🏴☠️️Ch. 31: The Most Horrible Man in the East Blue! Arlong, Captain of the Fishman Pirates!🏴☠️️

So far, it's been smooth sailing since we've left the Baratie. Luffy is resting at the bowsprit of Sanji's small boat, Ghin's taking his first real rest since he became a pirate, along with Yosaku and Sanji.
Meanwhile, I'm observing the school of flying fish that have been swimming alongside our boats, while also crafting something very special for when we get Nami back. Once we meet up with her, she can lie all she wants to everyone, but I know the truth. I know of the cruel acts Arlong has committed. I'm only sorry that I couldn't become strong enough sooner to free those people from the prison that their island has become, and that Bellemere will forgive me for being this late. I just hope she's doing alright.
Luffy lets out a yawn as he awakens from his nap. "This weather's perfect!" He then rushes to the stern of the boat. "So, which way is the Grand Line?"
I see Ghin tense a bit at the mention of the dangerous sea.
Luffy starts to pop up all around the small boat asking me which direction the Grand Line is.
"Easy now, Luffy." I try to calm down the hyperactive knucklehead. "We'll get to the Grand Line, but remember, we've got other business to attend to first."
"Listen to (First Name)-koi! She knows what she's talking about." Sanji defends me. "You need to sit. Jeez, you bug me."
"How do you keep up with this guy, (First Name)?" Ghin questions.
"I've pretty much built a tolerance to the amount of energy this guy has every day. Either give him what he wants or knock him unconscious. Those options have kept me sane, so far."
Luffy apologizes, but his excitement is still there. "I'm just excited that we finally got a cook on board! Now we just need Nami, then nothing will stand between us and the Grand Line!"
"Nami?" Ghin repeats confusedly.
💥Our navigator.💥 Trigger explains. 💥The one I was telling you about a while after we set sail.💥
"The one who stole your ship earlier? Remind me again why you'd want someone like that back on your crew?"
"Because Nami is the finest navigator you'll ever meet. She's amazing at what she does." (First Name) defends the orange-haired girl.
"Nami." Sanji sighs dreamily and the smoke from his cigarette is now heart-shaped. "I can just sit around all day and think about how beautiful she and (First Name)-koi are. I can't wait until I get to see her again."
Luffy sits down on the bow rails of the boat. "So, are we getting close to where Nami is? Y'know, the island?" He asks Yosaku, who hasn't said a word since they left.
Yosaku looks as if he's finally had enough of Luffy's happy-go-lucky attitude towards the situation. "You're way too naïve and way too young! Don't you get it?! Don't you realize every second that passes brings us closer to the infamous Arlong?!" Yosaku then explains to us about Nami's reaction when she came across Arlong's wanted poster before she went and stole the Going Merry. "I'm telling you, Nami's planning on taking down Arlong and then collecting the 20,000,000 beri bounty. For all we know, while we just sit here, she's already making her way through his compound."
Luffy brushes off Yosaku's worries with a yawn. "That's nice. Let's eat."
"Sounds good." Sanji quickly agrees.
"I could go for something as well." Ghin joins in.
"Us too!" I speak for me and the pack.
"Don't tell me you guys are so clueless that you have actually never heard of the evil Arlong!" Yosaku exclaims.
"Uh, no. So, who is he?" Sanji asks.
Luffy is equally as clueless to just who Arlong is as well. "Yeah."
Yosaku's head drops in defeat. He then pulls out a whistle from out of nowhere and blows it loudly gaining everyone's attention. "Listen up! All of you! Time for your education on the cunning shark that is Arlong. Arlong is a fishman who used to destroy everything in his path up and down the Grand Line." The bounty hunter explains.
"A fishman?" Sanji echoes.
"That's cool." Luffy comments. "I don't think I've ever met one of those before."
"I've heard that the females on Fishman Island are some of the most beautiful creatures in the world to behold." Sanji swoons with hearts in his eyes. The blonde chef then recalls my hybrid form. "Dear pearl, you must be a gift from that very island. You're beautiful (Favorite Color) scales that cover parts of your lustrous skin, and tail. You're obviously a mermaid gifted with the ability to walk on land! It's the only explanation!"
