"What's wrong Samantha? It looks like you've seen a ghost." Jackson had commented when the guards took me back to the cells.

I replied, "I have," and sat down in the corner. I haven't spoken since then, and I don't intend on trying to.

It had been hours since they brought me back and nothing has happened. They brought food for us, and I ate what I could. Who knows when the next time they'll be feeding us? Jake hasn't stopped pestering me about what happened. Every minute or so he would ask, but I never replied.

I just couldn't believe that they were alive. I had given up hope many years ago, along with everyone else who knew them. We all thought they were dead. But if Uncle Andy and Elizabeth survived, surely my parents must've too. I didn't care if they were working with my Uncle, I just wanted them to be alive. I wanted to be with them again. I've never wanted too many things in this world, but to have them back is the one thing I've always wanted.

            It was impossible and unimaginable.

But I had to think of the more pressing matters at hand. No matter how strange it was that I still had surviving members of my family, I needed to think of how to escape with my life. They obviously were planning on killing Julia, and I didn't want that to happen. Julia was still me responsibility, she wasn't dying on my watch. I had no idea what their plans for Jake and Jackson were though. They could probably make Jakr tell them the different gadgets the agency had made for me. They would take them away and I would have no chance at escape - wait - I still had my gadgets.

I still had my purse and my earrings. I could use them to get out of here. I had to find my fake iPod shuffle. I could send a picture to the agency for help! I tried to reach my purse pocket, but it was no use. I couldn't reach it. Great, well that failed.

I heard keys jangling in the lock and I turned my attention to the door. They were going to come in again. I saw the two bodyguards from earlier step in and unchain Jackson and Jake. They took them away from the room without much struggle. They didn't see the use in fighting against them. Where would they go if they did escape anyway?

Julia's eyes went wide as the doors closed. She must've came to the same realization that I did. They had almost no use for them, or her. They were most likely going to kill or torture Jake and Jackson.

            "Ash-Samantha?" Julia questioned.

            "What?"

"We aren't getting out, are we?"

"No, we are. I'm not letting us die here. We will escape."

"Are you sure? You might have a chance, but not me. They have no use for me. They obviously need you for something, seeing as you were so quiet when they brought you back. They told you something that you didn't like, they need you for something, but they don't need me." I was surprised at how observant she had been. She was smarter than I gave her credit for.

"No, I'm not letting you die, not on my watch." I tell her, leaving no room for argumentation on the matter.

She was about to respond when the door opened again. This time Elizabeth, was at the door with Jake. He wouldn't meet my eyes. What did he tell them already? How could he break so easily?

"Well, loyalty isn't worth much these days, is it?" She fake sympathized with me. He walked over to where I was and I did my best to stare her down. I wasn't going to show her how scared and frightened I actually was. I wasn't letting her win.

She stooped down and started to go through my purse. She took out one of my lipsticks and the iPod shuffle. She chuckled and walked back to the door. "So, they gave you a camera and a listening device? Pathetic. The agency had gotten softer since we left them." He just had to break under the pressure. He was an idiot for telling her about the gadgets. But why didn't she take the rest of them. She turned to Jake, "This is all they told you to make for her, right?"

"Yes." I heard him mumble. I met his gaze for just a second and I saw the glint in his eyes. He didn't tell them about the extra gadgets that he decided to make for me. He wasn't a traitor after all. He was trying to help me out while also helping his own skin, smart.

"Great. We'll leave you for now, Jakr can come with me to a separate cell. We wouldn't want you to try and kill him just yet." She smirked and left the room for the guards to lock me and Julia back in.

"You had a lipstick that could listen in on people this whole time? We could've used that. Now we can't even use those gadgets. What a pathetic use of a tech guy your agency has." I noticed that she was slowly getting more annoyed.

"No, he isn't stupid. He's a genius." I looked at my purse and I was able to reach it this time, Liz had moved it closer to me when she took out the lipstick and the iPod shuffle.

            "Excuse me?"

"He only told them about the two that the agency told him to make, not the extra ones that he made for me. If he hadn't told them anything, they would've just taken my purse and we wouldn't have anything." I took out the Lethal Kiss lip gloss from my bag, the corrosive one.

"Oh, wow. Wait, why do you have lip gloss?"

I ignored her question and squeezed some of the lip gloss on my chains. I waited a couple of seconds, the metal sizzled and fell apart. I rubbed my wrists where there were red rings from the chains. I then walked over to where Julia was and did the same to hers. She rubbed her wrists in relief too.

