Nika pov
I sat in the car crying my eyes out. I been texting Leonard, but he wasn't answering. They wouldn't tell me who got shot. I just know it's 2 people. I started praying that he was ok, and that he wasn't one of the boys. I couldn't even think straight, like that's my baby. I don't know what I'd do is something happened to him.
"Mak, he won't answer!"
I said between my sobs. I was crying so much, my head started to hurt.
"I'm sure he's fine. Just think positive."
I started playing with my fingers, to occupy myself. Ken rubbed my shoulder.
"He's gonna be fine. You know he's gonna be fine."
This is why I don't like him in the streets man. Anything could happen to him. I should've never let him leave, then I'd know he's safe with me. I started hyperventilating and I couldn't stop.
"You really love that nigga. Don't you?"
Ken said looking at me.
I nodded my head.
"You need to relax and breath Nika."
I took a deep breath, trying to get my breathing back to normal. We pulled up to the hospital, I literally jumped out the car and ran inside. I saw all the boys standing around. I saw S. Dot, Edai, Cdai, Durk, Tay and JB. That was it...
"Please tell me he's in the washroom or something."
I said about to start crying again. I already felt the tears coming down.
"He's in surgery sis."
Dot said looking at me with a frown.
I stared at him.
"Who's in surgery S.Dot?"
I asked calmly.
"L'a and Rondo."
Once I heard that, I broke down. That's my baby. Dot wrapped his arms around me tightly as I cried.
"It's ok, he's gonna be fine. You know he's not leaving you any time soon baby girl."
He let go of me and I saw his mama and sister walk in, along with Rondos mama. I ran and hugged Nina, Lala and his mom.
"He's gonna be fine right?"
I asked looking at Nina.
"I don't know sis."
She said crying as well. Ken came in with Mak. She was glaring at Nina, ion think she noticed tho.
"Family of Leonard Anderson?"
I basically ran up to the fucking doctor.
"Please be ok baby."
I whispered to myself, praying for him.
"Ok well, he did lose a lot of blood, but we were able to stop it and get him stable. He's sleeping right now, but if you wanna see him, you can."
Thank God. I wiped my tears with my hands.
"What room is he in?"
"121."
I nodded and thanked the doctor.
"Y'all should go see him first. He's your blood."
I said to him mom and sisters. They nodded and went up to his room.
"Did y'all hear anything about Rondo yet?"
I frowned.
"Yea, they said he's gonna be fine. He only got shot in the leg."
Durk said shaking his head.
"Man, it hurt to see my bros laid out like that. On bd, we finding who did this."
S. dot said. Mak came and hugged me.
"See, I told you he was finna he fine."
I hugged him back.
"Ty Makiedoooo!"
I said and I kissed his cheek.
"he's up now, you can go see him."
Nina said as her, her sisters and her mom came back out the room.
"I can't."
I said looking down. I know if I see him in that state, imma break down in front of him.
"Why?"
They asked looking at me.
"Cause, I know I'm gonna start crying."
Nina rolled her eyes and laughed a little.
"Girl, Shut up and go see yo husband."
She said pushing me in the direction of his room. I took a deep breath and dried my tears before entering his room. He was on the bed on his phone. I walked over giving him a passionate kiss and a tight ass hug, without saying a word. He wrapped his arms around me, I stayed hugging him like it was the last time I was finna see him.
"Are you ok Leonard?"
He groaned.
"Noo, you're hurting me."
He whined from under me. I got up hella fast.
"Wtf happened?"
I basically yelled.
"I got shot."
He said turning back to his phone. Noooo duh nigga. I rolled my eyes. He knows exactly what I mean.
"No duhhh! Where? How? When? Are you ok? What happened? Who-"
He cut me off in my millions of questions.
"I'm fineeee man, now stop asking so many questions."
He said getting irritated. I get he's in pain and probably confused as well. My poor baby. I hugged him again, this time not as tight.
