Chapter twenty three – Beach House?
I walked downstairs with a killer headache. I tried brushing my teeth and washing my face but I still felt very ill feeling.
I made it down at the end of the stairs as I headed to the kitchen to find some tablet.
“Morning princess.” I turned around to the voice, I turned around to quickly. I put my hand on my temple as I felt nearly sick again.
“Whoa, are you okay?” Ryder asked coming closer to me.
“I’m fine.”
He smiled. “Good.”
“Good?”
“Yeah, because were going somewhere today, so you better be okay.” I furrowed my eyebrows. Where the hell are we going?
I crossed my arms. “Where?”
He tapped the tip of my nose with his index finger. “Ah, but princess that will remain as a secret.” I tried to look at my nose when he tapped it.
He grinned as he got a glass of water and some aspirin. “Drink up.”
“Thank you.” I said taking it away from his hand as my hand and his slightly brushed against each other, I felt sparks fly.
My eyes widen at what I was feeling, so I quickly drank the water and the medicine.
Hopefully everything will be fine, I was just feeling these things because I’m still hung over, right?
“Don’t worry, it’s not going to be just us. Chloe and Adam are coming as well, oh and Ky.” I crossed my arms over my chest, why won’t he tell me? So what I don’t like surprises.
“If you don’t tell me, then I’m not going.” He rolled his eyes and he came closer to me and gave me a puppy dog eyes.
“Please Princess, for me.” I looked away from him, as I heard him slightly chuckle. He was finding this amusing because I obviously was close to falling for it.
I give up. “Fine!” he smiled brightly.
“Get your stuff ready and I’ll meet you downstairs in 20 minutes.” He said happily.
I can’t believe he just tricked me.

“You knew about this as well?” I asked Chloe.
She put her hands up in surrender. “Hey, I was told to pack my stuff. I didn’t know we were coming here.” She said looking in amazement.
Judging by her face, she was right. The view is pretty amazing, who wouldn’t want to come here.
I couldn’t let Ryder know I was actually starting like this place, I couldn’t give him the satisfaction.
I turned around arms crossed, as Ryder smiled brightly. “Why this place?”
He sighed smiling, “This is my grandmothers beach house, who doesn’t like this place.” He said staring around the place, he was right who doesn’t like this place.
“But why did you bring everyone here?”
He sighed. “Because I wanted to show you I can be different, not all the time I’m cocky alright.” My lips part and my arms came unloose.
He was trying to change, that’s what.
“Well then, what are you waiting for?” his brows furrowed.
Boys are so dumb these days, I thought.
I came closer to him. “Show me, you could be different. Be you.” He smiled to himself, I walked away smiling secretly.

I had nothing to do, so instead I decided to sun bathe. Chloe decided to sleep next to the other chair. As I carried on sun bathing waiting for something to happen, but it never did. I slightly frowned, I was actually waiting for Ryder do to something, but he didn’t. He didn’t show up.
I shook away the thoughts and continued sun bathing. Until someone blocked the sun, which made me pull my sunglasses away.
“Hey, who put the su-…” Ryder smirked.
My eyes immediately went to his body, he was shirtless only wearing board shorts. He was showing off his 6 pack and right now I was definitely staring too long. He was doing this on purpose. I ignored him, which made him surprised.
I layed back down on the chair and put on my sunglasses on. “Can you move please, I haven’t quite finished sunbathing.”
I felt him take the sun glasses off of me. “Hey!-…” I tried to get it from him but he was too tall.
“Come and get it from me then,” he said running away with my glasses.
He didn’t have to tell me twice, I already started running after him. “Ryder you better give it back!” I yelled as I carried on calling for his name.
Ryder was laughing at me until he fell back, I was too close to him so I fell down with him as well.
“OOFH!” we both said.
I heard laughter coming from Ryder as his chest started vibrating. I looked up at Ryder as I started laughing along with him. I don’t know why we were laughing, maybe because we both were acting like bunch of kids, but whatever the reason was it made me feel different with Ryder.
A good different.
I smiled at Ryder, he smiled back. We both locked glances as he took his opportunity to lean in, which made me close my eyes. I could feel his breath on my lips, I just wanted his lips smashed against mine already. Ryder cupped my face ready to kiss me but we got interrupted.
“Hey man-…” Ky started saying until he saw us, we both quickly parted. Ky grinned, “Hey carry on guys, I’m sorry that I even interrupted you.” I narrowed my eyes at him, while Ryder looked like he was about to punch him which made Ky turn his grin into a smirk.
Ryder got up as he gave me a hand and I accepted. So glad I was only wearing white shorts and a black tank crop top.
“Shut up Ky!” Ky put his hands up in surrender. “So where did you go?”
“Head over to the surf board shop.” I felt a little uncomfortable that I’m between Ky and Ryder.
I wonder if Chloe was awake? But then she would be with Adam.
“Listen, there’s this movie going on around here. You want to watch?” my head turned to Ryder.
Jokingly Ky said, “Sure I’ve got nothing to do.” Ryder turned his head away from me and narrowed his eyes at Ky.
Ky laughed as he started walking. “Have fun you two!” he yelled.
I looked at Ryder. “Is he okay?”
He shrugged. “Seems good to me.” We both stared at Ky as he walked away. I felt Ryder turning his head to me. “So you want to go watch that movie?” I smiled at him being nervous, it’s the first time actually.
“Yeah sure, but what movie?”
He scratched the back of his neck. “Titanic.” he then coughed it off.
I put my hand over my lips, stopping myself from laughing.
He looked at me before walking away, maybe I took it too far. “Ryder wait!” I said catching up to him. “I was just laughing because, I didn’t take you seriously for a guy who watches sad, sappy movies.” His lips slightly twitched.
That little prick! He was tricking me.
I slapped him on the arm. “Ow!” I smiled this time. “Okay I deserved that.” I walked away from him.
He caught up with me. “But I do have to admit, your pretty sexy when your angry.” My eyes widen, “No girl has ever slapped me before.”
My face was burning in embarrassment. “Oh, get a grip!” I said walking away from him again.
I heard him laughing until it got quiet, I didn’t look behind. I felt someone’s hand wrapped around my wrist. As he pulled me back and made me crash into his chest.
My eyes widen as I saw Ryder smirking. “Come on Princess, don’t running away from me, it’s hurting my feelings.” I rolled my eyes at him. “Will you come the movies with me? Okay maybe I pushed it too far but please?” I smiled, as I quickly kissed him on the cheek. His cheek was slightly pink which made me chuckle.
“Yes, I’ll go with you.” I felt his arms unloosen around my wrist, “See you later.” I said walking off the beach house.