"Wait, let me check something out." I take the Brilliant Violet lipstick from my bag, the ultra violet flashlight. I press the on button and shine it across the room. Oh shit. Almost every corner of the room glowed.

"What is that? Is that blood?" Julia asks, fear in her voice.

"Yes, it's all blood." I almost forget to breath. How many people did they kill in here? I all of a sudden wish that I didn't have the instinct to check for blood. Maybe after we get out of here and we lead the agency back they'll be able to test the blood and see how many agents actually died by the hands of Cobra.

I turn off the light and put it back in my bag. Julia gives me a haunting look. "At least it won't be us, right?" She tries to reason with herself.

"Yeah, now we have to find a way to get through the door." I say.

"Why can't you use that corrosive lip gloss of yours?" She asks.

"Because the door is too thick, and I'm pretty sure I won't have enough lip gloss left to try and get through it all. We have to use something else." I went through my bag and searched for something that I could use to get through that door. After going through all my given gadgets I'm stumped. We might be free of our shackles, but we aren't free of this cage.

"Don't you have like mini bombs or something? That would be cool." Julia states. Of course!

            "You're a genius!" I exclaim.

            "I am?" She questions.

I take out my left earring and look at the back. The button is right where Jake said it would be. Perfect. I figured that there wouldn't be time for me to run away after I set it off. I decided that the best course of action would be to throw it at the door from a safe enough distance.

"Julia, you might want to stand back from the door." I tell her.

We both go towards the edge of the room, away from the door. I press the button and throw the diamond earring at the door. We both crouch and cover our ears. The explosion sound isn't as loud as I thought it would be, but that's a good thing. It would take longer for more guards to come. We weren't hit with any shrapnel. The worst part was the sudden heat wave of the explosion.

I run out the gaping hole in the wall and locate the guards. The first guard was buried beneath the rubble of the door and the second was attempting to stumble my way. The explosion must've disorientated him. I take out my Poison Berry lipstick from my purse and press the concealed button. Pepper spray comes out of the side and the guard covers his eyes in pain. I then take that distraction to roundhouse kick him in the head. He crumbles to the ground, knocked out. I turn and face Julia, who had also stepped through the hole that used to be the door.

"Wow, what else can you do?" She says in awe.

"No time to tell." I tell her and grab her arm. We run down the hall and hide in a crevice between two pillars, and in good timing too. The alarms soon go off after that. Red lights flash through the hall and some uniform guards go marching to the direction we came from. The sound of the alarm dull a little and I check to make sure that the hall is clear, it is.

"How do you know where to go? Wouldn't the guards have blindfolded you or something when they took you out earlier?" See, she is a lot more logical than you'd think.

"Yes, but I memorized how many steps I took and which direction we turned. It's something I learned from-" I catch myself. I learned this technique with Liz when we were little from my father. "Never mind."

We run through the halls and take the sharp turns when needed. I marked the walls with the glow in the dark pen whenever I could, so we could find our way back if we ever got lost. It seemed that there were more guards running throughout the place the closer we got to the room where they took me earlier. It seemed that they were intent on protecting that room from any danger. My intuition must've been correct, that was where they were controlling their whole operation from.

We hid in a dark curve of the wall when some other guards came running by. By now the word would've gotten to Uncle Andy and Liz about our escape. They would be trying to seal off the exits and all the entrances to the compound by now too. Our only chance was to get to the control room and make sure that they didn't find a way to get access to the launch codes. Those launch codes would start a nuclear war between us and half the world. If they started world war three, then there wouldn't be much left of the world afterwards.

After our last turn we made it to the room. We hid yet again in the dark corners of the hall, so we would be out of their line of sight. I listened in on them while trying not to be seen.

"You're kidding me! You let them escape! This will ruin everything we have worked so hard for! Send more guards out. How hard is it to find two teenage girls in here?" Uncle Andy's voice booms at presumably more guards.

"I'm sure we'll find them, they can't have gotten too far." Liz's familiar voice comforts her father.

"We still need her codes. Without her codes, we can't start the launch. The codes are too complicated to try and guess." Some other voice adds. I know this voice, but it can't be true. He can't be there.

"I know, but I have a feeling that we are going to get them out of her very soon. I sent two guards to collect the other prisoners. Soon, we will get those codes out of her and we will get the revenge that you and your partner deserve." Liz tells my Uncle. Wait, partner? So Uncle Andy isn't the sole controller of Cobra? Who was the other?

"How do you know that we'll be seeing her soon?" Uncle Andy asks.

"Because she's listening in on us right now."

            Shit.
