"Babe, are you sure you're gonna be alright?"
(Y/N) smiled at her worried boyfriend and patted his head softly, fixing the lopsided bandana on his forehead.
"Jinnie, you're cute and all, but you have to stop worrying so much," she giggled. "I'm gonna be fine. I'll just call Paula and ask her to accompany me."
"That won't work, baby," he says. "Paula's already at the venue to support us, specifically Minho. She won't be here to take care of you."
"Then I'll just have my cousins come over here," she shrugged. "Maybe they'll be available."
Hyunjin sighed and looked up at the digital clock beside the bed, and saw that it was one hour before the start of the Idol Star Athletics Championships. And he was still at home with his girlfriend.
"I just don't want to leave you alone," he pouted. "With your leg and all."
As an idol, Hyunjin understood his girlfriend so much. (Y/N), who was the leader of the newest JYP girl group, Crown, had to deal with much stress and can sometimes encounter unfortunate events.
Like the one that had happened just two days ago.

"Babe, I don't know if that's anywhere near safe."
(Y/N) smiled and shook her head as she fastened the belt around her waist, pulling on it to make sure that it was secure enough to hold her in place.
"Relax, Hyunjin," she laughed. "I'm gonna be fine."
"Babe, this is your first time doing an aerial show," Hyunjin whines. "I'm scared that something might happen to you."
"Then stop thinking those kinds of things," she says. "You know what some people say—the more you think about it, the higher chance of it happening."
"Can't they just choose another member?" Hyunjin says. "I mean, look at your members. Like Jiae and Aki. They do that kind of stuff more often."
"Are you saying that I can't do what my members can?" (Y/N) asked, feigning offense.
Hyunjin immediately shook his head, scared that he had offended his girlfriend. "No, I didn't mean it like that," he waved his hands frantically. "I'm just worried. But I know you'll do great."
(Y/N) giggled, "I'm just messing with you. But for real, I'll be careful, I promise."

"You told me you'll be careful."
(Y/N) pouted, "I did! It was the harness."
"Yeah, right."
Hyunjin touched her leg with his pointer finger and let his pad trace the elastic bandage that was wrapped around his girlfriend's injured leg.
"I don't want to leave you alone," Hyunjin squeaks out cutely and places his head on her stomach. "I won't be able to focus on the games without you there with me."
"I'll just watch it through live," (Y/N) shrugged and threaded her fingers through his hair, feeling the softness of his fabric-like strands softly brushing against her skin. "Don't worry so much about me."
"Why don't you come with me?" he suggested for the nth time. "I'll be there to take care of you from time to time, and when I need to play I can leave you with the staff—"
"Jinnie, I'll be fine," (Y/N) cut him off and pinched his cheek softly. "I promise."
"Fine," Hyunjin pouted and sat up, jutting out his bottom lip, making him look a hundred times more adorable than he already is. "Just don't move too much so you won't hurt yourself."
"Okay."
"Remember to call me if anything happens, and for the love of God don't try to stand up—"
"But what if I need to pee?" (Y/N) asked. "I can't just lie in bed all day."
"Just pee in a bottle or something, I don't know," Hyunjin shrugged. "Please, take care of yourself, alright? Try to rest. The food's near you—it's within your reach. I'll be back before you know it."
(Y/N) smiled and opened her arms wide open for Hyunjin to go and dive in for a warm bear hug, which he did. He wrapped his arms around her torso and nuzzled his face against the crook of her neck, kissing the skin before him softly.
"I love you," he whispered against her neck. "I love you so much."
(Y/N) could feel her heart melting into a very warm puddle of emotions, all bursting in rainbows and sparkles and sunshine, every single thing exploding with her deepest affections just for her lover.
"I love you too," she giggled and pecked the shell of his ear before slapping his butt twice. "Now get your ass out of here, you're late, Mr. Hwang."
Hyunjin smiled and kissed his girlfriend's forehead once more before standing up and grabbing his bag, going out of the house and into the awaiting van for him.

"Man, what took you so long?"
Hyunjin shrugged and fixed his name tag, jogging in place while looking at Changbin. "I can't leave my girl right away," he says. "She's alone."
"Doesn't she have friends to accompany her?" Seungmin quipped and bit into his banana.
Hyunjin shook his head, "All of them got plans and are too busy with their jobs. I wanted (Y/N) to come with, but she refused. So now I'm missing her like crazy." He started pouting like the cutie he is, but all it did was annoy Seungmin.
"Hyunjin, we're on in five," Chan said, poking his head through the door frame. Hyunjin nodded and walked out of the room, with Seungmin in tow.