"I was worried about you. Nobody would tell me what happened, just that 2 of you got shot. You weren't answering your phone, so I didn't know what to think. Once I came here Dot said you and Rondo were in surgery. I was scared something bad happened to you"
He groaned again.
"Well now you know I'm fine, so now you can get yo fat ass off me."
I got up and sat in the chair beside his bed.
"I thought I was gonna lose you L'a."
I mumbled as I started sobbing again. He wiped the tears falling from my eyes.
"You'd never lose me man, you know Ian going nowhere."
I shook my head.
"This just made me realize, how much I value our relationship and you in general. I shouldn't have let you leave, you wouldn't be in this pain and I wouldn't be so worried about you."
I pouted and took a deep breath.
"Look I'm fine, I just got caught slacking man. It's nothing for you to be worrying about."
"I'm always gonna worry about you. I'm just happy you're ok."
I kissed him again.
"Over protective ass."
He said smiling. That made me feel better, seeing him smile.
"I'm notttt, I just love you to damn much."
I said pouting. He shook his head, looking at me.
"You look like a duck, when you make that face. Hope you know that."
My mouth dropped.
"I hate you! Had my ass crying over you just so you can say, I look like a duck?"
He smiled innocently at me.
"You was crying over me, cause I'm a real nigga. It's ok tho, everyone loves L'a."
I mugged him.
"I don't!"
He stared at me.
"Yes you do. You was just telling me how much I mean to you."
I rolled my eyes.
"I lied."
I mumbled crossing my arms.
"No you didn't. I salute ya tho."
I rolled my eyes.
"I can't wait till you recover, so I can beat yo ass."
"You wouldn't wanna hurt yo baby tho. Stop playing with me."
Trust me, I wanna do more than just hurt this nigga.
"Omg Leonard! Are you ok?"
My head snapped towards the door. Gotti ran in the room and hugged him. Who tf told this bitch he got shot? All up in people's business.
I moved back and stayed quiet. Annoying ass bitch, why is she everywhere?
"Damn, I'm fine. Why you here?"
He asked avoiding eye contact with her.
"Well, I heard you got shot. I had to make sure you were ok."
She said taking a seat next to him. I know this bitch is joking...
"Well I'm fine, you can leave now."
She sighed and gave him and unhappy look.
"L'a I ju-"
"Ion care. Leave me alone."
She looked like she was about to cry as she got up and left.
"You know she won't leave you alone right?"
"I know."
He said as he tried to sit up. By his face, I could tell my baby was in pain.
"Baby are you ok? Did you hurt yourself? I'll call a nurse."
I said about to get up.
"Girl, sit yo worried ass down. I'm fine."
I looked at him.
"You look like your in pain. Let me get the damn nurse Leonard."
He looked at me and rolled his eyes.
"This gone be a long recovery."
I mugged him. Like nigga be happy I care that much about you.
"Fine."
I sat back in my chair and watched him as he was on his phone. I never realized how fine my baby was until now. He looked at me with a confused look.
"I never noticed how UGLY you were till now."
He stuck the middle finger up at me, and mugged me.
"Next time you wanna be all up under me and you want me to come and be with you because you're bored or you miss me.....just remember how 'ugly' I am."
He put air quotes around ugly.
"Noooo, I'm just playing. You know I think you fineee."
He nodded his head.
"Mhm. I bet you do. Every girl does."
Ain't no other bitch allowed to like him, but me.
"Don't play with me L'a. Nobody else is allowed to like you but me."
He looked at me and laughed.
"I can't control that... shiii if bitches like me, then they like me."
He said shrugging his shoulders.
"Then stop being so damn cute!"
I said mugging him.
"So what, you want a ugly nigga?"
He asked shaking his head.
"Imma make you look like medusa."
He looked at me confused.
"You not gonna fuck up my beautiful face kid."
He said looking at his phone again. The door opened and Mak, Ken, Dot, JB, Tay, Edai, Cdai and Durk all walked in.
"How you feeling bro?"