"Not the only explanation. Sorry, Sanji, but I'm no mermaid or a fishman." I clarify.
"Then . . .If you aren't any of those, then where do the fish appearance and powers come in? It's obviously not a Devil Fruit; You can still swim."
I look up from my project with a smirk. "I'm sorry, but that would be telling. A girl has to have some secrets, y'know." I wink.
Ghin chuckles at my teasing nature befitting of a Siren. "You really are odd."
💥And speaking of pearls. . .💥 Trigger whispers as he approaches me in my 'steering chair'. 💥I found this while I was scavenging for anything the Krieg Pirates might've left behind.💥 He reaches into his bottomless bag and pulls out a half yellow, half white pearl the size of my fist.
My eyes widen as I take the gemstone from his paws.
💥(First Name). . .Did I find something important?💥
I feel familiar energy radiating from the gemstone as I run my hands along its smooth yellow surface. But when I run my hand along the white side, it wasn't the same feeling. I gently run my nail along the white surface and it eventually gives way to reveal the normal yellow color beneath it. 'That. . .That moronic. . .imbecilic. . .disrespectful, asshole!' I rage in my head, careful not to crack the gem with my bare hands, but I calm down just in time and put away the previous craft I was working on and make cleaning the pearl my top priority.
"Fishman sounds weird." Luffy had taken one of my sketchbooks out of my bag and shows us a crudely made drawing of what he thinks a fishman looks like. "Do they look like this?"
Sanji, Ghin, and the pack laugh at the terrible drawing.
"CAN'T YOU ALL JUST FOCUS FOR JUST ONE MINUTE PLEASE?!" Yosaku shouts. He calms down before continuing to explain. "Alright, I will start from the very beginning. The reason they call the Grand Line a pirate graveyard in the first place is because of Arlong and the other two powers like him who rule over it."
"I assume you're talking about the Seven Warlords of the Sea, Yosaku?" (First Name) interrupts.
"Yeah, that's right! It makes me feel better that at least one of you has enough sense about the Grand Line."
"'Seven Warlords'?" Luffy repeats.
"The Seven Warlords are pirates authorized by the government." Yosaku continues.
"Seriously? Why would any pirate on the sea want government approval?" Sanji inquires.
"For protection. The government looks the other way in exchange for a cut of their treasure and they're allowed to exist. Of course, to other pirates, they're just government dogs. But they didn't get to where they are by being weak. These guys are powerful."
"'Hawk-Eye' Mihawk is one the very same pirates, but I think he only became a Warlord because he's bored." I voice.
"Bored?" Ghin questions my opinion.
"Yeah. Having the title of 'World's Greatest Swordsman' must be tiresome for him. Being the best there is and not having a decent challenge. Why do you think he said he was 'just killing time' when he came after the Krieg Pirates?"
Ghin hums in thought. "I never thought of it like that. But the fact that there are six more immensely powerful people like Mihawk out there; It's unsettling."
Luffy isn't bothered by this information, rather he seems even more ecstatic. "That's so cool! And you went toe to toe with him, (First Name)! I can't wait to meet all seven of these guys! They sound awesome!"
'Yeah, some of them are. But there are also some to avoid like the plague.' But I keep that thought in my head. Besides, even if I advised him against it, the rubber boy would just ignore my warnings.
"Yeah, well the first among the warlords, at least first you should know about is Jimbei, captain of the fishmen. He is dangerous like no one you've ever known. Easily causing as much havoc and destruction around the Grand Line as Arlong."
I glance over at Luffy to see him scribbling a new picture. "Is this closer?"
"That looks just like your last picture only standing up." Sanji points out.
"Arlong has taken control of over 20 towns since coming to the East Blue. His strength easily surpasses anyone you've encountered, including that of Don Krieg's. He's devastating." This proclamation gets Ghin's full attention.
"So, why do you think Nami would go after this guy all by herself, huh?" Sanji asks.
"I told you already, she wants to collect the bounty on his head." Yosaku answers.
