"Arh!I hate you"Ara yells as she slams the door to her bedroom as hard as she could and stomps to her bed,Falling down face first in her pillows
Severus sighs and sits down on the couch,
She doesn't understand that Diana will never get up,And I don't want to give her...false hope,Severus thinks as she puts his head in his hand
When Ara and Severus got home he tried explaining to Ara that Diana will not ever move or talk,But Ara said she saw her mothers lips move and that whoever said that they wouldn't is stupid,It turned into one big yelling match and Ara told Snape she hated him for the first time,And It did hurt Severus.
Severus stood up and smoothed out his robes leaving a note to Ara that dinner was in the fridge and he was going to be out late to see Dumbledore,He felt bad for lieing but he didn't want to tell his eleven year old daughter about his drinking problems.
Ara looked up at her desk and seen the pile of homework waiting to be done,She sighed and got to work on her history,But in the back of her head all she could think about what her mother and what she was trying to say,And why Severus and Primrose didn't believe her,She new she wasn't seeing things and yet they still didn't want to believe her,Why would she lie about this types of things,
She sucked in a breath and started to get to work,
Later that night Ara started to get hungry and started to wonder why Severus didn't come to check up on her,Actually she hadn't heard anything since she stomped to her room,That's when the brick of guilt hit her,She didn't really mean she hated Severus,He wouldn't listen to her and it made her mad.
She got up from her chair and looked up for the first time in what felt like hours,A half moon was out and their were stars here and their,Stretching her arms she opens her door and calls out"Er...Severus?"
Silence
"Severus?"She trys again but the only sound she gets is the fire crackling and and wind blowing outside,She furrows her eyebrows and walks downstairs,It was warm but their was no sign of her guardian Severus,She walked into the kitchen and found a piece of paper on the counter
'Ara,
Albus called on me for a meeting about the last months of school,Do your homework while I'm gone and I put dinner in the fridge and get to bed.

Ara scoffs at the letter,He acts so high up and professional.
Stupid Slytherin.Says something in the back of Ara's mind but she ignores it and opens the fridge as she was super hungry.
Meanwhile at the Weasley house,Molly and Ginny where cleaning up the table,Arther,Ron,George and Percy where downstairs,Percy paying more attention to his homework then his family.
Well,That left Fred up in his room,Hunched over his desk,His mother thought it was a miracle and he was doing homework,His brother thought he was writing new top secret plans for pranks,But what was actually going on in that room was far beyond anyone thoughts
Fred Gideon Weasley was writing a love letter to Ara Lynx Black!
What?You say.A love letter?
Yes a love letter,
All he could think about was Ara,She was stuck in his brain and all he wanted was for her to tell him she loved him,He didn't care about the age gap,Anyone who did was an idiot in Fred's mind because they had been best friends for years and he loved her for that same amount of time.
He poured his heart and soul on that piece of parchment,He scribbled down everything he thought about her then read it over,When he was satisfied with his work he folded the letter then was about to give it to his owl
This could ruin your friendship with her,You know she doesn't feel the same way,Said one voice
Yes but this could make her open her eyes and relies she loved me more then that stupid pretty boy,Says another voice
This is a stupid idea,Says the first voice,Do you want to ruin years of friendship over this?Why can't we give her time-
TIME?The second voice laughs coldly,By then Cedric will have stole our Ara away from us and then the time is up.
Fred winces but decided the first voice in his head was right,He could risk their friendship over this,If he gave her time maybe she would come to him and he would welcome her with open arms.
Until then Fred took the letter the was about to throw it away when his twin brother came bursting in the room"FORGE!"He cries dramatically"What are you doing?"Fred drops the letter the stuffs it under his very messy bed hoping to hide it from his brother and everyone else
"Er nothing I was getting ready to go to bed"Fred says
George makes a face"It's a bit early for that ay mate?"
