"Maybe you should wear that," I say through a mouthful of chips.
She's wearing a gold sparkly dress that stops midthigh and hugs her body.
"Where are you going again? The first time I didn't hear you." I say.
"I am going to a fancy restaurant, called 'Amelia's Spoon.' I know, weird name, but it's fancy and the food's good."
I look at the dress, it is a but fancy but if she's going somewhere fancy, then it's perfect.
"Yeah, wear this one!" I decide.
"Ok, I'm wearing it, now hair, we did makeup already..."
I nod and smile, she's already got a date, that reminds me of Mali, I feel my face drop.
"Hey what's up?" Harley says while walking over to me, she sits next to me. "I never asked about Malachi's, I'm sorry."
I pull up a fake smile, "it's all good." It is fine that she didn't ask, she's going on a date and I didn't ever want to talk about it.
"No, it's not, what happened?" She asks sympathetically.
"It's ok, let's just go and do your hair." I say.
"No, I'm not going anywhere until you tell me what's upsetting you." She says firmly, she is so stubborn.
"Fine, so you know how I went on that date with Mali and he left saying he was sick and all that?" I say, giving up.
"Yeah, go on."
"Well, it turns out he wasn't sick he was just faking it because someone was being a weirdo and kept looking at me... he went over and bashed him." I mumble.
"I don't see much of a problem...I know he lied to you once, just saying that He was sick." She says.
"No but when I went to his house today, he said he expected me here today and all that jazz with you happened, then I saw something on his face and we go close and kissed..." I fade off.
"Wait what!? You kissed! Why didn't you tell me!" She shouts.
"Ugh, I didn't tell you because I didn't want to bring up what happened after!" I say back, annoyed.
I know I shouldn't be annoyed, but and the moment this is a touchy moment and she is being so annoying!
"Oh... sorry Bailey."
"Anyways... while I was kissing him my hands were on his face and he winced and I looked on my hand and there was makeup on them, then I saw his face and saw faint bruise marks." I say.
She hugs me, "it's alright, I mean everyone makes mistakes, right?" She says then pulls out of the hug.
"I know, but he lied to me and hid stuff, he could've just told the truth... or not bashed that guy." I start defending myself.
"I know, I'm making a bigger deal than what it is, but I'm kind of hurt." I say.
"It's ok to feel this way, just think about it like this; he likes you and he thought he was doing good and helping you when he went over to bash the guy, then afterwards he probably thought you wouldn't want to see him all bloody and yeah." She says.
"Oh yeah, I see, are you saying he likes me?" I ask.
"Definitely, he does." She says making it like she is assuring me.