"Oh, wouldn't it be great if Nami was a mermaid. I'd give anything to see that." The blonde chef swoons, probably daydreaming of the orange-haired girl.
I glance over once more at Luffy to see that he modified his last drawing with Nami's hair style and added her name to the drawing. I had to put my hands over my mouth quickly to stop bursting out laughing.
Sanji gets up in the rubber captain's face and growls. "TEAR THAT THING UP OR DIE!!"
"Have any of you morons heard a single word that I've said to you?!" The bounty hunter demands.
"Yeah, badass fishmen, some guy stronger than some other guy, we get it." Answers Luffy, clearly not getting anything Yosaku has been telling them.
The bounty hunter slumps down in his seat. "No, you don't get it. You've never had to face a fishman."
"Well . . .uh, we will when we get there." Luffy assures. "So, don't worry about it."
Sanji stands up. "I guess I'll get lunch started."
"'Bout time! Let's eat!" Luffy cheers.
"What? Food?" Yosaku looks up.
"What are you in the mood for?" Sanji rolls up his sleeves.
"Hey, Sanji! Think you can do something with these?" Trigger speaks holding a generous amount of flying fish he caught while the rest of us have been talking.
"Sure thing."
"I want meat right off the bone!" Luffy shouts with gusto.
Yosaku runs up to stand beside Luffy. "I want sautéed bean sprouts!"
"I'll stick with the fish." Ghin says.
"As will I." I voice.
"Okay." Sanji walks toward the ship's kitchen. "Leave it to me." He grabs a pan and ladle before getting to work. "This won't take long. Meat, bean sprouts and fish. No problem."
"Man, having a cook is the best, huh? Huh?"
"It sure is." Yosaku agrees.
"Bring me meat!" Luffy demands. "Lots of meat!"
"Sprouts! I want bean sprouts! Bean sprouts!" Yosaku shouts like a mantra.
I then come to a realization at the mention of having Sanji aboard as our cook. "Speaking of which, we need to think of what position Ghin is going to hold on the Strawhat crew."
"His position?" Luffy repeats.
"Yes. Now, let me think." I begin to list the current position filled on the crew. "You hold the position of captain, Luffy, I'm the first mate/seamstress/marine biologist, Ahio can be a scout, Carmela is a botanist, Zoro is our swordsman, Nami is our navigator, ChouChou, Tito, Calder, Umi and Richie look after the ship when we're not around (among other things), Trigger can be classified as a weapons/explosive expert, Usopp is out sniper, and now Sanji is our cook. So, what position can Ghin hold?"
"He's really strong." Luffy comments.
"As a chief commander of the Krieg pirates I took care of keeping many of the newer Krieg Pirate recruits in line as well as take note of all the loot that we pillaged." Ghin explained his previous line of work.
"And though you may not show it, you're probably the most well-educated out of the whole fleet."
I continue to run several different positions in my head trying to think of one most suitable. And I got one. "I've got it! Ghin, you're now the quartermaster of the Strawhat Pirates."
"Quartermaster?" Luffy tilts his head in confusion.
"It's a bit similar to his previous job. Basically, they help maintain order on a ship, settling quarrels, as well as taking into account the amount of treasure that might be brought aboard." I explain.
"Alright then, we have a quartermaster!" Luffy cheers.
Ghin also looks satisfied with his new position.
Luffy and Yosaku are now pushing and shoving to get a look through the porthole window into the kitchen to watch Sanji cook. A few moments later, the table is set and all of us are eating aboard Sanji's ship. Luffy practically stuffs the whole plate in his mouth. Sanji waves off Luffy and Yosaku's thanks for the meal saying that he's just practicing for the evening he can make dinner for Nami and I.
Ghin shakes his head at the lover boy chef's ways regarding women, finding it hard to believe the tough guy he fought could become so soft when it came to the opposite sex.
"I hope you can get Nami to join the crew again." Yosaku says to Luffy. "She's the best."
"Yeah, of course we will." Luffy replies while picking all the meat clean from a bone. "I mean she is our navigator."
