I wake up, on the floor. I guess we fell asleep. I don't see Josh though. I sit up.
"Josh?" Nothing.
"Joshua?" Still nothing.
"Joshie?"
"Yesssss?" Oh thank God. I get up. He smiles at me from the kitchen.
"Jesus Josh you-"
"I'm sorry, who?" He says cupping his ear like he didn't hear me.
"Jesus Joshie you scared the shit out of me." He smiles.
"Much better... And why did I scare the shit out of you?"
"Because I didn't know where you were...." He comes towards me and holds my face in his hands.
"You don't have to worry about me Jess. I'll be right Beside You." Aww frick he's so Perfect. He's so sweet.
"Thanks Joshie..... That means a lot." He smiles and kisses me. I go upstairs to get dressed. Josh follows me because his clothes are in my room. I grab clothes and go into my bathroom. I wear a sleeveless All Timr Low shirt and black denim shorts. I walk back out. Josh smiles at me.
"Helllooo? Anybody home?" Shit. Shit shit shit. My parents are home. Josh looks at me with worry in his eyes.
"My parents are home..." I whisper.
"What do we do? It's going to look... bad." How will it look ba-
Oh.
"Well..... I guess we tell them now."
"Jess. We're coming out of your bedroom. That's going to look bad."
"No. My parents know I'd never do that." We walk downstairs. My mom was cooking.
"Hi honey how was-Oh. Hello." She says smiling at Josh.
"Hello..." Josh says awkwardly.
"Who's this Jessa?" I swallow hard.
"This is my.....boyfriendJosh." My dad perks up.
"Boyfriend?" My mom smiles. So far so good.
"Yeah. This is Josh." Josh smiles. My dad walks over and shakes his hand.
"I'm Dave and this my wife Helen."
"Nice to meet you Mr and Mrs Caplan... "
"If you don't mind me asking, what is your last name?" GOD dad! Stop.
"Ramsay. Josh Ramsay."
"Ramsay? As in the Ramsay's down the street?" My dad asks.
"Yeah. Thats us."
"Okay. So you're Miles and Corlynn's boy. Nice to meet you Josh." I smile.
"Would you like to stay for dinner?" My mom asks. Well, he was already. Josh hesitates. I nudge his leg.
"Uh yeah. Sure." My mom smiles and continues to cook.
After dinner, we were walking upstairs.
"Jessa!" My mom yells. I groan.
"Whhaaatt mom?"
"Never mind." She says. We continue to walk upstairs. We enter my bedroom.
"Oh my God. I'm so so sorry for that." I say. Josh laughs.
"Nahh its okay Jess. Don't sweat it." He says while sitting beside me on my bed. I smile and kiss him.
"Thank you..." I say as I rest my forehead on his.
"For what?"
".....For everything you've done for me." He smiles.
"And thank you.... For being you and always making me smile." I tear up a little. He kisses me.
"Josh you're too good to me." He smirks.
"Jess. I will always be Good To You." I smile and hug him. He hugs me back. I never want this moment to end.
*knock knock*
I jinxed myself. We pull away and Josh sits in my chair across the room.
"Honey? Can I come in?" It was my mom.
"Yeah." She walks in and smiles.
"Me and your father are leaving. We'll be back Wednesday. Bye honey." She says as she hugs me. She waves to Josh and walks out.
".....Wednesday? That's a long time to be alone for...." Josh speaks up. I nod.
"Yeah. I know. My brother is moving in with his girlfriend some time soon I bet. So I'll be alone. Great."
"You won't be alone Jess."
"Yeah... Because my mo-" I start but Josh cuts me off.
"Hey. I'll come over everyday. And if you really need me to, I'll stay." I smile. He's so sweet.
"Thanks Josh." He smiles.
"Anytime Jess. So they came for dinner... And then they leave."
"Yeah. Weird. I know." He laughs a little and rubs the back of his neck.
"Whatcha wanna do?" I shrug.
"I don't know... Hmm... OOH I KNOW!"
"What?!"
"Let's do nothing and just chill!" He smiles.
"I like the way you think Caplan." I pout.
"Oh I'm sorry. I like the way you think Jess." I smile.
"Thanks Joshie." He laughs.
"Okay. Let's talk about..... Music. Who's your top three bands?" He asks me.
"All Time Low, AC/DC and Aerosmith. They're soo amazing."
"I didn't think you were a rock kinda girl." I smile.
"I am. I loooovvve AC/DC." Josh smiles.
"Yeah. Same. I like Highway To Hell. Awesome vocals in that song."
"Oh my God! I love Highway To Hell!" He laughs.
"Who doesn't?"
"Losers. That's who." We laugh.