Fred shrugs"I'm tired"
George shrugs"Night brother"
Ara was just done cleaning up her mess from the food that Severus had made earlier,When she heard a tapping on her window,She jumps in the air and turns around with her wand out to see outside her window golden brown owl was pecking at her window,Ara opens the window and the owl flys in and rests itself on Altair's stand Ara closes the window thinking,It was lucky her owl was flying for food or this bird would have been attacked away from the stand.
Ara lifts up the wing and notices a letter with the words Ara on the string holding it folded,She took the letter and opened it.
'Dear Ara,
I hope your having a good Easter!Mum and Dad had a bunch of Mom's family come and I saw some of my muggle cousins as well!It was really fun,I have been practicing my Seeker skills so I can beat you next time,I hope your practicing too so we can have a re-match,I won't go easy this time,Haha just joking you won fair and square as my Mom says!
Are you done with your homework yet?I'm almost done but this work is insane that they gave the third years!I hope it's at least easier on you then it is on me.I can't wait to see you at school!

Ara grinned as she red the letter and started to write one back
'Cedric,

She rolls the letter,Gives the owl a treat and smiles"Back to Cedric"The owl hoots and Ara opens the window so the owl can fly out,The shuts it behind the owl.She walks upstairs and go's into Severus's potion room and through his privet liberty,She was skimming through the book tittles when she spotted an owl black worn out book,She grabbed it and opened it right away like something was tugging her towards it,It was a normal potions book for the most but the first page had 'Half blood prince' written on it and it looked like whoever the person was and 'fixed' the book,And this person had a act for making spells just like her!
Intruged more then she should have been she runs downstairs and plops herself on the couch and starts to read,This book was for what it looked like a fifth year or sixth year,Ara couldn't be sure because...Well she wasn't near that grade but the potions were advanced,But the odd thing was....
Everything in the book looked wrong to Ara and everything the 'Half Blood Prince' wrote looked right,And the only person who taught Ara Potions was....
Severus...
Meanwhile while Ara had put the pieces together,Severus was just coming back from a few drinks when out of god knows where Dumbledore pops beside him"I new I would find you here"
Severus scowls"I can't have any alone time can I?"He asks rhtorically making Dumbedore laugh"What do you want old man?"
"I came to talk to you about what we are going to do about the stone-"
"We already have it hidden,You know who will not go after it"Severus snaps making Dumbledore sigh
"Harry is going after it Severus,We have to be sure that-"
"Golden boy won't be killed?"Severus sneers"He's foolish but not that much of a idiot to go pass a dog,A chess bored and whatever you have waiting for whoever go's,Now if you don't mind I need to go home to Ara"
Ara was just getting up to hide the book from Severus when he decided to pop out from the fireplace,Ara let out a scream and dropped the book
"What are you doing up still?"Severus asks
"I was reading something and didn't notice the time"Ara explains as she bends over and picks up the book"Er sorry,I'll go to bed now"
Spotting the book in her hand,Severus grabs her wrist"You were in my room weren't you?"
Ara sighs"Yes but I needed something to read and..."She stops"Sorry..."She says as she is let go"Severus...Are you the half blood prince?"
Severus sighs remembering his dark past"Yes I am"He says as he puts the book on a end table"Did you read all of it"
Deciding to lie Ara shakes her head"Uh no I didn't I was going to put it back before you came home"She plays the innocent act
"When I was young and became a death eater,I was making these dangerous spells for him"Severus says
Ara asks"Like what kind of dangerous spells?"
"Sectumsempra was one of my darker spells,It was like blades slashing at your body"Severus mumbles as Ara watches him with a blank face"And the healing spells for it was Vulnera Sanentur"
Ara lets out a mental gasp,Well doesn't that sound close to some of my spells.A voice whispers in her head
"But I did make other less er dangerous spells like toenail growing hex"Severus says
Ara rolls her eyes"And you say my pranks are silly"
"Levicorpus one of the spells I wish I never made,It hung people by their ankle upside down"Severus sighs"And it has a counter spells"
Ara looks down
Severus lifts up Ara's chin"Promise me you won't use any of these spells unless you NEED to ok"
Ara nods"I promise...Although,That toenail hex I can use right?"She grins cheekily that reminded Severus of her father
Severus sighs"Once and don't tell anyone the spell"
Ara grins and hugs him sneakily grabbing the book then walking up to her room"Night Sev!"
