Lottie was creeping through the halls of Rosewood, not daring to breath. She had been told yesterday she had to kidnap Jamie, or they would both die. This is your fault Lottie, if it weren't for you, Jamie wouldn't be in danger. She was torturing herself.
Lottie stopped dead outside Jamie's door. She didn't know what to do. Would it be better if she just went back to leviathan? Would it be better if she died? What should I do?
Jamie tensed. He could hear footsteps outside of his door, coming closer. He stood up, in a defensive pose and gently crept to the door. He slowly etched it open to see a pretty girl, her dirty blonde hair falling over her face.
"Lottie? Oh my god." Jamie was shocked, "what the hell?"
She stared up at him, her ocean blue eyes filled with sadness. He gently pulled her into his room and sat her down. Luckily, Percy was still asleep, one upside to him being deaf.
"Jamie," Lottie stared into his eyes, "I don't know what to do!" She burst into tears, collapsing to the floor.
"Lottie, what did they do to you?"
"They said I had to..." She hiccuped, "bring you back to leviathan or we.. we both die!"
Jamie stared at her in horror. He had to go with her. He couldn't let anything else happen to this precious girl. Just three years ago she had been an innocent 14 year old, but now she was a portman. She was in so much danger. More danger than she should ever have to face.
"Lottie I have to come with you," he took a deep breath, "but what about Ellie?"
"I think I should just die Jamie!" Lottie wailed, " but I had to see you!"
"Lottie," Jamie gasped, "why would you ever think that?"
"BECAUSE I HAVE FAILED!" she screamed, her hair matted and messy, her face was so red. She was so upset.
"I love you Lottie. You shouldn't think that of yourself."
"Jamie..."
They stared at eachother. Opposites attract. Lottie thought. The phrase really was true.
"But I have to protect Ellie." He said.
"Exactly!" She cried. "You have to stay and protect Ellie!"
"But I can't let you die..." He muttered, "I would never forgive myself."
And that was how they ended up at the leviathan base.
