*knock knock*
Your head perked up from the ball you were currently lying in.
"Who is it?" You called out.
"I-it's Midioriya. Can I come in?"
You sat up, facing the door.
"Mm," you hummed out. The white door slowly slid open and he popped his head through first. When his eyes landed on you, a small smile appeared on his face.
"Hey, how are you feeling?" He asked, walking into the room. You nodded at him.
"Good, I guess." You shrugged. He smiled at you.
"I'm glad. I would hate to see you in prison for the wrong reason." He walked up and sat in a chair next to you.
"Yeah, well, nothing new."
"Are you okay?" He asked, staring at you in concern. "I know you've been through a lot, so..."
"Midoriya." You placed your hand over his. "I'm fine... or I will be. Thank you for being so concerned for me." You smiled softly at him. A light blush creeped up his cheeks.
"O-oh y-yeah... no p-problem." He scratched his cheek nervously. "I-I was wondering... if..." He looked away from you cheeks turning a deep scarlet.
"If...?" You urged, raising a brow.
"If you were... going to... come back... to U.A."
Your eyes widened a fraction.
"I don't know," you replied honestly, "Why?"
"O-oh! Because I-I just thought... you were... a really g-good friend to have there... especially against Kacchan..." He laughed nervously. You reached over and gently brushed your fingers in his hair.
"W-what are you...?!"
"You don't need me to be strong against Bakugo, you know that right?" You tilted your head. Slowly-nervously, he pressed his head against the palm of your hand.
"Y-yeah, I know... but you know... I'm not as strong as Kacchan, so, I-"
You leaned forward and grabbed his cheeks in your hands, squishing them between your palms.
"No," you said sternly, "No shit talking. You're a wonderful human bean."
"Don't you mean 'being?'"
"No. I mean bean. Cause that's what you are. A bean. A soft, squishy bean." You smiled at him, releasing his face. "Enough with putting yourself down. You've come so far." He blushed at the praise, eyes darting to the floor.
With a lopsided smile, you leaned your head forward and gave him a light kiss on the cheek.
"Even though you're a power bottom, you'll always be my hero~"
That was right before the nurses had to resuscitate him.
"Sorry, Midoriya," you said with a laugh, "I didn't mean to almost kill you."
"Hua-yea-mm-you-gah..."