"GoodNight Ara"He calls out not noticing the missing book from the table
Ara put the book in her dresser would Severus wouldn't look and climbs into bed ready for the next day to come.
Cedric was a Hufflepuff meaning he was ok with waiting for something,But when it came to waiting for Ara to write back he was almost jumping up and down in his seat,
"Are you ok son?"
Cedric turns around to see his father,A plump older looking man with hair to his ears that was a silvery white,And brown eyes,With rectangular glasses looking at him with a look of worry
"Yeah Dad just waiting for a letter"Cedric tells Amos his father
"From school I hope"Amos says,He was a father that was proud of his son,And liked to boast about Cedric and his achievements,Cedric on the other hand was a humble man and did not like to boast about what he has done.
"Uh"Cedric scratched the back of his neck"From a friend"
"Oh"Amos says as he sits on Cedric's bed
"Uh-huh"Cedric nods
An awkward silence fell between the father and son until Amos looked up and frowned slightly at Cedric"I know that your waiting for a letter from that uh Ara Black girl"
Cedric opens his mouth but his father cuts him off"Son,I don't want you being friends with her"
Cedric's green eyes widen"WH-"
"Now listen here"Amos says"I am a pureblood and I remember the noble house of Black,They were all men to be in slytherin,evil cunning men and woman who would torcher and kill"Amos snaps"And her father was just as bad,He used woman and he was on the dark lords side and betrayed all his friends and left them for dead!"
Cedric feels his blood boil but bites his tounge
"And her mother was helping her filthy husband kill Harry Potter and his family!"Amos tells his son"They were traitors and their daughter will no doubt be the same-"
Cedric stands up"She is nothing like her father!And her mother was framed and suffered the kiss!"He snaps"She is the nicest girl in Hufflepuff and you want me to believe that she's evil?"This was the first time he ever snapped at his father but Amos deserved it
"I do not care Cedric"Amos snaps"When you get back to school you will focus on school and Quidditch,No girls,No Ara"Amos used an authorities voice,He gives his son a death glare and walks out,Just as he did his owl pecked on his window,He sighed,Sat on his bed and opened up the letter that was written in bold red ink

He frowns and puts the letter down,He wasn't just going to stop being friends with her,She missed him just as much as he missed her!
He heard footsteps behind him,He turns around but instead of seeing his father,He see's his mum,A young skinny,Dirty blond hair and green eyed woman,He looked more like his mother,She was a half blood where Amos was a pureblood and Sometimes it amazed Cedric that his beautiful mother married his...Father.
She sighed"Your father is slightly upset"
Cedric stays quite as his mother Meredith sits beside him"So who is this Ara Black I keep hearing about?Amos doesn't seem to like her"
"She comes from a...family of bad people"Cedric explains"Father seems to think Ara is the same.....But she isn't Mum!She's...."
Meredith grins"You have a crush on here huh?"
Cedric feels the blush in his cheek
"How old is she"
Silence
"The same age huh?"
Cedric shakes his head
"Older?"
Another shake of the head from Cedric
"Younger"Meredith raises an eyebrow"How much younger"
"She's a first year"Cedric mumbles
His mother turns to him and says"If you really like her Ced,Then don't give her up that easy,Fight for her,don't listen to anyone that says otherwise"
Cedric beams at his mother"Thanks Mum"
Meredith winks"Let's not tell your father"She kisses the side of his head and get off the bed"Now light out it's time for bed"She shuts the door as she walks out,She passes her husband who was in the kitchen reading the daily prophet,She sits down on the couch and grins.
The next morning when Primrose woke up,She had went to visit Diana,She was as unmoving as ever and Ara had no idea why Ara would say she was mouthing something,Maybe she was imagining it because she really wanted her mother back but their was no way in hell that Diana had started to move her lips.
When Primrose decided she wanted to leave,She was walking out when she heard Ara's name
"......Sweet girl,I love her like a sister"A female voice said"Ow!"
