"Morning." Zoey looked up from her phone. She was sitting at the breakfast bar sipping her coffee, glasses perched on her nose as scrolled through her phone.
"Morning." Laney echoed grabbing a coffee cup down from the cabinet.
"What time did you get in last night? I didn't hear you."
"Oh it was late." Laney grinned, "After 12."
"Should have just stayed the night." Zoey took a sip of coffee.
"Believe me, it crossed my mind. But we have reshoots in like 3 days. I want to get back to the gym. You want to come with?"
"Sure. So how do you feel about tabloids?"
"What kind of question is that?" Laney leaned on the counter.
Zoey flipped her phone around and showed her the article slamming her for breaking Tom's heart and making the rounds with the marvel cast.
"Wow." Laney pushed herself up from the counter taking Zoey's phone in her hand so she could read it.
After reading the article she continued scrolling looking at the cheap paparazzi pictures. "What trash. So I'm dating Tommy now too." She rolled her eyes. "They really made me out to be a little harlot, didn't they?" She poured coffee to the top of the cup before sitting down across from Zoey.
"Sorry I didn't mean to dump it on you first thing."
Laney waved her hand, "It's fine. I'm used to it. I mean they got 75% of the story true."
"Obviously you're not dating Tommy." Zoey smiled propping her chin up with her hand. "But what about Hiddles being heartbroken. I think that might be pretty accurate."
"No....he just wants what he can't have is probably more likely."
"I don't know. You said you guys hooked up in January and he was really persistent in wanting you back. He hasn't seemed to let up."
"Yeah we hooked up in January. Eww aren't I told old for that? Isn't he? What am I doing?"
"That was months ago....wait does Chris know that you slept with him? Or that you guys were making out a lot?"
"No! And we weren't making out a lot....just whenever I saw him." She sighed, "Chris doesn't know. What's the point? We weren't together yet."
"OK..." Zoey pursed her lips and looked away, "So about the gym....."

"So you saw the crap online I'm guessing?" Laney asked Chris later that night. They were at her place eating take out Chinese in her living room.
"I saw it. You ok?"
Laney nodded, "Yeah, I'm used to it"
"You're used to being tied to multiple co-stars?" Chris raised an eyebrow with a grin.
"Well no, But I'm used to be talked about in the magazines. And on social media. When I was dating Tom you wouldn't believe the hate I would get. I eventually learned to tune it out."
"I don't want you to have to go through that." Chris set his food down and turned towards Laney taking the food from her hands, he set it down next to his on the coffee table.
"Thank you. But it's going to happen. I mean you saw the article. I broke Loki's heart. His fandom alone will come after me. And your fandom won't let me off so easy either."
"I don't know, I think my fans are pretty understanding." Chris pulled her legs over his and she laid back on the couch.
"I'm sure most of them are. But...." She trailed off with a shrug.
"Well let's not think of them right now. Or anyone else matter of fact." Slipping out from underneath her he crawled up the couch till he was hovering over top of her.
"Did I tell you how much I missed you when I was in Seattle?" Laney whispered.
"Yeah, but you can tell me again." He smiled as she reached up and tugged on his shirt pulling his mouth down to hers.
Laney's phone buzzing on the coffee table interrupted them.
"Ignore it." Chris murmured his lips against her.
They continued kissing but her phone went off again.
"Ugh!" Laney groaned, "Let me check who it is." She grabbed her phone from the coffee table.
"Hey Mikey!"
"Hey! Auntie! Court's in labor!"
"She is?! Are mom and dad there?"
"Yeah, I was waiting to call you until I knew we were going to be staying at the hospital."
"I don't think I can get a flight till tomorrow." Laney pushed herself up on the couch.
"That's ok. Just get here when you can."
"OK. I'll send you details as soon as I have them."
"Sounds good. bye Lane- love you."
"Love you!" Laney hung up the phone, "Courtney's having the baby. How quickly can I get to San Francisco?"
"We can get there quick." Chris pulled his phone out of his pocket.
"You're going to come with me?" Laney smiled.
"Of course! I mean if that's ok."
"More than ok!" She leaned over kissing his cheek softly. "You're sorta the best you know that?"
Chris grinned turning to kiss her on the lips. "You make me the best. Ok go pack, I'll work on getting our flight."
"Aye Aye Captain!"
