"Missed me?"
His cheeky little smirk made me want to slap him and so I did without a hesitation. He yelped and gawked at me with puppy eyes.
"Hey! I thought you-" He stopped when he saw tears rolling down my cheeks. "Lyn..."
Wasting no time, I jumped up and hugged him, holding onto him tightly as if my life depended on it. My whole body was shaking and trembling and I buried my face in the crook of his neck to calm down my nerves.
This feeling... I missed it so much.
"I missed you so much, you idiot," I yelled at him to show my pent up frustration, but my voice came out broken since my sobs were welling up. "I thought you were disappearing! I was afraid that I would never see you again, you stupid-"
His hand gently caressed my head and kissed it, shushing me. "Lyn... baby... I'm sorry for worrying you like this. I couldn't come to you even if I wanted to... I was... being punished for what I did."
I gasped before pulling back. "W-What?!"
I held his face, inspecting it for any signs of wounds and then stepped back to look at his body. I couldn't check for bruises because of his clothes.
"I'm alright now, Lyn, don't worry," he drawled and pulled me by my waist before brushing his thumb over my cheek, gazing intently at me. "If those pain I felt are the price I paid for saving your parents, I would do it again and again millions of times with no hesitation."
My heart fluttered. All the tenderness oozing out from him was truly overwhelming. I was falling deeper into his dark orbs, wallowing in his love and warmth.
His eyes reflected desperation when he whispered, "I missed you like crazy, Lyn..."
"Jimin..."
But then, his words snapped whatever daze I was in.
Wait what-
Pain?!
He forced a smile, his eyes drooping. "Apparently, they had the power to make soul reapers like me vulnerable and able to feel pain... But it's fine now."
"Oh my gosh," I gasped, eyes widening and eyebrows crashing together. I couldn't believe that I made him go through such torture.
"It's not your fault, Lyn," he quickly stopped me before I could ramble, holding my face with both of his hands. "You're the one who pulled me through all those punishments. Otherwise, I would never be able to bear such pain if you're not there."
But still...
"It's all fine now," he assured me with his soothing fruity voice, giving me his lovely smile that I adore.
"Really?"
His eyes crinkled as his smile widened and he nodded cutely. "So what are we doing for my birthday today?"
I snorted lightly. "We what?"
"We're going on a date, you say?" He fake gasped and I couldn't help but snort again. "Of course I would love that, why are you asking? Well then, let's go."
He took my hand in his, intertwining our fingers, and started walking.
"Where are we even going?" I giggled.
He smirked playfully. "I have something in mind."

I screamed when he made me wetter.
"Hey! That's not fair! You can't use two water guns," I yelled at him before shooting water at him in anger.
He swiftly dodged it and wiggled his butt at me, dancing in sheer mockery.
With a huff, I dashed towards him before jumping on him to hold him down. He was caught off guard and fell to the ground with me on top of him.
I took the chance to take out the water bottle from the gun and dumped its content all over his face, making him gasp and rub his face.
"Take that, you cheeky little shit," I sang before cackling, feeling victorious.
"Ahh," he whined and brushed back his damp hair to look up at me properly.
My heart suddenly did a flip when I saw how ridiculously attractive he looked with wet hair, tired but amused expression, panting softly and staring at me with an unreadable expression under me.
I squeaked in surprise when his hands suddenly wrapped around my waist and pulled me down. Flustered beyond I had ever been, I gulped sharply and looked away from his intense gaze.
"Lyn," he purred and I almost lost it.
"W-What," I involuntarily stuttered. It was becoming harder to breathe with the air around us escalating into sexual tension all of a sudden.
"Are you trying to seduce me," he whispered lowly, one of his hands slowly gliding up my back. "Taking me down like this while your wet shirt is exposing your body... Isn't this cheating?"
I cursed myself for not covering my white shirt. It was like I did it on purpose.
"W-Who said that I was going to s-seduce you, pervert!"
His expression softened into a smile. "I'm just teasing you."
While we were looking at each other in comfortable silence, the manager lady suddenly came up to us and said, "Excuse me but your time is up."
Suddenly aware of what kind of a position we were in and in front of others, I quickly jumped off from Jimin, blushing heavily, and walked over to her to make the payment.
"I'll just wait here, in this position," he yelled and the lady turned back to glance between us before snickering. My cheeks got redder.
I looked at back Jimin to glare at him. "If you don't get up, I'm leaving you like this!"
His smirk turned into a boyish smile, and he immediately stood up and jogged up to me before grabbing my hand and placing a kiss on its knuckles.
"You're leaving me on my birthday? How cruel~," he sang with his baby tone.
"It's because you're being an annoying prick."
He hummed and snuggled his face in the crook of my neck out of the blue when the lady turned around and started placing our guns in their places. A jolt of shiver ran down my spine and I took a sharp inhale.
"What the f- Jimin!"
"What's wrong?" His warm breath hit my skin, making me gasp.
"We're in public, perv! That lady will see us when she turns to look at us," I whisper yelled, feeling nervous.
He placed a lingering kiss on my neck before pulling back and standing straight.
Bitc- I looked up at him, glaring.
He scrunched his nose, grinning adorably at me as if he didn't do anything wrong.
I sighed.
He's seductive one second and a baby boy in another...
Give me a break.
