I hug Andrew and hold him till I stop crying. Andrew has been so supportive and tolerant of me and my career. he told me if I love it, he would support me. if only Y/n could see the beautiful baby boy she gave birth to. everything about him reminds me of her
~8 years later~
Andrews 13 now and he's learned to keep track of my moments of panic when no one asked him to. he keeps track so he can be there to help. today we're just hanging out and I didn't expect him to ask the question he did,
"daddy, what was mom like?" after those words left his mouth I gulped "well, she was kind. she struggled a lot to keep herself alive, she had a lot of demons. but she was the kindest and soulful person you would have every met" I said remembering just how amazing my fiancée was
"why did she leave?" Andrew asked "she didn't leave. she was taken, by her father. he took her somewhere no one could find her. all he wants to do is hurt mommy" I told him kneeling in front of him.
he looked down at me not knowing what to say next so I placed my hand on his cheek and said "if it was up to mom she wouldn't have left" I told him and he nodded while smiling
"well I have to go to work so be good for the nanny okay?" he nodded smiling as he waved goodbye before turning around and going back inside
Andrew's POV
once daddy was gone I turned to my nanny Emily "lets play hide and seek" I said faking a smile and she nodded. she was seeking for 50 seconds cause this house is big. I went to my dads office and got on his computer and looked up my grandpa's name. it showed he own a ware house 20 miles away, just outside of town.
I printed it and folded it putting it in my back pocket before the door opened "found you" Emily said and I smiled. we played the game for a bit then we ate and I 'got ready for bed' when I knew Emily was asleep and daddy wasn't home yet I grabbed my backpack and stuffed it with water and a few snacks that wont go bad. then I grabbed my pocket knife that I was borrowing from a friend next door.
I snuck out the front door and kept walking. I followed the directions on the piece of paper I printed. about 2 hours later I arrived. I looked at my watch and it said 2 am
I opened the door and slowly walked in. the thing about this place is that it looked like no one lived in it so I could blow it off as exploring if I got caught.
I searched every room in the warehouse in the next hour and found nothing. I sat on the floor in the biggest room next to the entrance and thought about what I should do next. I got up and was going to head home and get some sleep and try again another day
then I stepped on something that caught my ear. a creak. I looked down and noticed that floor bored was different from the rest. I bent over and listed it up to see and underground space with a ladder
it looked to be a single room. I slowly climbed down the ladder making sure the lid wouldn't close if I let go.
I saw someone in the corner. a woman. she was bruised and beaten, but she was asleep. I looked around the room as I slowly walked towards her. I saw tools, but the had blood all over everyone of them.
once I reached the lady I knelt down next to her sleeping body, luckily she had clothes on but they were bloody and torn.
I place my warm hand on her cold body and gently nudge her afraid I would break her "ma'am wake up" I said softly and soon there was a grunt and she brought her head out from her knees and I saw her face
Mom
I recognize her from the pictures dad has around the house
"now what's a little kid like you doing down here?" she asked her voice was destroyed which made me sad. I pulled out my phone and I didn't have signal. "I'm here to save you. but we need to get out of this hole first so I can call the police." I said and she nodded
half way up the ladder she started asking a few questions
"how old are you?" she asked "I'll be 14 next month" I said as we finally got out of the hole. I dialed 911 "hello?" someone on the other side said
"yes this I'm calling from a warehouse in downtown Seoul and I found a victim of kidnapping. she's badly hurt and needs help" I said and I gave the lady the information were I was before I hung up and went back to my mom
"do your parents usually let you out this late?" she asked with a giggle and I shook my head "my dad was at work and I waited for the nanny to go to sleep before I snuck out" I said sitting next to her on the ground against a wall. I reached in my bag and pulled out some food and a water bottle
"here have some" I said
"it like you wanted to find me" she said with a smile happily taking the food and water. I took out a first aid kit I stole from our kitchen and started treating her wounds as best as I could. "well that's cause I did" I said and she hissed at the pain
"what do you mean?" she asked
"my dad has been looking and waiting for you for years and no one has found you since you left almost 8 years ago. so I decided I was going to look for you since the police gave up. and this was my first stop" I explained
"who's your father?" she asked me with a serious tone "I'll save you the trouble" I said and she looked a bit confused "it's nice to see you again Mom"
she still looked confused for a minute before it hurt her "Andrew?" she asked and I nodded she used what little strength she had to hug me "I'm glad you're okay mom" I said hugging her back not wanting to be released from her warm embrace
just then she gasped and moved in front of me. I looked to see what was going on and there was a man with a gun aimed at my mom. I slowly reached into my open backpack and grabbed the pocket knife I brought without breaking eye contact
"oh so this is the one you hid from me all those years ago. you tried to keep him away form me but look. he's here now. my grandson" it was him. the one who caused mom and dad so much pain. I cant let him get away with hurting my family the way he did
I slowly stood up now looking at the ground. I heard him shift most likely now aiming the gun at me "get down" mom said and I shook my head. I crouched down beside her. "I gotta teach this man a lesson for hurting you. and dad" I kissed her cheek "I'll be fine" I said smiling softly at her and she nodded but she never took her eyes off me
I had the knife in my back pocket where he couldn't see it. I walked up to him "heh, so you thought you could just break our family apart. cause my father so much pain that somedays I, his own son cant talk him into getting out of bed or to stop crying as he falls asleep at night. you took my mom away and the only one in the whole world that wasn't effected was you. you bastard" I said and charged at him with my knife in hand
with one hand I knocked the gun out of his hand and with the other I placed the knife on his neck "you little-"
"you little what? if you were about to say genius then you're right" I said with a smirk as I can clearly see him getting angry at the fact I have the upper hand
I made a small cut on his neck before the front door opened with a bang and I shoved the man in front of me toward the police and they took care of him. soon my dad ran in and hugged me "don't ever run off like that ever again you hear me?"
"Dad look who I-"
"no talking, you are grounded for 2 weeks"
"but dad loo-"
"I said no talking do you know how worried I was? you-" this time I cut him off
"DAD!! listen to me, I want you to meet who I rescued" I said and he looked confused "you saved someo-" this time he cut himself off while letting go of me
Y/n POV
I watched how Hobi took care of Andrew and how Andrew took care of Hobi. they were a family. I wonder how they would feel if I just came and butted in like I'm about to do. they were talking and then Hobi looked over at me and his eyes widened.
he let go of Andrew and I ran to him using all the energy I had from Andrew taking care of me. he lifted me into his arms and held me close "oh Y/n I thought I lost you" he said in my ear and then Andrew came over once he let me go and let me stand
then we had this moment where we hugged and enjoyed having each other around
"I just cant believe Andrew beat me to saving you" Hobi said and pouted "it's okay your both are my hero's
my wounds where treated and after a few months I was released from the hospital.
and after that it was pretty much happily ever after.
oh you wont believe it!!
be and Hobi had another kid. we named her Hope. cause she's going to be someone's hope one day
Andrew got married to a beautiful and kind woman who had a kid and just got out of an abusive relationship. they got married 1 year after dating. Andrew was 22 when he got married to her and they had 3 more kids
