Okay, before we move on with the chapter, I just want you guys to know that the herbs on Docs list (the one that Keene have John) aren't all from where the UnOrdinary Cast are, much less in that forest. So if you do know these herbs, it's truly fictional how they find them. Besides, It would be too hard to research a bunch of different types of herbs in one forest specifically where they are. Sorry!

    Doc's Herbs:
3 Whole bags of raw garlic
2 Whole bags of ginger
5 Whole bags of Spanish Bayonet
1 Whole bag of Ginseng
6 Whole bags of Pennyroyal
2 Whole bags of Turmeric
7 Whole bags of Gingko Biloba
9 Whole bags of St. John's Wort (and actual herb, search it up)

I stared at the paper, not sure whether to laugh or curse Doc for getting me in detention. Especially with an idiot and a boy that could easily blackmail me.

"So," the idiot spoke, he was nervous. "Which way should we go?"

I didn't even want to answer, so I left the other boy to do that.

"It depends on the herbs we need to find," Arlo grumbled, "which we would know if Seraphina didn't keep them all to herself."

I looked up, and sent him a glare. "It's not like I trust any of you with it, what would you expect?"

Arlo held his hand out, "just give it to me, do you even know half the herbs they speak of?"

I rolled my eyes, "of course not, we don't study herbs in science or outdoor Ed. But there is pictures, and I'm pretty good at improvising."

"That still isn't enough," the idiot mumbled, "Blondie, do you know any of the herbs?"

Arlo's eyebrow twitched, "Blondie? Like hell I'm going to let you go around saying that. Besides, Seraphina still hasn't given me the sheet."

"And I'm not going to," I responded.

Both boys glared at me, and I ignored them.

"Arlo," I turned around, "I will tell you the names, but I'm not giving you the sheet."

The blonde haired boy must have given up trying to see that sheet, because he sighed, and nodded. "Fine."

I began with the first one, "Well, we all know what Raw Garlic is." I looked over at the idiot, "what about you?"

He glared back, "of course I know what it is, do you think I'm stupid?"

"Is that a rhetorical question?" I asked, "because the answer would obviously be yes."

He looked away, and I could hear him curse.

"Just continue telling me the herbs," Arlo groaned, putting a hand to his head in annoyance.

"The next one we all know," I continued, "it's ginger. So then, do any of you know what Turmeric is?"

Arlo shook his head, "never heard of it."

"Turmeric?" The idiot cocked his head, "Turmeric is a herb, right? My dad puts it in his curry all the time."

Both me and Arlo stared at him, "you are useful..."

He growled, and crossed his arms, "of course I am, what did you two actually expect?"

I ignored him, and searched for another herb I didn't know. "Hmmm, do any of you know what a Gingko Biloba is?"

It was silent, and I took that as a no.

"Okay then, what about a Spanish Bayonet?"

     No answer.

    "A Pennyroyal?"

    Nothing.

    "St. John's Wort?"

This time, there was an answer.

"Who the hell gives a herb that sort of name?!" The idiot exclaimed, throwing his hands up in the air. "That's an insult to all who are called John!"

Me and Arlo actually laughed, managing to make the ravenette even angrier. "Hey!" He yelled, "that not funny!"

"Well anyway," I chuckled, "that's all the herbs we have to collect. And I'm guessing that nobody knows what 'St. Johns Wort' is."

"Then we should begin looking for them!"

I nodded, "Okay, which one first?"

Arlo shrugged, "what about just looking around, and if we find any of them, we simply collect it."

"Sure."

And that's how we ended up scavenging through the deep forest, unknowingly getting deeper and deeper into it.

"Is this it?" The idiot pointed to a jumble of leaves, mixed with a set of magenta coloured flowers. The stem of the flower was green, leading up to a pinkish colour, and then to a more purplish one. The leaves were humongous, and they were almost Arlo's size. Automatically making it taller than me.

"Wow," I whispered,"it's beautiful..."

Arlo glanced at me, "we aren't here to admire the scenery," he growled. He crossed his arms, he seemed annoyed. Almost as if he wanted to get this over with. Ah, well, same with me.

I looked at the photo on the guide, and it didn't look like it at all. "It doesn't look like it," I whispered, "but John, why would you think that it's this?"

