Y/n's POV
I woke up to the unpleasant noice of a cup being moved along the bars of the cell
Guard: Get up. The boss wants to see you
I lazily got out of my uncomfortable bed and walked out of my cell. The guard brought me to a room where Liz was sitting on the chair.
Liz: Y/n. Please, sit down.
I did as I was told and sat down
Y/n: I thought you would be at school?
Liz: Not today. I'm "not feeling well". Anyway, that's not why you're here. How was yesterday
Fear appeared in my eyes. Did she know about my conversation with Peter. No Y/n, don't think about that.
Y/n: It was fine.
Liz: Are you sure? Because looking in the cameras I had all around the city, you were by my school AGAIN
Y/n: Yes but I-
Liz: And then you thought you had the right to talk to my boyfriend and make him cry. Like, who does that!
I was starting to get angry now.
Y/n: Well he was miserable beforehand because of you.
Liz walked up to me and slapped me round the face. I didn't care. She deserved it
Liz: Anyway, I have a job for you.
Great! Not.
Liz: This time, you need to go upstate to the Avengers Compound. They have some of my dad's old tech and we need it to break daddy out of jail
Y/n: Liz! Come on! This is the Avengers Compound we are talking about. The security is super tight. I would never get in the without getting caught.
Liz: You're right. You will go to avengers tower dressed as a homeless kid and when they invite you inside, steal their stuff. Understand?
Y/n: Yes Liz
I went to the room that had all the costumes and dressed as a homeless kid.
I left the facility and walked for miles until I reached my destination. I got to the door and rang the buzzer
Peter: Hello?
No! No! No! I can't do this. Peter will know it's me, even under all this makeup. For his safety, I try to keep doing my act and tell myself just not to show my face
Y/n: Hello? Can you help me please. My mum and dad are dead and I have nowhere to go. I have no food or water and I really don't want to steal. Help me please
From the buzzer I hear a faint voice and realise it's Tony Stark. I can't do this but I have to otherwise she will kill Peter
Tony: Kid, whose there?
Peter: Just some girl who lives on the streets.
He said that with such bitterness that my heart sank
Tony: Well lets at least let her in for a meal
Y/n: Really? Thank you so much
The doors opened and I did a 360 turn, admiring the view. Unfortunately, I get taken out of my trance when I remember my mission
Tony: Hello there. My name is Tony and this is Peter. What's your name?
Y/n: Um, it's er-
Peter: *mumbles* wow doesn't even know her own name
I looked down and started to cry. What was going on with Peter? Why is he being a douche? This couldn't have been because of yesterday, could it?
Y/n: I'm sorry, but what's your problem?
Peter: Excuse me?
Y/n: I need help and your being so bitter. I thought you were better then this Peter
Shoot! My hand suddenly flew to my mouth when I realised what I said. I knew Liz had cameras everywhere so she probably knows what just happened. I ran as fast as I could but Peter was faster. He caught up to me and grabbed my wrist
Peter: Who the hell are you?
Y/n: No one special
I suddenly teleported to the only place I felt safe- the rooftop by the school. I sat there and thought about the day before. How I ruined my friendship with Peter, causing him to act like this. I felt so alone, like no one cared about me anymore. I took a step towards the edge before I hear a voice.
SM: Ma'm. Stop
I turned around with bloodshot eyes
SM: You? Who are you?
I couldn't believe he didn't recognise me. This makeup is good. I showed my face more and wiped off my make up
Peter's POV
*The day before*
I stood there as the realisation hit me like a truck- I just lost my best friend again.
I swung over to the compound, heartbroken
I went through my window and saw Mr Stark sitting on my bed
Tony: Hey kid, how'd it go
Peter: I uh don't want to talk about it. Can you see where she is?
Tony: Yeah Kid, I need to tell you something. We um- she is offline
Peter: What do you mean?
Tony: Something happened to the tracker. We don't know where she is
I ran my hand through my hair and tears fell down my cheeks
Peter: S-so that means I won't see her again?
Tony: Kid, I told you I would find her and I will. Don't worry.
He left my room and I did my homework. Luckily, Mr Stark had a talk with Aunt May and the both agreed I could stay here until the whole situation dies down.
I had dinner and continued my book from the other day and ended up falling asleep.
I suddenly woke up to Mr Stark in my room
Tony: Kid, are you alright?
Peter: What do you mean?
Tony: You were screaming in your sleep so I woke you up.
After Mr Stark finished his sentence, the dream came back into my head. It was a replay of after school. Tears ran down my face and, surprisingly, Mr Stark pulled me in for a hug
Tony: It's going to be alright Peter.
Now get some sleep. You don't have to go to school tomorrow
Peter: Thank you Mr Stark.
I woke up in a bad mood. I went to grab some toast when I heard the buzzer.
Peter: Hello?
Y/n: Hello? Can you help me please. My mum and dad are dead and I have nowhere to go. I have no food or water and I really don't want to steal. Help me please
The voice sounded a bit familiar, but where I was so tired, I couldn't think properly. Suddenly I heard Mr Stark's voice. Where did he come from?
Tony: Kid, whose there?
Peter: Just some girl who lives on the streets.
After I said that, I heard how rude it sounded. What's going on?
Tony: Well lets at least let her in for a meal
Y/n: Really? Thank you so much
Me and Mr Stark went to the entrance hall and saw the girl admiring the view
Tony: Hello there. My name is Tony and this is Peter. What's your name?
Y/n: Um, it's er-
Peter: *mumbles* wow doesn't even know her own name
PETER!!!! What the hell is going on with me?
Y/n: I'm sorry, but what's your problem?
Peter: Excuse me?
Y/n: I need help and your being so bitter. I thought you were better then this Peter
What? How does she know me? It couldn't be? Could it?
She started running but I was faster and caught up to her.
Peter: Who the hell are you?
Y/n: No one special
She suddenly teleported and my assumption grew. I swung to where we were the day before, hoping that she would be there.
I got there and I saw her standing up and taking a step towards the edge
SM: Ma'm. Stop
She turned around and I could see that she had been crying
SM: You? Who are you?
I really hoped it was Y/n and that my hell would be over. She removed the cloth from her face and wiped the dust and dirt.
Peter: Y/n?
I ran up to her and hugged her until she pushed away.
Y/n: Peter. You need to get out of here.
Peter: No Y/n. I'm not leaving you.
Suddenly I felt a sharp pain in my side and collapsed to the ground.
Peter*weakly* Karen, call Mr Stark
