{Gray paper « death}
Person's POV
Misono silently walked over to the small box in the middle of the dim light room. Lily could only follow him with a smile since this was his first time being inside Someone's mind and he might cause some casualties if he acted recklessly.
" Lily what is this box? "
" Hmm... Why not look inside? "
Misono gasped. " Are you an idiot? What if there's a bomb inside?! " Lily couldn't help chuckle since he didn't think that something like that would happen so he kneeled down near the box and opened it himself.
" Get out of here. "
" What the f—??? "
" Its Mahiru san! " Lily clapped both his hands in glee but the joy was short lived as they saw how cold this said Person's eyes were. They almost seemed lifeless to be exact.
The child got out of the box with a grumpy frown. He glared at the two much to Misono's irritation. This was not how the Mahiru he knows would act. " leave me alone. "
An irk mark appeared on top of Misono's head. This mini Mahiru version was as far the most annoying one he could take next to Shiro that is. " HOW DARE SUCH A COMMONER LIKE YOU RUDELY SAY SUCH THING TO ME!!"
" now now Misono kun~..." Lily weakly smiled half heartedly trying to calm the purple head male down.
" I don't want friends... " The child started running away.
" O—Hey wait! " the two soon chased after the child only to see a funeral. The scene was black and white just like in old films. Mahiru held a white flower in his hand while standing in front of the tombstone of someone.
" No wonder she died. He made the professor Angry again. "
" Should have known that she was helping that child."
" Now what?"
" The project is cancelled. The servamps have been released by the organization. It's better to start living a normal life. "
" And him? That thing? "
" I don't want to take care of him."
"He's a monster."
" I'm a busy person. "
"Excuses. That's all adults do. " Mahiru placed the flower on the ground and stomped on it. He glared at the people behind him making them flinch and silently as well as awkwardly walk off in a hurry.
" Why do people die..? "
Misono knitted his brows as the gray clouds started to fill the sky making droplets of water fall from above soon turning it into a huge downpour. Yet Mahiru didn't move from his spot.
" Shirota— " Before he could call out a woman passed through him like he was an illusion. A Ghost. The woman had an umbrella so she held it high to shelter the child from the rain even though he was already soaked.
" Would you let me adopt you? " She smiled kindly at him before stretching a hand out to the child. Mahiru hesitantly took her hand and was led to the same house the others were at the start of entering Mahiru's mind. Apparently it was the house of that lady. From the reports Lily's subclasses had gathered, This person was his mother. Guess the files were wrong.
Mahiru was adopted.
As times passed by she started to lighten Mahiru's personality though she also did got older and older while Mahiru slowly started to progress into a normal rate of growth since he hasn't drank blood for a long time.
Then the day Mahiru got into an accident.
"?! " It wasn't the accident that frightened Misono to the point of speechless-ness but the action Mahiru took.
In front of him was the scientist that created him, the white silver haired male that raised him, Because of the dark his features was covered. With a few words, Mahiru's body obeyed and drank the ladie's blood until she had fainted. Dropping her body to the ground, he was devastated with what he did.
But the reports stated his mother got into an accident?! Misono thought biting his lower lip.
" I knew you were still mine Mahiru!" The mad man smiled in glee. " I finally got out of that pesky wormhole she made for me~ I even created Another you." Mahiru backed off slowly step by step.
" no... no... mom... this can't... " Mahiru held his head and with his trembling voice denied reality.
" Mahiru. Come on now. I know you know where the book is. Hand it over~ " Mahiru's hands began to rampage his pockets and took out his phone, on the scene showed the number of the police station.
" Get away from me..! "
" Mahiru~ Don't be like this~ I can still make you Immortal~ I can still make you the most perfect experiment I have! "
" I don't... Can't... no... get... away from me! " He pressed dial and suddenly his eyes flashed the color of red before he fainted. Johannes sighed before kicking the ladies body in annoyance.
" You bitch. You erased his memory didn't you! Screw you! How many more times will you get into my plans!! " He shouted before leaving the scene with sirens ringing out from the background.
" I can't trust people..."
" Shirota..? "
" There is no somebody... "
" Shirota stop the crap and show yourself! "
" Mahiru san!! Please show yourself to us! "
" There's no point everyone always leaves me alone. "
Misono clicked his tongue knowing he won't be able to force him to appear. " So what if people die? We can still remember them! "
" Its Annoying... losing someone... being by myself... "
Misono slightly widened his eyes. " Shirota... were you always lonely by yourself..? "
". . ." Silence
" Mahiru san. If you're lonely there's no need to hide it. We're here for you, Aren't we all your friends?. "
" That's right! Even though you're a commoner but because You're my first friend I'll be there for you! Aren't friends supposed to help each other! "
" Annoying...no... I don't need friends... "
" And yet you made me your friend? Stop lying to yourself Shirota! Everyone gets lonely not only you. But we have people that can help us! For me it's lily and for—"
" Aw I'm touched misono"
" Shut up Lily!!!" Misono turned into a tomato in embarrassment but recomposed himself with a fake cough. " For you it's Kuro isn't it? That dense lazy bastard? "
"K... kuro..? "
" Shirota. If you're lonely you just have to tell us. We'll help you. "
" . . . "
" As long as there are people who cares. Who would go out of their way to meet you. Text you. Call you. Or even a simple pat can ease loneliness. Because you know. You know There's someone there that would care for you. So... Shirota if you feel lonely Me and those commoners are here for you. You don't have to keep it in. "
" i... Can it really help...? " Misono noticed a child from the distance and he sighed. He walked over it from behind and hugged it.
" It will. Just like how it helped me... I'm sure it will help you too... Let me help you just this once. I'm always the one being helped by you..."
The child began to sob loudly.
" I don't want to be alone anymore... People always die... Its... lonely... "