The idiot put a hand to his head and sighed. "I remember dad always buying this weird stuff for the curry he always made, and on the cover, it always had that."

Arlo shook his head, "how are you even sure that is the Turmeric we are talking about? Your guessing."

John glared at Arlo, "Well, I don't see you doing anything better."

"Hey," the blonde haired boy defended, "at least I'm making some reasonable suggestions, all you are doing is guessing like a child."

"Are you asking for a f*cking fight..."

"Both of you," I groaned, "does now seem like the time?"

They both snapped their attention back to me, and Arlo held his hand out to me. "Do you mind if I see the pamphlet for a minute. I just want to see how different it looks from that."

I tossed Arlo the guide, turning my attention to John. "So, when you bought that stuff for the curry,  what did it look like inside?"

I could see him thinking, and then he answered. "It looked almost orangish. Like a carrot, but smaller and a lot more orange. It's shaped almost like nutmeg though. And it doesn't taste the same. Trust me."

I narrowed my eyes, and thought about it. On the guide, it showed exactly what John was describing, but what was the similarities between a big plant and pint sized carrots...

Aha!

I think I get it! If the plant is...

"Seraphina," Arlo's voice interrupted the giant lightbulb that flashed over my head. "Your right, they can't be the same plant. Much less the same herb or whatever Docs looking for."

"John, Arlo," I ignored what Arlo had just said, and I took the guide from him. " I get it," I looked over at John. "Your a genius!"

John looked almost surprised, but then he cockily stated. "Of course I am, what did you two expect?"

I waved my arms around, ignoring him. "Just like a carrot," I repeated. "Carrots are underneath the plant, not on the surface! Same with this one!"

I could see the lightbulbs that flashed over their heads as they thought it over. And before long, they ran over to the plant, beginning to dig it out.

"Okay," I whispered, as I began to dig one of them myself. A hopeful feeling fluttered in my chest, and I hoped that this was it...

"Sera," John groaned, lifting his hands up, "can't you just use your ability? It'll be easier..."

I rolled my eyes, but proceeded to activate my ability. The rush of power overpowering everything else. With it, I dug the hole much faster. Time manipulation isn't useful here, but the extra strength that comes with it works.

Both me and John almost felt sorry for Arlo, who was still digging and frowning. Barrier wasn't exactly useful here.

I lifted the plant up, and to my amazement, the orangish nutmeg like herb stared back at me. John got the same results, and I silently cheered.

"Yes!" John grinned, "now all we need to do is collect two whole bags of these!"

"How big are the bags?" I asked, a bit worried. Was there enough Turmeric?

Arlo motioned towards his backpack. "Keene gave me a set of bags. Which we have to fill with the herbs." He tossed two of them my way, "here, take these."

I caught them in the air, and pulled the rest of the Turmerics out of the plant. Placing it in one of the bags. When I finished, only half of it was full, maybe even a smaller amount of it.

"Hey John." I tossed the half filled bag his way, "grab this one."

He caught it, and began to fill it. But his plant had a lot less, and now, it was three quarters full. "How many more plants do we have to dig?"

Arlo shook his head, "you guys do this one," he stared at the his dirt filled hands. "You'll do it faster anyway."

I rolled my eyes, and dug up the next one, "it isn't that bad." I mentioned, "even without an ability."

After filling both bags up, I pointed to John. "What time is it?"

He reached for his pockets, and pulled out his blue covered phone. "Its seven'o Three."

I grimaced, "so it took us like an hour to find and collect just one of the herbs. And not to mention one of the ones we knew?"

"Yeah..."

"We should hurry up," I whispered, "I don't want to miss a day of school."

I stared at the two boys, sending one of my nastiest glares that I could muster. "I will not miss class."

And just to terrify them even more, I whispered in a venomous voice, "and if I do, I'm blaming you two..."

Let's just say it was quiet after that.

Oh well. I hope you guys enjoyed the chapter. It's almost embarrassing how much effort I had to put into the research. I guess the chapters take a little bit longer because of that. But anyway, next chapter, I'm making a special for all the people that have helped and gave me the criticism I needed. Well, that next chapter. Have a nice day (or should I say night?)