Luffy and Yosaku then get into a fight regarding the last piece of meat and then begin to chase each other around the ship. I laugh at the two's antics until I feel something approaching our boats from underwater. Something big. Not wanting to spoil the moment, I contact Calder who has been steadily keeping up with us in the water.
'Calder, look sharp. We've got incoming.'
🌊Right, (First Name).🌊
Ghin has no trouble ignoring the two and continues eating. Sanji tries to ignore them as well by having some more wine, but with the two running around they start to shake the boat, nearly spilling the tasteful drink.
Coming upon the Arlong Park compound, Usopp and Johnny shakily peak over the bulwark of the small boat. A patched up (but nowhere near completely healed) Zoro sits against the bowsprit between the sniper and bounty hunter, bandages covering nearly all of his upper body, and his one still intact katana secured in his grasp. ChouChou lies atop Tito, while Carmela and Ahio perch on the ship's yardarm.
"Alright. We're here." Johnny shakily announces. "That's Arlong Park ahead."
Zoro moves his body to look to see the intimidating structure coming into view along the horizon.
"Arlong Park, huh?" Usopp squeaks. "So, this is the hideout of Arlong of the Fishman Pirates from the Grand Line?" The sniper gulps. "I hope Nami's really here."
"Big Sis Nami's ship was the Going Merry. So, before we do anything stupid, we should quietly check to its stopped on this island first."
Usopp is quick to agree with Johnny's idea. "Yeah, good idea."
🌀🌺Sounds smart.🌀🌺 The macaw siblings voice.
ChouChou barks in agreement as well, while Tito nods with a confident huff. But Zoro has other ideas, as he slams his sheathed katana against the deck. He pushes himself into a stand and flicks the guard of his blade with his thumb, so it unsheathes slightly. "Let's attack."
Everyone else on the boat goes wide-eyed at Zoro's statement.
"But I just said we shouldn't do anything stupid!" Exclaims Johnny.
"WHAT?! ATTACK?! YOU IDIOT! WE KNOW NOTHING ABOUT THIS PLACE!" Usopp shrieks.
🌀Has all the blood going to your brain leaked out from that wound?!🌀 Ahio crows in the swordsman's ear.
🌺You've barely healed in the slightest. Walking straight into a fight with a wound like that is suicide! Even for someone of your strength, Zoro!🌺 Carmela adds.
"Yeah! These guys are the Fishmen!" Johnny agrees with the Strawhat's sniper.
"We need some kind of plan to do that!" Usopp shouts, trying to deter the green-haired swordsman from going through with his terrible plan.
But the worries of his former bounty hunting partner and current crewmates fall on the swordsman's deaf ears. "While the rest of you are busy blabbering and wimping out, I'm placing my thoughts on the battle we're about to face. Luffy told me to bring her back and I'll do just that."
🌺Oh, no you're not!🌺 Carmela flies into Zoro's field of vision and begins to hover at his eye level. 🌺You're not pulling this again, Mosshead! And this time (First Name)'s not here to be yelled at for wanting to keep you safe. You hear me?! You're under my care now!!🌺
Zoro had the decency to look guilty after the sister of the macaw pair brings up his snapping at (First Name).
"I didn't mean to--"
Zoro is cut off by Usopp and Johnny knocking him out with hammers and tying him up against the boat's small cabin.
🌀Usopp! Johnny! What the heck's the matter with you?! We were making progress until you numbskulls butted in!🌀 Ahio berates the sniper and bounty hunter. But the duo ignores the brother macaws' shouts as Usopp spots the Going Merry anchored at a nearby town's dock through his binoculars.
"There it is!" Usopp gasps. "Ha! Found it! The Going Merry! It's right over there!"
"Then she has to be on the island somewhere. We just have to find her." Johnny replies, looking over a map of the island.
"What do you think you're doing?! Would you idiots untie me?!" Zoro growls as he struggles against his binds. "I am not the enemy!"
🌺As much as I don't want to agree with Zoro, this does seem a bit unconventional, you two.🌺 Carmela voices her concerns.
But again, the female macaw's worries are ignored, as Johnny and Usopp look over the map.