The game started with archery, which was Stray Kids's danceracha's game. They were battling with The Boyz' Younghoon, Hyunjae, and Juyeon.
Stray Kids dance line were the first ones to play, and Minho was challenging Hyunjae. Minho had scored 26 points, hitting a bull's eye and two eight points while Hyunjae earned 27 points for his team, scoring a bull's eye, a nine, and an eight. Felix's opponent was Younghoon, whom he defeated with 26 points, whereas Younghoon earned 22 points.
It was now time for Hyunjin to compete against Juyeon. The fanbases of both idol groups started to cheer for each of their representatives, shouting chants and waving their lightsticks and banners furiously.
Hyunjin stood a few meters away from the target, holding his bow in his shaky hands. He took a few breaths to calm himself down, and when he pulled out an arrow, he heard a familiar voice scream from the crowd. He looked to the side and saw (Y/N) in her wheelchair, with her friend Paula standing behind her. They were both present, cheering for Stray Kids with their lightsticks and bright smiles.
"GO HWANG HYUNJIN!" (Y/N) yelled. Many other STAYs followed after recognizing the idol's girlfriend, and Hyunjin instantly felt a surge of warmth course through his veins.
The signal rang, and Hyunjin took aim, focusing on the bull's eye. The stadium went quiet, and for a split second he hesitated but he let go of the arrow, and it hit home on nine points. Many people cheered at Hyunjin's first shot, and he smiled nervously, knowing that the opposing team are only twelve points away.
After a few seconds Juyeon took aim, and scored eight points for The Boyz. Now it was down to a four-point gap.
Hyunjin planned to widen the gap, that's why on his second shot he earned nine points—and howls and cheers from his members and from STAYs. He spared the crowd a glance, and there he saw (Y/N) waving her lightstick in the air while shooting him finger hearts which he gladly returned.
Again, Juyeon held his bow and closed one eye, aiming for the bull's eye. And then, when the signal blared, he let go of the arrow, hitting home on the yellow circle. He scored nine points for The Boyz.
It was a tight match. Stray Kids scored 70 points while The Boyz had earned 66 points. Everyone wanted their faves to win. And Hyunjin's final aim will say it all.
Said male could feel the pressure weighing down on his shoulders. Breathing in and out deeply, he held his bow and took a polished arrow, closed one eye and took his plump bottom lip in between his teeth. The alarm sounded, and he let go of the arrow.
Time seemed to go really slowly for everyone. It was the shot that will define if Stray Kids will move forward to the final match against NCT or if The Boyz will be the ones to compete against the SM artists.
When the arrow was in place on the target, everyone cheered and The Boyz clapped for Stray Kids, nodding at them in congratulations. Even Juyeon clapped his hands, gripping his bow and shooting it after the alarm went off just for formality.
Hyunjin had hit the bull's eye, while Juyeon scored another nine.
The final score was calculated. It was 80-75.
The cheers and yells of STAYs echoed throughout the stadium. (Y/N) and her friend chanted along with the fans, screaming the words, "STRAY KIDS EVERYWHERE ALL AROUND THE WORLD."
Hyunjin was all smiles. He bowed and waved at the crowd before running off to the side, heading for the entrance to the grounds. Some were confused about his sudden departure, but all were cooing and cheering again when the audience saw Hyunjin run up the stairs and to his girlfriend.
He greeted her with tight hugs and sloppy kisses, while Minho followed shortly to greet his beloved in the same way. The fans backed away and watched the couples do their thing, as they were all happy that their idols are happy.
Minho pulled his girl away from the audience and dragged her back to the dressing rooms, leaving Hyunjin and (Y/N) among the crowd.
"I thought you couldn't make it," Hyunjin says into her ear as his arms run up and down her shoulders.
"You thought," (Y/N) giggled as she placed a kiss on his slightly sweaty nose. "I had Paula come to our flat to fetch me because I want to support you guys personally. Couldn't miss my boy's game for the world."
"Aww, I love you so much," Hyunjin smiled and hugged her, all the while mindful of her injured leg. "I love you, you know that?"
"I know," (Y/N) giggles as she continues to hug him back just as tight, "I love you too. Very much."
"They're so sweet," one of the emcees suddenly said. The couple looked up at the screen only to see Nayeon, the one who spoke up, giggled as she made kissy faces.
Hyunjin only laughed as he removed his grip from his girlfriend and pecked her lips over and over again.
"I love you," he says. "Promise me you won't get injured anymore so you can get to play next season. I miss having my baby with me."
(Y/N) rolled her eyes, "Yeah, yeah. I love you too, you big baby."