“Are you crying?” I asked looking amused at Ryder.
He shook his head, looking away from me. “No, I just have something in my eyes.”
I nod. “Oh, I mean I could have sworn I saw some tear roll down your cheek.” I grinned looking at the ending, I could feel him tense up like I found out he was crying. Serves him right, I found out.
Throughout the half of the movie, Ryder would try and get me back at what I did to him. I could constantly slap his hand away from my leg. He would try and tease me, he got his hand out and run his hand on my thigh and I was wearing a dress that time, I went so red I was glad it was dark. He would just get riser and riser on my thigh, so I had to slap his hand countless of times.
“Come on, let’s go. The movies finished. You can stop crying now.” I said walking away grinning on the way out.
I heard footsteps catching up to me. “For your information, I wasn’t crying. I told you there was something in my eyes.”
I stopped looking at him with my eye brows raised. “Okay so what was in your eye?”
He looked around thinking about something, “P-Pop corn.” He said unsurely. I rolled my eyes and carried on walking.
“You don’t need to lie, I find it cute that you cried.” I realised what I had said, ‘Madison why did you say cute?!’ he smirked this time.
“You find me cute?”
I rolled my eyes at his cocky personality again. “I said I find it cute that you cried at the movies.”
Ryder didn’t say anything to my surprise.
Instead he grabbed my waist by surprise. “What the-...”
“There’s guys staring at you, and I’m so close to punching them.” He was jealous. I found a couple of guys staring at me one of them winking at me, Ryder’s jealous.
“Aw! Is Ryder a little jealous?” I said in a childish tone.
He wrapped his hand around my waist tighter. “Yes,” he surprised at what he said next. “Because your my girl.”
I let out a nervous chuckle. “I’m not your girl,” he frowned slightly before replacing a smirk.
“You soon will be.”

RYDER’S P.O.V
We made it back to the beach house after me and Madison started talking about what we wanted to do for the future, she wanted to do something help her father’s business out. I wanted to also help my father out, maybe me and Madison might even have to work together.
We were at the beach house and surprise it was quiet, where did everyone even go?
“Where is everyone?” I ask, Madison shrugged.
We both turned our head when we heard the door open. “Hey guys, how was the movie? And did he cry?” Ky asked Madison the last question.
Madison smiled, “The movie was great and no he didn’t cry, there was something in his eyes unfortunately.”
I narrowed my eyes at him. “Have you seen Chloe and Adam?” I asked ignoring both of them laughing, which made me angry, yes I was jealous.
Ky shook his head. “No, they were still here when I left.”
I took out my phone from my pocket as I turned on the phone, we had to keep it silence at the movie.
25 missed calls from Adam
“Something wrong?” Madison asked.
I nodded. “Adam’s called me 25 times; I’m going to call him.”
RING
RING
RIN-..
“Adam? Where are you man?” I asked, as I heard him panting. “Adam?!” I asked worriedly .
I was about to call his name again, until I heard a sob. “Ryder, man.” Is Adam crying?
“What is he saying?” Ky asked as Madison looked at me worriedly.
I shrugged at the both of them. “Adam, what’s happening? Where are you both?”
I heard him cry. “H-Hospital.” What is he doing at the hospital with Chloe?
Wait Chloe.
“Did something happen to Chloe?” I asked, this made Madison tense up.
“What happened to Chloe?” Madison asked concerned, I was to grab her into a tight hug. She looked close to crying.
“I don’t know,” I said to her. “Adam you have to tell me, I won’t know if you won’t say anything.”
He cried even harder, “Ryder man, Chloe’s had miscarriage.” My mouth suddenly went dry as I looked at Madison worriedly for her concern. As I could hear Chloe crying, constant scream in the background, Adam telling her to be quiet. All I could think about is Madison and how she’ll react.

I promised you guys I would update faster right? Well here you go! I hope you enjoyed this chapter and few scenes of Ryder and Madison getting along ;) Ignore the grammar mistakes, I will edit everything once this story is finished. Speaking of finished, this story is nearly finishing and it’s sad to say we have to eventually let this story go. But I will most probably finish this story at chapter 30 something not sure but there is still more to come! :D