"We're east of Arlong Park here at Cocoyashi Village. But it's strange; Why would she have stopped so far from the village?" Johnny wonders aloud.
"UNTIE ME, DAMMIT!!" Zoro bellows.
"Zoro," Usopp calmly approaches the tied-up swordsman. "You're hurt way too bad to be of any help when we go ashore." The sniper places a hand on Zoro's wounds. Though, it's unknown whether Usopp's doing this to emphasize his point or the sniper himself forgot the severity of the swordsman's wounds. "Just sit tight and relax. It's okay; Rest up. You can help next time."
Zoro can only grunt in pain.
🌀I'm not sure whether or not I should be glad Zoro's tied up at this moment. Because if he wasn't, Usopp would lose that hand right about now.🌀 Ahio whispers to his sister as they and the rest of the back on board observe.
The other Pack members nod in agreement.
"Fear not, gentlemen and animals!" Usopp bellows with pride. "I will bring back the girl safely!" He cackles.
"Looks like skipping Arlong Park has sure cheered you up." Johnny notices.
"Prepare the anchor! Bring us alongside the Going Merry!" Usopp shouts. Everything was going their way.
Johnny takes up place at the stern, steering the boat in the direction of the caravel. "Aye!"
"Yes. Now that we're underway, it's time to give a name to this voyage. I think I shall call it 'The Great Adventures of Captain Usopp'."
But the silver lining turns dark, as the docks where the Going Merry is anchored to is being guarded by three Fishmen. And to get where they need to go, they have to sail right past them.
🌀🌺Usopp! Get down!🌺🌀 Carmela and Ahio shout quietly, as ChouChou yanks the sniper by his overalls so he lands flat on his back on their boat's deck to prevent him from being seen.
"What did you--" He screams are cut off as the macaw siblings each place a wing to cover his mouth.
Johnny rushes to the group at the bow and crouches down. "What is it? What'd you see?"
🌀🌺SHH!🌺🌀 The macaws shush softly.
"You stayed where you were a few seconds longer and we would've been spotted." Carmela explains, pointing one of her wing feathers in the direction of the Fishmen.
"It's Fishmen!" At least the two of them have the sense to exclaim quietly.
"Full speed ahead." Usopp orders softly.
"Okie-doke." Johnny replies.
Usopp and Johnny manage to sail past the Fishmen guards, undetected.
"WHY DIDN'T WE JUST DOCK RIGHT THERE?!!" Zoro shouts.
Everyone else is quick to shush him.
"Didn't you see that?!" Usopp questions lowly. "There were three Fishmen over there! It's Arlong's crew! We can't stop here right now!"
Zoro isn't bothered by the sniper's worries and kicks him in the face since his feet are his only appendages not tied up. "Do not yell at me!"
"If there are Fishmen here, this entire area must be under Arlong's control." Johnny points out. "So, what now?"
Usopp sighs deeply. "We could just say we couldn't find her." He thinks up.
🌺That is out of the question, Long-Nose!🌺 Carmela squacks.
Her brother nods in agreement. 🌀Yeah! Luffy and (First Name) entrusted us with this task. Do you really want to fail them? If you think Luffy will be disappointed in you if you don't bring Nami back, then imagine the look on (First Name)'s face when you tell her the bad news.🌀
The Strawhat sniper flinches at the idea of the tall, (Hair Color) haired girl being disappointed in him.
"UNTIE ME NOW MORONS! C'MON!!" Zoro continues to shout, struggling against his binds.
Unfortunately, the group's boat is spotted by the Fishmen anyways. Two of the three Fishmen leap from the docks, into the water and straight for their small vessel.
Johnny and Usopp freak at the incoming Fishmen and decide to take their chances and jump ship.
"Let's run." Usopp relays to Johnny.
The bounty hunter squeaks. "Okay."
But unlike the two humans, the pack wasn't going to leave Zoro behind.
Tito is about to chew through Zoro's bindings but is ultimately knocked out by Johnny and Usopp's hammers.
