The winter arrives fast. It's the start of December and the entire castle is covered by a white powder. Skyler's currently running through Hogsmeade, in order to hide from all the boys who would like to take her to the dance.
"Skyler, please, consider it, at least!" One of them yells. Most of them are from one year beneath Skyler, but there are a few who don't stop coming back. Cormac McLaggen is one of them. After ten minutes, the fifth year manages to corner Skyler in a dead alley.
"Please, darling, reconsider your choice. Think about how good we'd look together. I mean, we're obviously the two most handsome people in the entire school." He pleads, approaching her, whilst Skyler is already with her back against the wall.
"C-Cormac, I'm very sure that you're a very nice guy... but I just don't want to go to the ball with you." Skyler rejects, slowly walking away from the older boy. When he's the one that's cornered, Skyler resumes her run towards the Three Broomsticks, where she is meeting her friends in five minutes.

"Well, how is it going, Sky? And Draco, how're you doing?" Blaise says with a smirk, as he looks at the window. At least three pairs of boys and girls are standing in front of it, hoping to get the attention of both Skyler and Draco.
"Gods, how much I love this conversation." Theo teases, taking a sip of his Butterbeer.
"Stop it." Skyler and Draco growl simultaneously. They send each other a glare of surprise.
"Well, I don't even have time to ask someone for a date, for I'm always followed by a herd of boys. But, I've heard Harry doesn't have someone, yet. So maybe I'll just ask him." Skyler shrugs. Theo, Blaise and Draco spill their drinks over the table.
"YOU'RE ASKING POTTER?!" Blaise yells. Skyler raises an eyebrow.
"For one, gross, and, maybe. Or Anatoli Krum or something. I don't want to go with one of those brats who are just after my fame." She says.
"Where did I hear that before?" Theo mumbles, looking at Draco. Just then, the boys and girls who were standing in front of the window a few seconds ago, seem to have found their way in.
"DRAACOOO!" The girls squeal. The boys just follow, saying their usual sentences: "Please, Skyler..."
Draco and Skyler look at Blaise and Theo, and then to each other.
"Run." The four friends say in unison. They all throw two Galleons on the table and race out of the bar.
"We have to leave these two celebrities!" Theo exclaims dramatically, as he and Blaise both run the other way, back to the castle. The herd of admirers are coming, for they're making a lot of noise.
"Ferret follow me." Skyler whispers. She runs into one of the small alleys.
"You know I hate it when you call me that!" Draco groans as he follows her. The alley is dark and there's not much space.
"Alright what do you want to do now?" Draco asks annoyed, not seeing how Skyler puts her mob cap on her head.
"Okay, listen, I've learned this trick from Natasha and..." Skyler already hears them. She doesn't hesitate and pulls Draco's lips to hers.
"Alright, what the hell?!" Draco exclaims as they separate.
"Public physical contact, it's uncomfortable to look at, so they don't waste their time at it." Skyler explains.
"Alright, so that... wasn't... you know?" Draco stammers, a little out of his comfort zone.
"Not if you don't want it to be." Skyler whispers, looking up to Draco again. His stormy grey-blue eyes are looking confused into hers. He pulls a strand of blonde hair out of Skyler's face, cupping her cheek in the process. Skyler now looks from his eyes to his lips and back, leaning in a little. Draco closes his eyes and closes the gap. Fireworks explode inside Skyler's stomach as they share a passionate kiss. Their lips moving perfectly with each other in sync. Skyler puts her arms around Draco's neck, whilst Draco has one on her hip and the other still on her cheek.
"ALRIGHT, MAY I BE THE FIRST ONE TO SAY THIS: WHAT THE HELL?!" Blaise Zabini exclaims, as he and Theo watch them make out. Skyler and Draco separate, and both look at Blaise, a little angry.
"Hey guys," Skyler begins awkwardly, "what's up?"
"What the hell do you guys think you're doing?" Theo asks confused.
"Just making out with my girlfriend, mate." Draco answers, smirking broadly, pulling Skyler closer with his arm around her waist.
"Girlfriend, eh? I don't remember anything being official?" Skyler jokes, smirking up at Draco.
"Well, by all means, my lady. Would you do me the honour of being my girlfriend?" Draco asks, placing his hand on his heart, bowing slightly. Skyler bites her lip.
"Hm. Let me think... I could reject you and crush your pride and your heart..." She mumbles, making both of Theo and Blaise snicker and Draco look up at her, terrified.
"But, I think I'll keep it on a small yes, for now." Skyler continues, a little louder, smiling at Draco, before pulling him closer for another kiss.
"Well, let's say you both have found your dates for the Yule Ball." Blaise grins, "My, Draco, what are your parents going to say? She isn't a Pure-Blood. Merlin, I want to be there when you get the lecture."
"My parents don't need to know..." Draco mutters.
"Besides, Zabini," Skyler says haughty, "I'm a princess, for god's sake. They should be kneeling before me. As should you." Blaise gulps, and looks down. "Just kidding, Blaise. I won't do that, ever."

"Sky, do you already have a dress?" Pansy asks at night, when all the girls are sitting with each other on their four-poster-beds.
"Yes, you want to see it?" Skyler answers, already walking to her wardrobe. She shows the girls her dress.
"How a fine choice. But, Sky, it's a bit of a basic. I'm sure that I can let it shine even more. You're a champion, you'll have to look magnificently." Daphne Greengrass assures her, walking up to Skyler, getting a better look at the dress.
"Would you mind sleeves? And an Ombre-effect? And some gems in another colour?" She asks eagerly. Skyler looks surprised, but happily.
"If it isn't too much of a burden, I'd really like that." She answers, a smile on her face.
"Do you actually have a date already?" Tracy Davies asks curiously.
"I actually have, but who, that'll be a surprise." Skyler answers again, a smirk and a blush on her face. "Anyway, I need to get to the bathroom. I have to investigate something." Skyler says, as she takes her bathrobes and her Golden Egg.
