[I'm starting to like you.... like...you.]
The words repeated over and over in Meng's dream causing her heart to race wildly. Where ever she turned, no matter what she was looking at, the object would always say those words to her, scaring her witless. Soon she had heard it from dogs, birds, frogs, and even trees...
Unable to take it anymore Meng closed her eyes and covered her ears to try to block out what was happening around her. However, as if waiting for her, as soon as she closed her eyes a dazzling picture showed up in the darkness.
Two peach blossom eyes sparkled like stars, while an otherworldly face sported a playful smile. A loud youthful voice echoed in her ears [I like you.]
Meng woke up with a start, her eyes still filled with panic. Looking around, she sighed in relief when she saw that Feng Qi wasn't anywhere to be seen. She at least had a moment to think before confronting her victim again.
However, where exactly was she? The room looked a lot like Feng Qi's room in the book, but that would be impossible. That at least should be impossible right? Her eyes became more uncertain as she observed the surrounding space.
'Ha-ha impossible, Feng Qi hates people in his room....' Meng knew she was lying to herself but refused to accept the situation. She already felt enough like a failure, if she took another blow she might as well go die!
Getting out of bed, Meng's face turned black when she realized that while she was sleeping someone had changed her clothes. The dress was red, but unlike her normally bright color this one was duller and more resembled a brick.
Her maid's arm was removed, therefore who else would have taken care of her? A certain face jumped up into her head causing her face flush bright red.
No... she refused to believe that not only she had turned her idol soft, but also into a sicko! The emperor probably set a room up for her and arranged another maid.
Feeling uncomfortable in the room, Meng marched toward the door and flung it open only to see Shadow one standing guard outside of it. Their eyes met for a second before out of nowhere, Shadow one collapsed on the ground.
Meng: "..."
Seeing that his chest was still moving up and down, Meng walked over his fallen body in a carefree manner. She saw absolutely nothing... there is still no proof that she was in Feng Qi's room.
Walking down the corridor away from 'Feng Qi's room', her eyes were blood shot from concentration. As long she didn't accept it than it didn't happen! Her steps were unsteady as she continued her way down the hallway.
Inside of 'Defying Moonlight' Feng Qi was the only untouched entity in a world of filth. He was free of complicated things like feelings and didn't over indulge in anything.
Characteristics like this made him just even when the entire world hated him. He was only able to get so far because he felt this way, however if she ruined his foundation, what hope would he have in the future?
No matter what she needed to fix him quickly before it was too late.