ChouChou and the macaw siblings begin to yell and bark at the sniper and bounty hunter for a boneheaded move.
🌺Tito!🌺 Carmela cries out as the Titan tiger is hoisted onto Johnny's shoulders.
🌀Alright, you two! Enough is enough!🌀 Ahio exclaims.
🌺Usopp! This is going way too--🌺 But the female macaw's berating is cut off when she and her brother are nabbed in midair and stuffed into a burlap sack with ChouChou.
"UNTIE ME, DAMMIT!! HEY! YOU TWO GET BACK HERE OR YOU'RE GONNA DIE!!" Zoro yells. But the two humans jump ship with the animal-napped pack, leaving Zoro tied up to deal with two of the fishmen.
The floating cowards only watch from the water as the swordsman is taken prisoner to Arlong Park.
"Forgive me, Zoro. I will tell Luffy and (First Name) that you were courageous to the bitter end." Says Usopp.
Johnny begins to tear up at leaving his 'big bro' behind. "Please forgive me, Zoro. I'll never forget you!"
But the two quickly get over their guilt *cough*cowardice*cough* and swim towards land. Usopp carrying the sack with Carmela, Ahio, and ChouChou still inside, and Johnny swimming carrying Tito on his shoulders.
"I think this place is called Gosa Village."
The second they haul themselves into solid ground, ChouChou's barking and Carmela's pissed off tone can be heard loud and clear from within the burlap sack.
🌺Usopp! This is the last straw! I've had it up to here with all your tomfoolery!🌺
Ruff!Ruff!Ruff!Ruff!Ruff!Ruff!Ruff!Ruff!
But as terrifying as Hana sounds, it was nothing compared to the view that lay before the two humans.
They stand before a dirt pathway that has an enormous rut going through it, with houses on either side. What was wrong with this picture was that the houses and other buildings of the village were turned onto their roofs, and dirt is kicked up everywhere making it look like an eerie fog. Add in the dead silence and it's a complete ghost town.
🌀Usopp, what is it?! What's going on out there?!🌀 Ahio yells within the sack.
"I heard Arlong came through here a few weeks back. . . " Johnny starts shakily. ". . .but I never thought that. . ."
"Everything's upside-down." Usopp voices.
🌺Upside-down? What do you mean 'upside-down'?🌺 Carmela demands from inside the sack.
Johnny's expression changes into something along serious and borderline terrified. "I've heard people say that Fishmen can be stronger than normal human beings by a very wide margin. I guess this is how strong you have to be to survive the Grand Line."
Out of nowhere, sopping wet footsteps can be heard off to the side.
Johnny takes one look to his left, freaks out and drops the still unconscious Tito, while Usopp is so deep in thought, leaving the rest of the group to face a shadowed figure coming up behind them.
"Maybe. But even the street's upside-down." Usopp mutters to himself.
"The monster, Momoo, caused this destruction." The shadowed figure turns out to be the angler fish Fishman from the docks.
Usopp has yet to be aware of Johnny's disappearance or the Fishman now behind him. "Monster? Don't tell me this place has monsters."
"He belonged to a friend of Arlong's on the Grand Line. We brought him back here with us and have been looking after him for her ever since."
"From the Grand Line, huh?" Usopp begins to sweat at the unfamiliar voice coming from behind him. "Wait. . .'we'?" He looks over his shoulder and immediately screams at the sight of the Fishman.
The angler Fishman recognizes Usopp from the boat earlier and tries to grab him. But Usopp ducks just in time and grabs Tito by his tail and drags him as he runs away. "Later!"
"Come back here!" The Fishman bellows.
Usopp laughs as he has a head start on the Fishman. "You may be a Fishman but there's no way you can catch me on dry land! I'm a very fast runner! I'm a beautiful gazelle!" But as the sniper is too busy boasting over his shoulder at the Fishman, a young human boy trips him out of nowhere.
He loses his grip on Tito and the sack holding the macaw siblings and ChouChou.
🌀Ow! Usopp, you're really in for it now!🌀 A male voice sounds from the bag.
Usopp looks up from having his face in the dirt. "What the he--!"
