this is inspired by the song 'sunflower' from Sierra Burgess is a Loser! i don't really like that movie because she catfishes him and i couldn't even get halfway through i felt so bad for Jamey... but the song is gorgeous and this is almost what i'm going through right now with a boy that i think i like,,, we're really close and he's very touchy and flirty and whatever but i'm not sure if he likes me back and he had a crush on my best friend a week or two ago so... :( confusion

Thomas sighed, watching his best friend saying goodbye to his girlfriend. Britt was a tiny blond girl who was bubbly and gorgeous and everything he wasn't, and he felt a little twang in his chest as Dylan leaned down to kiss her.

The brunet said one last thing to her, making her laugh, and she wrapped her arms around him. Thomas took a swig of coffee, not prepared for this kind of hurt at four in the morning.

"Hey man." Ki Hong sat down beside Thomas, dropping his bag beside him and observing the pretty much empty airport. Thomas just grunted in return, his eyes still trained on the happy couple. Ki knew of his crush, and sighed. "You have to stop putting yourself down, Thomas."

"It isn't any use. Look, you have eyes, you can see it. They're so in love that they'll end up making out right there on the floor." Thomas finished his coffee and sighed. His friend shook his head.
"Don't think like that, man."

Dylan smiled and kissed Britt again, a longer goodbye this time. Thomas tore his eyes off of them and looked down at his trainers. He didn't look back up until there was another pair next to his, and then a warm voice that he'd know anywhere.
"Ready to go?" Dylan held out a hand for Thomas to get up with, a smile on his pink, pink lips. Thomas took it and Dylan pulled him up, Ki Hong standing as well. "God, i know we travel lots, but i'm not ready for ten hours on a plane."
Thomas laughed, his heart pulling again, his brain shutting down in the presence of a god. "Me either, Dyl."

Dylan waved to Britt as they went through customs, and Thomas pretended not to notice them making funny faces through the glass at each other.
