"Can you change Eva's shoes, please? She dropped juice on them and I have to get Tommy ready." You said as soon as you saw your husband, standing in the sitting room as he hung up the birthday banner behind the telly, Niall holding the other end of it.
Harry turned his head to look at you, smile widening when he saw his baby Angel in your arms, staring amusingly at him as he stood tall. "Yeah of course," He nodded, handing Niall the tape, "Don't tilt it."
Niall chuckled, "No promises."
"C'mere, Angel." Harry cooed, taking her in his arms from you, "Always making a mess, huh?"
You giggled wholeheartedly, shaking your head. "Loves exploring this one."
"Just like daddy." Harry proudly stated, a shit eating grin on his face.
"Unfortunately." You teased, letting out a little squeal and squirming away when he poked your side. "I'll go get Tommy ready."
Your house was decorated with balloons and banners, catering taken care of by you, Anne and Farrah while your father insisted on getting his chef make his grandkids' birthday cake.
You entered your kids' nursery, laughing quietly to yourself as sounds of piano music left your babies' nursery, entering to see Tommy sitting on the play mat where you left him, his little piano placed between his spread legs, chubby fingers pressing the keys gently.
"Hey, Beethoven." You cooed, gaining Tommy's attention.
You almost melted right there and then as he released a squeal of excitement, kicking his legs and reaching his hands up, making grabby hands at you. You knelt in front of him, opening your arms.
You and Harry have been trying to get either of your twins to take their first steps for about 3 weeks, other than finally knowing how to stand on their own, they still haven't taken their first steps without your guidance and support. "Why don't you come to mummy, hm?" You tried, cooing at him before pushing your strands of stray hair behind your ear.
Tommy stared at you, still making grabby hands at you, babbling away. You reached forward, helping him stand on his feet before carefully backing two steps away and opening your arms again. "Come on, baby. Come give me a hug, yeah?" You tried again, "You're such a good boy! Standing like that on your own." You gasped in amusement, encouraging him.
Tommy giggled, bringing his hands together to clap.
"Darling, did y-" Harry paused, staring at you with a smile as he held Eva in his arms, "What's happening here?"
"Not much but something's about to happen," You chuckled, glancing back at him, "It's their birthday. Could be their lucky day."
Harry laughed, looking at Eva, "Is that true, Angel?"
Angel didn't give him much of a reply, only swaying slightly.
"Come on, baby," You tried again, "Who's going to give mama the biggest hug right now? Is it you? Is it you, Tommy?"
Time seemed to slow down when Tommy brought his right foot forward, wobbling as he brought his left one in front of the right, his arms stretched as he attempted to balance himself, eyes set on you.
Your eyes widened, as did Harry's, his jaw dropping as Tommy took another two steps towards you before falling into your arms, wrapping his arms around your neck.
"Oh my God!" You laughed, carrying him in your arms as you hugged him, turning to look at Harry, "Did you see that?!"
Harry laughed excitedly, nodding as he approached you, bouncing Eva in his arms, "Did you see your brother?"
"You're so good!" You cheered Tommy, laughing as he clapped, taking your enthusiasm as a good sign, "Such a strong boy!"
Harry shook his head in amusement, "I can't believe he just took his first steps." He smiled, holding Eva with one arm on his hip, reaching with his other hand to poke Tommy's nose, "So proud of you, Beethoven."
"Just you now, bub." You leaned towards Eva, pecking her cheek.
"She'll walk before we even know it."

"Oh my, you knob!" You laughed, looking at Trevor who arrived with about 4 wrapped presents in his arms, an unfamiliar face behind him that you only heard of. "You know you didn't have to get all that."
He placed the presents on the table where all of the rest were before looking at you, "Nonsense." He waved you off before looking behind him, smiling excitedly as he reached his hand out towards the curly haired lad, "Y/N, this is Elliot."
You tried to stifle your smirk, raising an eyebrow at Trevor before sticking your hand out towards Elliot, "Nice to meet you, Elliot. I'm Y/N."
Elliot shook your hand with a smile, "It's a pleasure meeting you. Thank you for inviting me today. I'm-" He chuckled, nodding, "I'm losing my shit."
You laughed, patting his shoulder, "Aw, you're fine. Any friend of Trev's is a friend of ours. Especially, you know," You shrugged, "Since you're both together now, we were bound to meet." You smiled, "Wait, my husband is just around here."