The boy cuts him off by pointing a cutlass in his face. "Got you, stupid Fishman!" He raises the blade ready to bring it down upon the poor sniper's head. "And now I'll avenge my father by killing you!" The boy lunges at Usopp ready to take his head off.
But the boy's efforts are halted when two women (one fuchsia-haired and one light purple-haired) karate chop him on his head.
"Honestly! How many times does this make?" The older, fuchsia haired woman smoking a cigarette huffs. She's dressed in a green checkered shirt with the word "MACE"on it, indigo trousers and brown sandals. Her hair is designed into a chelseahawk with some strands left at the back tied in a ponytail.
"How many times must we tell you Chabo that you do not mess with the Fishmen." The younger, light purple-haired woman scolds the young boy. She wears blue trousers, purple sandals and her right arm and chest are heavily tattooed underneath her beige sleeveless shirt.
"It only took one person, who decided to stand up to them and they responded by slaughtering everyone in Gosa!" The older woman takes a drag from her cigarette before kneeling down to crouch in front of Usopp. "Well, he looks and smells like a Fishman."
"Yeah, but he's definitely human. Mostly anyways."
"Gah! 'Mostly'?!" Usopp shrieks in offence.
The fishman who had been chasing Usopp was getting closer.
"A Fishman?!" Chabo squeaks, fearfully.
"And this time it's for real." The purple-haired young woman says.
It's in this moment, Usopp decides to grow a pair and try and fight off the Fishman adversary. "Alright. Stand back and let me handle this one." The sniper takes his trusty slingshot in hand and maneuvers in front of the two women and child. "Watch as Captain Usopp takes out this Fishman with a single shot!"
With every passing second, less distance is put in between the angler Fishman and an armed Usopp.
"Take this! It's my special attack: Lead Star!"
But before he could let loose his attack, he's conked on the head (with his own hammer, no less) and falls to the ground unconscious. Maybe this is karma coming back to bite him in the ass.
"I guess he wasn't listening to us when we said the Fishmen would kill us if we messed with them." The fuschia-haired woman sighs in annoyance, as she gently knocks a hammer against her shoulder.
The younger woman drags Usopp and Tito behind one of the upturned houses. "C'mon, tough guy." Once Usopp and the tiger were dragged out of sight of the Fishman she goes back out into the open and lets out a shrill scream. "AHH!!"
The angler Fishman's attention is caught by the shriek. "What's wrong?" He grunts.
"A long-nosed, creepy guy!"
"Which way'd he go?"
The younger woman points off in a direction away from the group. "That way!"
"Now, I gotcha!" The Fishman takes off in the given direction.
The woman goes back behind the house where she left the unconscious Usopp. "C'mon. If you help us out, we can carry him back."
🌺Usopp! Usopp, where are you!?🌺
The two women and young boy freeze at the sound of an angry female voice.
🌀I swear, Usopp! If you've gone and run off, leaving us behind, YOU'RE A DEAD MAN WALKING!!🌀 A male voice shouts.
The two women peek out from behind the houses to spot the rustling burlap sack Usopp had dropped earlier, lying in the middle of the street.
🌀Long-Nose! When I get my hands on you, I'LL MURDER YA!! AND THEN I'M GONNA HAVE (YOUR NICKNAME) HELP US BURY THE BODY!! BECAUSE I KNOW SHE'LL HAVE NO OBJECTIONS WHEN WE TELL HER EVERYTHING!!🌀
The fuschia-haired woman approaches the bag with the hammer at the ready (just in case). She unties the bag only to find two blue macaws with multicolored feather tips and a small white dog.
The macaws fly out of the bag and hover at eye level with the woman. 🌺Who are you?🌺 Carmela asks.
Surprisingly, the woman wasn't fazed in the slightest at the fluent speaking macaws. "I'm Bellemere and that's my daughter, Nojiko.
Back with Zoro, he comes upon the dark secret of Nami's involvement with Fishman Arlong and his crew. Has Nami been toying with the Straw Hats for the entirety of her journey with them, or can there be some other reason for her lies and betrayal?
