Felix smiled adoringly at (Y/N) as he held her pastel pink Polaroid camera in his hands, the pad of his pointer finger playing with the shutter as he waited for the right moment to capture her beauty at the overlook where there was a panoramic view of the lighted city of Seoul down below.
Seconds later he fumbled to depress the shutter, seeing that (Y/N) was at a perfect angle, half of her body shown as she runs a hand through her hair, the wind softly brushing her hair back with the bright lights illuminating her features. She was in an oversized tee and a pair of jeans and some high-cut sneakers. Her hair was down and her face was free of makeup, but Felix thought she was even more beautiful, and was surprised at the fact that she could pull any apparel off so effortlessly.
"Yongbok," whined (Y/N) as she looked at him with a soft smile playing on her lips, her eyes glossy as blue, red and green lights flashed on her orbs.
"Yes?" he smiles, wrapping his scarf tighter around his body as the Christmas breeze settles in once more, this time a bit harsher than the first. Snow was fast moving in, and in a few more hours the twenty-fifth of the final month of the year will come by.
"It was forecasted last night that one special meteor will come down as a shooting star tonight," she says. "What do you wish for?"
Felix shrugged, as he continued to gaze at his girlfriend lovingly. He admired her like it was the first time, and he would gladly do that all over again. He could feel himself falling deeper in love, stuck in a vortex that he couldn't get out of.
Then, a bright meteorite was seen flying across the night sky, and (Y/N) quickly folded her hands in a praying motion and closed her eyes, her head high up in the sky. Felix smiled and brought the camera back to his face, depressing the shutter once more.
When (Y/N) opened her eyes, she noticed Felix was staring at her. It made blood rush to her cheeks, and she couldn't help but feel flustered. In a span of three years of being together, she still feels the same eruption of butterflies in her stomach, the fuzzy feeling of rainbows and sunshine she gets.
"What did you wish for?" she asks once more.
"Nothing," Felix smiled and walked closer to her, in his hands was gently nestled the Polaroid camera.
"Why?" the girl pouts, "the next shooting star will be occuring months from now, and you-"
Before she could continue on with her rant, Felix pulled her to his chest and smashed his lips on hers, the same time when different colors of fireworks blasted in the sky, filling the dark blanket of the night as 00:00 came. It was Christmas.
(Y/N) kissed back almost instantly, her hands automatically reaching up to grip the sleeves of his grey hoodie as Felix held her in place, the buzz of the fireworks and the muffled cheers of people from down below setting in the background.
Finally, they pulled away after a few second. They were left in frenzy, wanting more.
"Why didn't you wish for anything?" the girl whispers softly, her eyes hazy.
"Why would I wish for anything more when I already have the one that I wanted, needed, and loved the most?" he smiled, caressing her head in the most loving manner.
(Y/N)'s heart swelled at the simple action, the apples of her cheeks tinting a light shade of pink as Felix's hands held onto the fabric of her sweater. She buried her head on his chest and kissed the clothed skin, placing her ear on top of his beating heart.
"I love you so much, Felix," she says.
"I love you more."
As he collected her back in his arms, Felix knew, deep down inside his heart, he wished something for Christmas. He wished something upon a shooting star.
A wish for time to freeze and for this feeling to never end, like a summer day never fading.
A wish to forever stay in this moment, a moment of sheer happiness, pure jubilee, and clear joyfulness, without the worries of tomorrow, the sadness, the pain, and all the unexpected emotions coming all in one go like a tidal wave.
A wish to forever be the cause of intoxication.