"Related to Sirius Black ain't she?"Another gruff male voice asks
"He's a father,Looks like him but you can tell she's more like her moth-OW that hurts"
The gruff voice laughs"Too bad Tonks that is what you get for tripping over me"
"You tripped me"The woman named Tonks snaps
The gruff voice asks"How can you tell she's like her mother"
"Mum talked to her"Tonks says obviously in pain"She said she saw only Diana in her,But a few other things"

They go in silence with a confused Primrose,Who was Tonks and who was her Mother that talked to Ara?She made her way to Severus house.When she got to the front door and knocked,Severus opened up in his Hogwarts black robes

Primrose walks in pass him and asks"Where's Ara?"
"Sleeping in"Severus sneers slightly
"Would you know a Tonks by any chance?"Primrose asks tilting her head to the side just a bit
Severus raises an eyebrow"Like the surname Tonks?Their was a god awful clumsy girl in my class named Nymphadora Tonks,Her mother was related to Sirius,They were first cousins why?"
Primrose makes a 'o' shape with her mouth and furrows her eyebrows"Well I overhead at St.Mungo's that Tonk's mother talked to Ara a few days ago"
Severus makes a face"Thats impossible,I've been with her everyday"
Primrose raises an eyebrow"Are you sure it's been everyday?"
"Well....When she visited Diana on Easter I had to go to a meeting with Dumbledore about Harry and I told her to go to the Weasley's when she came out"Severus starts
"Do you think she may have went with this Nymphadora's house by any chance?"Primrose asks Severus who was now furious
"Yes"Snape says in a low dangerous voice"Ara took a liking to Tonks but when she graduated I told Ara to stay away from her Father's side"He puts on his cloak and Primrose frowns"What are you doing?"
"Paying a visit to Andromeda"
Primrose smirks wickedly"I'll come"
"I just realised something"
"What?"Severus drawls out with a sigh
"How do you know where her house is"Primrose raises a red eyebrow
Severus smirks"I was a death eater once,I have my ways"
Primrose doesn't push it but is still curious,It was a muggle house somewhere in the UK,Seeing as how rich the Black family was you would think she wouldn't have brought a...bigger house.

Severus bangs on the door twice and hears footsteps,Andromeda answers the door with a smile but it turns sour as she see's Severus,Who she remembered at a meeting with Dumbledore,The Death eater who wanted to redeem himself,Also the man who gave her daughters Trolls in Potions for the first two years,And a woman who looked oddly familiar
"What do you want Snape"Andromeda asks through clenched teeth
Severus glares at the woman"I told you to stay away from Ara Andromeda""
"Why should I?"Andromeda challenges"I am her family and by the way your raising her I can already tell she'll be a mini you"
"What"Primrose cuts in from Severus opening his mouth"What do you mean"
Andromeda turns to the red haired woman"She is a good girl yes but you could see in her eyes that she is dark"She looks at Severus with a cold smirk only a Woman from the Black family could give you"It was the same look my dear sister Bellatrix had in her eyes before she went twisted"Andromeda turns around"Better be careful,She's still young and can be molded into a monster....Lost her Mother,Her Fathers in jail,Her family's evil on both sides,You know,I could see her being the next Voldemort"
Before Severus and Primrose could pull out their wands Andromeda had her wand pointed at them when she spun around"Now I am going to ask you nicely to leave"
Snape nor Primrose move making Andromeda wave her wand"Stup-"
Primrose grabs Snape and pulls him back with all her strength"Come'on Snape she's just being twisted"She pulls him out of the house and they head to the nearest ally to appreciate
Andromeda shakes her head and puts away her wand,Call her paranoid but she could never leave it or hide it away,She always kept it on her.She shakes her head and go's back to writing the letter to Ara not thinking about her confrontation to Snape and the red head with him.
The letter explained where the Drax amily where currently living-Thanks to her daughter who asked Mad-Eye her trainor/boss-And what to expect if she go's to meet them,And if she does to take her with her so they don't do anything to Ara,
Andromeda dreaded Ara going to meet them,They where one of the most twisted family's their were in the pure blood world,That's why they where respected and why Voldemort branded them early,They were all the same.