You looked around, leaning back to search for Harry among your friends and families, spotting him with Stevie Nicks and Jeff. Liam was just about to pass you, holding Bear's hand before you tapped on his shoulder, "Can you call Harry for me, please?"
"Yeah, sure, love, sure." He nodded.
"Also, why are you holding his hand? Let him roam around freely, Li." You rolled your eyes at him, bending down, "Go play with George and the others, Bear. They're just around there." You pointed with a smile.
"Thank you, Y/N!" He quickly gave you a hug before running off.
"On your bike now, overprotective dad. On your bike." You laughed as you pushed Liam towards Harry.
"Did Ava come?" Trevor asked you.
You nodded, "She did."
"Alone?"
You shook your head, giggling, "Came with her girl, Rhea. She's gorgeous."
"Ava's a sneaky bitch. We didn't even know she was seeing anyone." Trevor laughed, shaking his head.
You raised an eyebrow at him, "As if Eddie told us?"
"No one's like you and Harry," Trev said, turning to look at Elliot, "We lived every second of when she first met Harry. I'm telling you problems, first date, e-"
"Hello." Harry gave a pursed smile, wrapping his arm around your waist.
"Baby, this is Elliot," You grinned, motioning towards Elliot, "Trev's boyfriend who we should all feel bad for."
"Hey!" Trev whined but laughed nonetheless.
Elliot laughed, shaking Harry's hand, "Nice to meet you."
"Nice to meet you as well, mate. Thank you for coming." Harry nodded at him.
"Happy birthday to your kids by the way." Elliot grinned.
"Where are they?" Trev asked, "I know I didn't come to chat with the both of you and for you to take a piss." He jokingly glared at you, making you stick your tongue out at him.
"They're with mum," Harry said, turning to look at Anne, "Getting spoiled with attention from mum and everyone else."
"Take after their father, don't they?" Trevor teased.
"Fuck off." Harry laughed.
You nodded at Trev, "They do. They really do." You mouthed.
"Think we should blow the candles now, love. Everyone's here." Harry said, looking down at you.
You nodded, "Yeah alright." You were beginning to walk away, giving a discreet wink to Trevor as he passed you and walked towards the twins, to which he flipped you off for behind his back, when Harry dragged you back by your waist, making you look up at him, smiling when you saw his smirk. "What now?"
"You look beautiful. Did I tell you that you look beautiful today?" He whispered, pecking your cheek.
"Only about a million times." You giggled, putting your hands on his chest, "Everyone's going to look at us."
"So?" He raised an eyebrow, "Am I not allowed to love on you? Tell you that you look beautiful a million times more?"
"God, you're such a sap."
Harry laughed, throwing his head back as he did before looking back at you, "You never just let me flirt with you, do you?"
"Not when there are so many people around and we should be blowing our babies' candles for their first birthday, no." You teased him.
"You make valid points," He nodded before leaning to whisper in your ear, "But just know I'll have my way with you tonight."
"You're going to be the death of me." You laughed before leaning to peck his lips, "Now come on." You held Harry's hand behind your back as you approached the rest, laughing to yourself as it seemed like everyone was around your babies. "Are you all ready to blow the candles?"
Everyone let out cheers of excitement, Anne holding Tommy while Eddie held Eva, bouncing them excitedly in their arms. You approached them, taking Eva from Eddie as Harry took Tommy, before walking towards where the cake was.
You and Harry stood behind the table while everyone stood on the opposite side, grins and smiles on their faces, beginning to sing Happy Birthday.
And while you had to sing it twice, once for each of your children, you and Harry were excitedly singing to the kids in your arms who were clapping excitedly.
"Happy birthday, to you!"
"Harry and Y/N, make a wish!" Gemma exclaimed, her hands clasped under her chin.
"He's going to wish for another baby." Your brother, Har, said, making everyone laugh and Harry to wink at him before laughing, shaking his head.
And you knew that before you and Harry blew the candles, you both wished for the same wish.
"I only want our family close, forever." Harry said after he blew the candles to you quietly, looking down at Tommy and Eva, pecking their heads before looking at you. "I love you."
You smiled, looking up at him, "I love you."
You both leaned close, pressing your lips against each other, oblivious to a picture being taken — one that you undoubtedly would frame.