After she finishes her makeup, with me helping we start talking.
"Hey, do you want to sleepover, maybe on the way to the restaurant we can drop you off and you can get all your stuff and do that, then afterward the date I can pick you up and go to my house."
I nod, sounds like a good idea, "Sure, sounds good."
We sit on the bed looking through our phones at all our social media, waiting for our ride to come; Tobias. When we hear the car pull up, we grab our stuff and go to the kitchen waiting for a knock on the door.
When we hear the knock, we walk over to the door and open it, I look at a very handsome Tobias, who is in a suit with is dirty blonde hair jelled back.
"Hey babe." Harley says to Toby.
I've always been uncomfortable when people call each other babe or baby, I don't know why though, I would call my boyfriend it...If I had a boyfriend.
"Hi, you look beautiful." Tobias says to Harley while looking at her if I have to say, fine body.
Cute! Aw, she hasn't had a boyfriend in a while, ever since, last year, when her boyfriend brutally dumped her over messages. I wanted to hurt him so bad, the bad thing is...he goes to the same school, Hidans High School.
I wave to him and he waves back, "If you don't know I'm Bailey, Harleys best friend." I say as I walk over to him, he sticks his hand out to shake it and so I shake his hand, since when do people shake hands?
"Yeah, she has talked about you..." he replies, obviously uncomfortable.
I smile and nod, "Yeah."
I look over to Harley expectantly.
"Oh, that's right, can we drop her off to her house on the way to dinner, then on the way back to my house can we pick her up?" She asks.
He looks over to me and nods, "sure, no problem."
I smile, knowing that I'm an 'inconvenience.' Suck it up mate, she's my best friend since like...5 years. My Harley is extremely stubborn, if she wants something or wants to do something, she's going to do just that. She gives me exceptions though.
"Shall we go then?" Tobias says.
Watch it Toby, if I don't like you then I'll be coming for you! Break my besties heart...I break your face. Haha, I silently laugh to myself, imagine saying that to him, I can just imagine his shocked face.
I would never say that, Harley would kill me, I mean I don't have to say it when she's there right?
We get in his car and drive all the while Toby and Harley are chatting happily, I think they forgot I'm here and alive, I just zone out looking outside and enjoying the view...
"BAILEY!?" I hear Harley shout.
"Uh yeah? Why'd shout?" I say grumpily, I wasn't paying attention to them.
"Ugh, it doesn't matter, we asked you a question, live 5 times and you still didn't hear! How do you block people out like that?" She says.
I groan, "I don't know, I'm just amazing..." I say
The real reason is...I have to block people out every day, (In my brain) and I wasn't focusing because I was in somebody brain...
She looks over to me and I give her the look, the look that says, my powers.... you dipstick!
I look out the window again, there's my baby.
"That's my house!" I say to Toby, while pointing at the biggest house with the largest amount of land, I don't know why, we don't own any animals or anything.
"The property that has the big driveway?" Tobias asks.
"Yep" I say while nodding.
He pulls in and drives up, "Wow the drive way is longer than it looks." He says.
And I will never understand why, it's not like we have any reason for it! When we reach the end, I hop out of the car.
"Thanks so much!" I say, showing my gratitude.
I run to the door and remember that I forgot to bring my keys to Harleys, I put my phone on the table near the door and run down to the familiar tree and climb it.
When I reach a certain point I feel around, it's dark so I can hardly see, I feel the familiar shape and feel of the spare key. We decided to hide the key in the most unexpected place, a tree.
I go inside and relax on the couch watching tv, my stomach growls so I go to the fridge and grab a salad mix, I tip the last of it into a bowl and tip some salad dressing on it.

I run over to the car with my milkshake in my hand.
"Hey!" I shout, I open the door an throw my bag in I follow it straight after and sit down.
"How was your date?" I ask.
Harley turns around with a big smile and says, "it was great, we had a load of fun."
"Not too much fun?" I say jokingly.
I immediately regret my decision of saying that when the car goes into awkward silence. I must break this awkwardness!
"Anyways... how was the food." I ask.
"It was great, aye Toby?" She says.
"Uhuh, it was amazing!" He says.
I guess I do like Toby, a lot. He seems like he could be great friends with Logan and I.

"No, don't fall for him, he isn't right for you!" I say to the computer screen.
Harley and I are lying in bed watching a movie, eating popcorn and chocolate, the best ever, if you combine the popcorn and chocolate, just yum.
"So, are you going to talk to Mali tomorrow? Like at school" Harley says.
"I guess," I say still distracted by the movie.
I see her and go to the pause button, no she isn't and she does, she pauses it.
"Noooo!" I shout.
I grab the pillow that is underneath be and hit her on the head, she shakes her head and widens her mouth.
"Oh, you didn't!" She shouts.
"I did!" I shout back.
She gets up and grabs 2 pillows and starts getting my head, I grab a pillow and a plush teddy bear an start hitting her.
"Not the teddy!" She says frantically.
We start laughing and sit down on the bed, I bring my pinkie out and say, "Truce?"
She nods and we do the 'pinkie promise' ritual.
"But seriously... Malachi?" she says.
"Ugh, him. Well I guess if I talk to him then... I talk to him." I reply.
She rolls her eyes.
"You have to be the one to go up to him!" She says.
I throw my head back a lie down in frustration.
"I'm going to go up to him an apologise... for over reacting..." I tell her reluctantly.
If I say to Harley that I'm going to do this, I have to, if you make a decision and don't want to go back on it...tell Harley.
She smiles and says, "That's my girl."
I see her check the time, "we should go to bed!" She whispers.
"Why? What time is it?" I whisper back.