Well Maybe except Ares because he died by the hands of Bellatrix.
"Hey Mom!"Tonks pops out of the fire place almost tripping as she runs into the living where her mother was"Ara sent me a letter this morning!She says that she can't wait to see me again and that I inspired her to become an auror!"Tonks beams"How sweet is she?"
Andromeda laughs"Very,May I use your owl?"
"Sure!He's in my room"Tonks peers over her mothers shoulder"Who are you writing?"
"Ara"Andromeda says as she folds the letter
Ted Tonks walks on with a large smile on his face"What are we talking about?"
"Ara"Tonks smiles"My favorite cousin on Mom's side!"
Andromeda looks at her"She's your only-"
"Exactly"Tonks laughs
Ted laughs"I like Ara,She kinda reminds me of you"He tells his wife
"Can we keep her?"Tonks asks"Can we adopt her pleeeease?"
Andromeda laughs"Of course Nymphadora"
Tonks smiles brightly
As Ara gets dressed after a long shower she hears pecking on her window,Ara beams and opens the window to Tonks brown and gray barn owl,
'Wotcher Ara!
I'm glad I inspired you to try and become an auror like me,The work may be hard but it is totally worth it in the long run,I can't wait too see you again,You need to spend the night or something!You have done way more then I ever did in my first year,We need to talk about how much danger you've been putting yourself in...]
In the letter stapled on this one is the letter you where expecting from Mother,And No I didn't read it so whatever it was much have been pretty secretive and you know the saying 'Sharing is caring' So owl me when you want to explain whats going on Aye?

"Ara?!"A loud angry voice comes from downstairs,The tone Severus uses when something is REALLY wrong.
Ara stuffs the letter in her trunk and runs downstairs"Yeah Sever-"She stops when she see's the furious look on Severus's face and the disappointed one on her godmother Primrose
She sits on the couch"Uh whats going on?"
Primrose glances at Severus and he nods,Primrose gives one last loo at Ara before she walks upstairs,Ara starts to wiggle in her seat getting worried that it was something serious"Whats going on?"She repeats
"What where you doing at Andromeda Blacks house"Severus barley holds back a growl
Ara looks at him"What?"

Ara furrows her eyebrows"Uh I hung out with Tonks for a bit?"It came out as a question because Ara was slightly confused about why he was so mad
"Don't lie to me"Severus yells
Ara flinches"I'm not I went back with Tonks,Talked to her parents for awhile why are you so upset"
"I told you to stay away from them"Severus growls
"You left me in the hospital"Ara snaps back
"You were-"
"Suppose to go to Molly?"Ara raises an eyebrow"She owled you that day and said she was busy!"
"YOU SHOULD HAVE WENT ANYWAYS"
"YOU LEFT ME AT THE HOSPITAL ALONE!"
"I TOLD YOU WHAT TO DO TO IF I WAS NOT THEIR AND YOU DIDN'T LISTEN!"
"I HAD PLANS FOR THAT DAY AND YOU LEFT FOR SOME STUPID MEETING?WHAT NOW HUH?HARRY?VOLDEMORT-"
"Don't say his name"Severus snarls
"Why?You where a death eater!"Ara yells back"You betrayed everyone!Your just as bad as my father only with a old man protecting you!"
