGER WARNING*
"I believe Tom had attempted to overdose."
"Wait what do you mean?"
"We found many antidepressants in his system and he did tell us he has had a past of attempts to end his life and we believe this is one of them."
"W-When were they all took do you think?!"
"A few hours ago."
"When I was rushed to hospital..."
"Yeah, it is alright to see him but if you want to give him some space I can un-"
"NO! I want to see him. Now."
"Okay Red Leader." The nurse stood back allowing Tord to pass.
Tord walked into his hospital room, smiling at him, "This seems familiar."
Tom smiled at him, some traces of black still under his eye mask, "Hah, very familiar."
Walking towards Tom and closing the hospital door behind him, he kissed Tom on the forehead and stroked a hand through his hair,
"Why did you do it?"
"Do what?- Oh..."
"Tom, I'm here for you - it's okay..."
Tom took a deep breath and laid down in the bed, "I thought I was going to lose you... And if I didn't have you with me, what was the point?"
Tord hugged him tightly as soon as Tom finished explaining,
"Don't you ever do that again, you scared the shit out of me. You are worth living and I've promised you that I'll never leave you and I'm not keen on breaking promises"
Smiling and crying, Tom cuddled him back even tighter, "I won't do it again, and I'm sorry I scared you... You've been through so much with Red Base already and you don't deserve this stress."
Tord pulled back and looked Tom up and down, seeming like he was deep in his own thoughts.
He was thinking of something.
But what?