Mak asked dapping L'a, along with the only boys. 3'much sighed and shook his head.
"Shit hurts man."
He said making a pain filled face.
"Where they shot you?"
Ken asked. I wanted to know too.
"They shot me in the thigh. Can't even move or nun."
He said looking down at his thigh.
"Well at least you're living. Cause if something happened to you, I'd have to go back to Texas, because I can't take this hoes crying. Especially when she's crying over you."
I rolled my eyes. How this bitch, gone expose me like that?
"Yea Man, that girl loves you like hell."
Mak said making l'a look at me.
"Ion know why y'all lying. Anyways imma go see Rondo. What room he in?"
I asked quickly. They was making shit sooo awkward.
"He's in the room next door."
Cdai said pointing to the right. I nodded and left them niggas with L'a.
"Ronnnndooooo!"
I yelled running into his room and hugging him. He hugged me back.
"How my nigga doin?"
He asked referring to L'a.
"He's fine, he got shot in the thigh."
He shook his head.
"Shit could have been much worse. It's my fault he even got shot."
He said looking sad.
"You didn't shoot him...so how is it your fault?"
He shook his head.
"He peeped what was going on before me, and he tried to warn me. I wasn't paying attention, so he came up to me, and that's when they fired the shots. If I was wasn't so busy doing other shit, he wouldn't be in this mess."
I hugged him again.
"You know he's not gonna blame you, nobody will. It's not your fault, you were just busy and not paying attention. It happens to everyone."
"Yea but, I still feel like if I was paying attention, that wouldn't have happened. I'm sorry."
I shook my head.
"Don't be, it's not your fault. I'm happy you are both ok."
"I'm tired man."
He said yawning.
"You need to rest, I'll see you tomorrow."
He nodded as I left the room. I went back into L'a room. He was sleeping, he looked so peaceful. I was about to leave and go meet the boys outside the room.
"Stay with me."
He mumbled with his eyes still closed.
"You need to rest, I'll just come see you tomorrow."
He opened his eyes and pouted. I rolled my eyes, trying not to give in.
"Please, ion wanna stay here by myself bro."
Scary ass nigga. (A/N: am I the only one scared of staying in a hospital over night?)
"Fine, I'll just tell Mak."
I said heading towards the door.
"Hurry up."
Don't rush me nigga. I rolled my eyes and walked outside to Mak.
"He wants me to say with him. Sooo I guess I'll see y'all tomorrow."
He nodded. Ouuu, Mak and Ken get to be alone😏.
"Aight, call me if anything happens. Don't do no stupid shit."
I rolled my eyes.
"Mak, we in a hospital, the nigga is basically crippled. Wtf I'm post to do?"
"You heard what I said."
He said and walked away. That boy so annoying. I walked back into L'as room after checking on Rondo, who was already asleep. l'a I guess was up waiting for me to come back.
"Go to sleep."
"I can't."
He said whining.
"Why?"
"Ion know, I just can't."
I rolled my eyes.
"You know Rondo blames himself for you getting shot?"
"Not his fault."
I nodded my head.
"I know, he think that if he was listening when you warned him, you wouldn't be here."
"Nah, I couldn't just sit there and watch my nigga go down like that."
I ran my hands through his dreads.
"That sucks, we can't have sex."
I said laughing. His face went straight and he just stared at me.
"Man, why would you say that? Now you got me thinking about it."
I laughed even harder as he glared at me.
"Don't worry baby, imma take care you you. Just like you took care of me when I got stabbed."
"Mm, nah cause we fucked when you got stabbed."
I rolled my eyes. Ofc that's what's on his mind.
"Boy, that was like a week after I got stabbed. You still took care of me."
"Mhm, I guess."
He laid his head on my shoulder. Minuets later, I heard soft snores coming from him. After today, I think I need to talk to him about getting out the streets. Knowing this could happen again, scared tf outta me. It could be worse next time, or somebody else. I'm scared for their lives....