Severus pulls out his wand with a sneer
"What are you doing"Primrose growls as she grabs his wand out of his hand
"I was going to put a silencing charm on her ungrateful mouth"Severus sneers
"Ungreatful?"Ara reapeats"For what?Years of torcher or years of making me like you"
"Sh"Primrose tells Ara and turns back to Snape"This is not going to solve anything!If anything the muggle way will work"She turns to Ara"Your grounded"
Ara sighs
"Until you go back to school,I took away all your books,You can't write anyone,Your owl is at my house,No visitors at all,You do anything out of line and it will be worse understand"Primrose looks down at Ara
"This is stupid,I only went-"
Primrose puts out her hand"Wand"
"Excuse me?"Ara narrows her eyebrows
"Hand over your wand"Primrose says"You back talked hand over your wand"
Ara reaches in her pocket and hands over wand over unhappily
"Now go to your room and stay their"Primrose hands to wand to Severus
Ara bits her tongue and go's to her room slamming the door as hard as she could
"Are you sure this will work"Severus asks
Primrose shrugs"Use to work on me and Lily"
How could they?Ara yells in her mind as she sits on her desk chair,I only went to see Tonks and they overreact over nothing?This is stupid they took away my books!She looks over to her book stand to see it stripped,She sent my poor baby to god knows where AND took my wand!Who does that?Ara narrows her eyebrows at the black book infront of her,Luckily I hid my spell book,my letters and my Diarie or they might have taken that too.Ara opens her spell book with a foggy mind and starts to write a new killer spell.
The weeks went by extra slowly for Ara,She spent most her time in her room,Her books where gone so she had nothing to pass the time,Her homework was done and Primrose took those books too,She didn't have her pet to entertain her,And she was constently worried about Altair and if he was alright and if that wasn't bad enough she couldn't stop thinking about her wand for the life of her,She didn't understand why they took her wand she can't do magic with it until she's seventeen...Maybe they just liked to watch me be upset,Was the only thing she could think of.
She came down for breakfast every morning and ate fast,Made no or little contact with Severus then would go back to her room
She didn't bother with lunch,She spent the rest of the afternoon drawing or writing idea spells down for when she gets back to school,Which she was not looking forward to now more then ever.
Then When Dinner would roll around Ara would do the same thing like Breakfast,Eat as fast as she could,Make no or little contact with Severus and go to her room and go to bed counting down the days till Hogwarts.
Severus didn't really pay much attention to Ara's cold shoulder,He was still very mad about what she said,But he would never say that outloud.
When it came time to go back to Hogwarts,Ara more then excited to find all her books on their stand,Her owl hooting on the end of her bed and her wand tied to Altair's leg in it's box.Dumbledore took down the spells for a short time and Severus floo'ed Ara and himself to Hogwarts,Ara took her trunk and in silent anger tugged it to the basement.
"Did something happen over Easter Severus"Albus asks as Severus slumps in the chair across from him
"She's a foolish ungrateful child!"Severus sneers
Ara huffs out of breath as she hits the moving staircase,Their was no way she was making it down their with his trunk without killing herself again on the stairs,She sighs and sits on the trunk and starts to ponder a plan
"Uh do you need some help?"A voice asks from behind her
Ara looks over her shoulder to see Cedric"Oh hey Ced"
Cedric grins"Hello Ara!Need some help eh?"
"Please"Ara gets off the trunk and Cedric lifts it with no problem,As they walk down the steps Cedric frowns slightly"How come you never wrote back?"
Ara scoffs"I got grounded and Snape put a spell on the house so no owl could get near the house,I didn't know you wrote one back"
"What did you do?"Cedric asks curiously
"You remember Tonks right?"
Cedric laughs and nods"Of course"
"Well I went over to her house since we'er cousins and didn't tell Snape and he got mad and pretty much stripped me out of anything"Ara sighs"Did you Easter go any better?"
Cedric frowned"Uh...Not exactly,I got into some trouble with my Dad to"
"Hmmm so what did you do?"Ara grins
"Oh just told my Dad I would stop doing what he says all the time,He wasn't happy with that"Cedric mumbles then smiles"Hey when your settled in do you want to go down to the field?I got a broom fixing kit from my aunt as a late Christmas present and now my broom works even better!"
Ara grins"Yeah sure I left my broom in my room here"
Ara got her trunk upstairs to find Bree and Alena unpacking,Bree looks at Ara and frowns"Why didn't you write back?"
Ara go's into her story of being grounded and tell her friends why she couldn't write back and had no idea they where sending letters
"That really sucks"Alena frowns"But what you said was a bit-"
"Totally true?"'Bree smirks
"Slightly out of line"Alena says shaking her head
